The facts fully show that on January 6 President Trump was acting on behalf of the American people, carrying out his duties as president of the United States.

Addressing a crowd of supporters is an act of campaigning. It is not part of presidential duties. And Trump clearly had no interest in the duties of the office as he locked himself in a room watching TV coverage of the chaos, tweeting to his supporters, and messaging allies to stop the certification. Not one bit presidential.

Moreover, his admonition that his supporters ‘peacefully and patriotically make (their) voices heard,’

Disingenuous BS. Trump’s rhetoric over many weeks had primed his supporters for extreme action. Like a mob boss, Trump’s messaging is designed to shield himself from blame but be understandable to the mob.

these Democrat Hoaxes are completely meritless,” spokesperson Steven Cheung said

Another whiff by the “Elite Legal Strike-force” that is the Z-Team of losers that are the “Trump legal team” (Stifles a giggle).

The idea that attending a political rally (to incite an insurrection no less) after the election has been decided is somehow a function of the POTUS is something so laughable that only a moron would postulate it.

8 ( +16 / -8 )

So now he can get sued in civil court and his absolute immunity “claim” in the January 6th cases will very likely be decided in a similar manner and adjudicated in appeals court quite quickly.

Sorry, Don. You’re going to trial and you WILL face Justice before the election.

7 ( +16 / -9 )

Can’t prosecute him while he was President. I don’t agree, but ok.

Can’t prosecute him out of office for crimes committed while in office because he used to be president? Nope.

Cant prosecute him for things he did AFTER he was out of office because he is running for president? Double-Nope.

The courts have spoken and any appeals will agree: The president (or former president) is not a King.

He/She is not above the law and are subject to it.

Orange Jesus will face a reckoning, both civil and criminal for his attempts to overthrow American democracy because he objectively lost the election.

Oh yes, there will be a reckoning.

8 ( +15 / -7 )

Finally end his misery!

Send him to where he belongs!

My recommendation:

Rikers Island!

I'm sure the inmates will give him a warm welcome!

12 ( +18 / -6 )

I vote for ADX Florence AKA the Alcatraz of the Rockies.

He’d be so totally isolated, that his security team could play cards in the girl are room all day and his goobers could be kept away.

6 ( +12 / -6 )

“Thank god for appeals!” Bingo

5 ( +11 / -6 )

On to “Our SCOTUS”!

Where the appeal will likely be denied without comment.

9 ( +14 / -5 )

Lock him up.

11 ( +17 / -6 )

“The current appeal was decided by a unanimous three-court panel that included Judge Gregory Katsas, a Trump appointee to the bench who authored his own concurring opinion”

It’s the final paragraph but an important one. I’ll leave it here before ‘the Dems’ and ‘the left’ conspiracies start, just in case the article isn’t read first.

On to “Our SCOTUS”!

Packing the Supreme Court with his minions hasn't worked out quite as well for Trump as he was expecting, I think.

11 ( +17 / -6 )

Indeed it has not. Nor at the Appeals Court level either.

Funny how the Rule of Law works….

7 ( +13 / -6 )

Another day another Trump L.

Love it.

7 ( +13 / -6 )

And your boo lost. Again.

Almost as if he has no case…

9 ( +15 / -6 )

Trump can be sued over Jan 6

"The three-judge panel turned aside Trump’s sweeping argument that nearly all speech and conduct by an incumbent president should be shielded from lawsuits."

13 ( +14 / -1 )

As far as the article, something can proceed. So what?

civil cases from….Democrats in Congress? Not partisan at ALL, no way!

So now 0 for 6 on getting Trump removed from the ballot?

Good luck on all this. Election Day T-350 days? Good luck!

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

So Trump is going to be sued again - time to add even more quack lawyers to his "crack" legal team....

Maybe he'll call his former ace lawyers Powell, Cheseboro, Ellis....or maybe even Bill Barr?

Nah, doubt it...

But we do know what will happen - Trump will insult the judges even more so he can get another mugshot - to scam his supporters out of even more of their m oney...

The MAGA-grift continues...

More good news!

