Biden gave medals of freedom to actors, scientists, and yes politicians. Trump will give medals of freedom to police assaulters and war criminals.

I remember in the first days after Jan. 6 there was an effort to censure Trump and election denialism that was largely bi-partisan, rightly so.
But with the 'radical crazy' FC like MTG still around and Trump still in the picture it gradually became the GOP dogma and here we are .
Shocking in the "World's Greatest Democracy ™" here is Trump on the verge of re-inauguration.
South Korea seems like it is wrestling with wannabe authoritarians who try insurrections with more respect for the rule of law.

I disagree.
I disagree and look, in the end it all backfired, karma.
Thank God, can’t beat fate and karma as well
Exciting!
Different country, different rules, different ideologies. They eat live octopus, we don’t, we’re different so they do what they see right and go by their constitutional laws and so do we for our nation, and here we are.

Will Trump pardon those who committed violent acts against the police and security officers?
bass4funk
Who knows? Depends
lincolnman
So a convicted felon (34) is going to pardon a fellow group of convicted felons who attempted to circumvent a free and fair election, putting 140 police officers in the hospital, and causing millions of dollars in damage...

Considering this administration denied these Americans legal due process and never gave them their Miranda rights, I would say, justice will finally be served.
plasticmonkey
Patently false.
stormcrow
A traitor pardoning fellow traitors for following his treasonous directions to attack the Capital.
What a surprise!
Blacklabel
How odd, but who was charged with, and convicted of, treason?
no one. What a surprise!
bass4funk
Nothing false about it, and now here is where it gets interesting, because they were denied, once these people are out, I assume there will be a gang of lawyers that will take their cases free of charge and they will start filing lawsuits, so a lot of people will be making money, a lot.

My favorite part of Jan 6th moving forward will be the anniversary every year of Kamala being forced to certify her own election loss.
after Democrats passed a law taking away all the options Mike Pence previously had but chose not to use.

This is going to seem weird coming from an avowed Democrat, but I think he should pardon them all.
Why? Because then there won't be any remaining doubt that the USA has openly and willingly discarded its reputation as the self-styled exemplar of morality, of law and order, etc.
If he pardons them all, we will be openly announcing that we no longer stand for the peaceful transfer of power, that attacking the US capitol is fine, that assaulting law enforcement is both acceptable and indeed laudable, and that basically we are now a joke of a country which has flushed its good name down the toilet...and that we don't care.
As long as there is wiggle room to argue that America still stands for what is right, then it will be difficult to understand the logic of pardoning these people. Instead, why not shrug and accept it for what it is: a country which simply doesn't want to be bothered any more.

Link, please.

Because the heart of MAGA is nothing but insecurity, bitterness, and grievance.

But he certainly should pardon the many nonviolent ones who were invited in by agents.
And hopefully, we will finally learn who planted the "explosive devices".

The last 4 years already proved that, why do you think people voted the way they did and that’s to your point.
Yeah, that argument doesn’t hold water anymore, people see the left for what they really are and thankfully people are waking up to that revelation.
Because it was a riot and these people had every right to question the validity of an election, especially if it smells foul. The Dems didn’t want to certify Trump in 2016 and most didn’t attend his inauguration ceremony, and remember, the left were all in support of Stacy Abram’s challenging the validity of her campaign, she protested and stated her election was rigged, any outcry from the left to tell her to accept the results? Nope. They said that she was within her constitutional rights to appeal.
The left really can’t and should never lecture anyone when it comes to the rule of law, the constitution and democracy. Please don’t…
If that were the case we would have our first female President elect.
plasticmonkey
That's not what the history books will remember.
A shameful day. Brought on by the man child Donald Trump.
bass4funk
I did earlier, just vanished, wonder why….
No, the opposite, secure, ecstatic, and jubilant, as well as hopeful.

Here's a list of the scumbags who did Trump's bidding.

Check it out now before Pam Bondi's DOJ scrubs this info from the site.

Tiny amounts of power can always can be used as you see fit, as long as you don't violate the Constitution.
Blacklabel
just when WE win, suddenly the Presidency, the Senate, the House and the Supreme Court are just almost totally powerless? lol
stormcrow
@Blacklabel
Some of the rioters were found guilty, so we know they weren’t just a sightseeing group. As for Trump, well, power has its privileges. You can ignore what he did, but the facts speak for themselves and history will not look favorably upon Donald J. Trump.
”Ignorance is bliss.”
plasticmonkey
False equivalence.
Some didn't. The overwhelming majority did.
Now compare that with the 147 Republicans who voted against certification.
Most did. More disinformation.
Who is "the left"?
Your "whaddabout" false equivalences don't make for a persuasive argument about pardoning people who attacked police officers at the Capitol.
plasticmonkey
If Trump revives his plan to make a "National Garden of American Heroes", he can issue an edict to include statues of all January 6 "patriots". But of course the biggest statue of all will be the biggest patriot himself. Made of solid gold.
Because that's what Americans voted for. Landslide mandate for our team and all that.
Blacklabel
i would go see that, wouldn’t you? Wasn’t Biden gonna be added to Mount Rushmore? lol
now you are “getting it” finally.
