What happened to 3 Latin American Countries trying to invite Snowden? They are refused to borrow travel money from Russia to their country? Or they could not get permissions to have stop over airport in all countries? Snowden will be comfortable now but pretty soon cold Russian Autumn will come. Freezing easily. Well there will be no taco or tequila there. These three Latin countries will be ostracized from US aids now. Snowden may not think about freezing Russia very soon.

Ahhh, no tacos &tequila but there is plenty of blini and vodka. To each his own taste...

Perhaps you guys are expecting too much, hackers are usually geeks perpetually behind their screens, they party less than Rudolf Hess in his later years.

I enjoy my vodka just fine, but there isn't enough gold in the world to entice me to visit Russia again, let alone live there. No thank you.

I wouldn't want to live there again either BUT it doesn't appear Snowden has our choices. In which case the vodka wouldn't be much different than the tequlia...

Polish vodka is at least as good, with the added bonus that this fine beverage may be sampled without living in Putin's kingdom.

Vodka is not popular in USA. Wine to celebrate temporary freedom? He may miss diet coke or diet pepsi more tham beer or any alcoholic drink. However, he will learn how to eat terrible cuisine of Russia.

Vodka is a staple of US drinking, just like whiskey, rum, tequila and gin. I barely drink at all, but there is vodka, rum and beer in my home - always. I don't like gin and we're out of tequila.

I hope Snowden enjoys a long and successful life and look forward to any new leaks about the US government performing illegal activities around the world. Perhaps this will be enough to get the US "security" agencies to stop?

Vodka sales is very low (lower than sake) in USA. Russsia is large. If he is lucky, northenr area near sea to eat seafood/ However, cold cabbage soup based with sourmilk usually. Their hot soup in southern area is worse than tofu miso soup. No Chinese food, no teppan yaki , no teriyaki Snowden used to see in his American area. Ib=nstead of Vodka, he will buy /////cabbage to make soup. Also, russia used to make laboros out of refugees. Many escaped to Northern China walking deep snow field.

Russia has McDonald's, KFC, Subway, Burger King etc. The only difference is that the quality of food is generally better (the cost for fresh produce is cheaper).

BK sells beer. http://burgerking.ru/ru/ru/index.html

I'm not sure why this is related, but, in the United States, vodka sales is reported to be around 62 million cases making up approx. 35% of the spirits market by volume. While lower than Russia, that is not low.

Anyway, I highly doubt vodka or other spirits came into play when Snowden was thinking about ayslum in Russia.

First food? Snowden was not poor. I don;t think he was used to first food. More likely restaurant food he was used to when he was working.

Seems like an appropriate place for Snowden to end up. He'll be used as Putin's puppet to shield Russia against claims of human rights abuses. That is his new purpose and he's accepted that.

" Seems like an appropriate place for Snowden to end up."

Better than the cage/cell he would already be in and getting the Manning torture treatment if he were in USSA.

You have no any clue what "cousine of Russia" is. Please, do not show your ignorance anymore.

Not "northern area", but Russian Far East has tons of various seafood. Further, every significant Russian city has plenty of restaurants or caffees that provide dishes of Russian, Chinese, Caucasian (Georgian, Armenian, Azerbaijan) or Asian (Uzbek, Tajic, Kazakh) cousine. No problem at all, just walk and choose according to your personal taste. There are hundreds of various dishes by comparison to your "miso soup" , teppun yaki and other huyaki-muyaki.

Also, russia used to make laboros out of refugees. Many escaped to Northern China walking deep snow field.

ROTFL. There are no any "snow fields" between Russia and Northern China. Just some mountains, Amur and Ussuri rivers. Each side has a heavily enforced Border Troops. They control every yard of State Border Lines. If you move through out the State Border. you will be immediately detected and caught. If you try to fight back, using by firearm, you will be killed at a place.

Please, read some literature about culture and geography of Russian Federation instead of your comic books.