Wrong, but the J6 baseless attack once again is not going to work. But it is amusing that the Dems still try an grasp at all these straws.

Not one bit presidential.

If that were true, his numbers wouldn’t be where they’re at, they would be around how you feel.

Disingenuous BS.

No, but the feverish and desperate attempts at trying to get this guy are.

Trump’s rhetoric over many weeks had primed his supporters for extreme action. Like a mob boss, Trump’s messaging is designed to shield himself from blame but be understandable to the mob.

Based on that statement, you have just proven once again the sad and sick obsession that the left have with this guy and that your only focus is just block the guy from running and nothing more and it makes the left look desperate and very sadly unhinged. Cause for deep concern, the left and their emotional health. Please continue to help Trump. Lol

Steven Cheung is a reprehensible schmuck with not a shred of moral integrity.

Why is he a schmuck? Because he has an opinion? Would he be great man if he hated Trump? Would he then be credible?

civil cases from….Democrats in Congress? Not partisan at ALL, no way!

It's not just them though, is it. Perhaps it's harder to make your point if you also have to mention the police officers?

13 ( +14 / -1 )

I wonder if somebody has made a study about the impact of Trump on legal fees, I suspect he represents a nice bump on the money lawyers made the past year.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Good luck on all this. Election Day T-350 days? Good luck!

See? I predicted this would come up.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Packing the Supreme Court with his minions hasn't worked out quite as well for Trump as he was expecting, I think.

Uhh, the Supreme Court wasn’t packed. The Dems want to idiotically to add more Justices to the bench which makes no sense, as for working out for Trump, that’s not their job and never was, but they have been doing what they’re supposed to do and that is uphold the constitution and they’re doing a damn good job at it.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

—Not one bit presidential.

If that were true, his numbers wouldn’t be where they’re at,

There are a lot of Americans, including you, who don’t want a president to be presidential. Once the cult has found its leader, the leader can do no wrong.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Enjoy the tiny victories. 0 for 6 on ballot removal though.

no one changing their vote cause some judges said Democrat nuisance Eric Fang Fang can proceed with a lawsuit against Trump.

68-9 in primary and +2 average in the general election. All that matters.

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

As far as the article, something can proceed. So what?

Your boo lost. AGAIN. That’s what.

He’s not immune from civil prosecution. He’s not immune from criminal prosecution.

He’s going to face the reckoning for his attempt to overthrow the government.

Thats what.

Trump would have a hard time getting anyone to represent him on a no-win no-fee basis.

Whiff.

Nothing but meaningless MAGA word salad.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

you also have to mention the police officers?

the CNN contributor ones that the videos showed lied and others that were injured by their own colleagues firing gas and pepper spray on the protesters, unprovoked?

discovery will be fun on that if we ever make it trial.

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

68-9 in primary and +2 average in the general election. All that matters.

Our man win. Our man big and strong. Me not think about justice.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

scared?

Yeah. I'm not a fan of fascists, so the thought of an idiot thug like Donald suspending the constitution is a bit alarming.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

suspending the constitution

odd way to describe “winning the election”.

scared. Why won’t someone just put him in jail for something!!!!!! Don’t let him speak! Reeeeeee

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

There are a lot of Americans, including you, who don’t want a president to be presidential.

No, there are a lot of us and that number is growing m, we don’t want a career politician. Look at what we have now, that is exactly what the nation doesn’t need and the numbers of discontent is showing that.

Once the cult has found its leader, the leader can do no wrong.

Well, the Democrats are always in lockstep with each other so….

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

odd way to describe “winning the election”.

Because I'm not talking about him "winning." I'm talking about him wanting to suspend the constitution. And his supporters want to let him in to do so. Own it.

A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” he wrote. “Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”

Just to be clear, these are the two mentioned in the article?

Says it right there:

A Massive Fraud of this type

very specific and quite conditional. Not the baseless accusation for no reason you claiming.

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

bass4funkToday  09:12 am JST

Well, the Democrats are always in lockstep with each other so….

Members of political parties are kind of supposed to agree with each other about what their policies are. A point that seems to be lost on the Republicans at the moment.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

suspending the constitution

odd way to describe “winning the election”.

Let's use the most accurate description - the one used by the author of the fake electors scheme...

John Eastman: "It's a violation of federal statute"....

https://time.com/6188491/john-eastman-jan-6-testimony-trump/

scared. Why won’t someone just put him in jail for something!!!!!! Don’t let him speak! Reeeeeee

Ahh, I see you're quoting Comer refusing to let Hunter testify in public...

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Readers, please stop the bickering. Too many of you are obsessed with U.S. political stories. Please make your point and then move on to other stories.

very specific and quite conditional. Not the baseless accusation for no reason you claiming.

Lol yes. He's quite clear that the constitution should be suspended because he lost. Am I to believe that if given power again he won't again abuse his position? Am I to believe he'd respect the constitution then? Explain why.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Members of political parties are kind of supposed to agree with each other about what their policies are.

Right or wrong? Democrat have a history of doing that.

A point that seems to be lost on the Republicans at the moment.

Yes, because they’re not part of the collective hive.

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

68-9 in primary and +2 average in the general election. All that matters.

Actually all that matters is that he is not above the law and that he is going to face justice for his attempt to overthrow the government.

Lets see how many of the non-cult decide a felony conviction is a disqualifying factor?

10 ( +10 / -0 )

As if being an already convicted sex-offender weren’t enough.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Not less either.

Yes, less

That means you are obsessed.

No more than the haters complain about the guy.

I asked you first.

Out of everything you have asked me, that is one question you really should think deeply and ask yourself.

It's less pitiful than brown-nosing all the time.

No one is brown-nosing that is not what admiration is, the left didn’t think so about Obama, but if the admiration for him is considered brown-nosing, so be it.

I don't need to.

Then no need to say it.

Experience matters. Nobody wants a non-career doctor, airline pilot, or surgeon. Not sure why anyone would expect any less of their legislators and other public servants. Stop the war on expertises, lol.

That old weasel is going to die of old age long before they find anything that sticks.

That old weasel is going to die of old age long before they find anything that sticks.

Given that he is going to be convicted before the election in a minimum of 1, maybe 2 cases, I doubt it.

We should be so lucky.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

That old weasel is going to die of old age long before they find anything that sticks.

I would tweek that slightly: he'll pull a final scam and sicken before the door of any dump of a jail cell opens to receive him. And before Trump is through, Americans will have been thoroughly schooled by this absurdly criminal scofflaw in how the justice system works for people with money and political power and doesn't for those who don't. After years of this tiresome circus the world can clearly see it's the best money can buy.

Indeed not, but they're highly trained and qualified to do what they do. To get elected you just need to know the right way to get a message across to enough people. It's not necessary to be really successful or accomplished at anything. Therefore I can see the appeal of someone like Donald Trump, who makes out as if he's the greatest businessman that ever lived when in fact there are plenty who are a lot richer and more successful, and aren't in court all the time.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Breaking: Chutkin denied his motion to dismiss as well.

So. Much. Losing.

The Jan 6 committee deposition tapes were destroyed. just as Trump said they would be

No, they were not and this is yet another off-topic deflection because you’ve got nothing on this topic. I

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Judge Gregory Katsas, a Trump appointee, concurred with the opinion. That means that Katsas is a deep-state Trump-hating Marxist RINO. There is no other explanation.

No one is brown-nosing that is not what admiration is

I don’t buy that for a second. Anyone who turns against Trump is branded an apostate. Unless they take a pilgrimage to Mar a Largo and beg forgiveness. Obama never demanded nor got this kind of “admiration”.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Basically Trump is claiming that there cannot be a trial for his personal acts of election interference in the 2020 election because it would interfere with his chances in the 2024 election. Meanwhile he believes his words that incited an insurrection are protected by his first amendment rights but wants the government to "come down hard" on MSNBC and others because they've said "mean things" about him. You cannot make this stuff up.

I am absolutely floored as to how a single American can possibly still support this traitor.

So they want to wait until 2029 on the ASSUMPTION that he's going to be elected. No assumptions! Get this trial started and finished.
