Little Rock's crime problem appears to be intensifying,

Understating the issue a bit here?

The folks who wrote the constitution sadly could have never imagined the pain and misery they would be inflicting on their descendants when they wrote that little clause about "right to bear arms"

Hindsight is 20/20, but I wish I could go back and let them know that because of that "right" millions of people are going to go through hell because of it. If they knew how stupid some folks could be regarding the "right" I highly doubt they would have included it into the law.

Also it's funny how people will comment about "guns rights" the "constitution" and what not, then go and complain about the folks here who "reinterpret" the constitution regarding security issues. Rather hypocritical.

This is what happens when a bad guy opens fire in a club where other patrons are also packing guns. Instead of a mass shooting, you get a multiple shooting.

How 28 people could be shot and others trampled by a crowd without anyone being killed is a modern miracle.

Yubaru - in the 1700s and 1800s, the right to bare arms was completely necessary to Americans.

Today, there are fewer people who "need" firearms, but taking away something that has become part of the culture and families for generations is very difficult. Hunting is a family activity. So is target shooting. Family activities.

People who harm anyone else with a firearm or otherwise violate the laws around firearms need to be locked up, as the current laws require. There isn't any argument about that, at least not from me.

If there were innocent bystanders, I hope they recover. Thanks once again to the emergency responders for the work they do day in and out.

Sorry taxpayers that once again you're stuck paying for yet another gun related mess. Your emergency responders, hospitals and courts will have to deal with this instead of other issues.

I'm sure the guns-uber-alles crowd can justify this saying many of those involved were part of armed militias (gangs? militias? Is there a difference?) and they were just exercising their rights.

Instead of a mass shooting, you get a multiple shooting.

Exactly.

And once again as a result of this mess, the gun industry will see an increase in the sales of guns and ammo. Those same people buying more guns and ammo will add to their private arsenals, adding more guns and ammo to a country that's breaking apart for many reasons, including the amount of weapons people own. More guns and ammo means more that can be stolen and used again and again.

Tax the handgun business out of business! Make the gun-bangers pay for all gun crimes committed! Stop subsidizing those who use handguns! (Except the police)

Did you actually read what I wrote? I stand by the statement that they wouldnt have put it in there if they knew what would be happening now.

The NRA begs to differ:

Obviously the problem was not enough guns.

I'm working on the solution though, a gun that shoots guns that shoot guns. A gun-in-gun-in-gun. Buy one and you'll be a good guy with three guns, easily able to beat any bad guy with one or two guns.

Sorry, Yubaru, but that just wasn't a well thought out statement. If the people who were responsible for writing and approving the constitution had stopped to consider every eventuality, nothing would have gotten done.

Allow me to make a similar statement and then tell me it isn't nonsense as well: "If they knew what was happening now, they would have required that everyone be armed."

I take it you are a gun advocate and will obfuscate the issue enough to justify your point.

Of course they couldn't have, anyone knows that, hence the rhetorical statement.

But that wont satisfy someone who wants their toys. American's love to kill each and maim each other, of that there should be no argument.

How about a law that everyone from has to own a weapon for their personal safety....asinine, but that is the only "law" that will satisfy the NRA and gun advocates.

America has much going for it, but too many people now a days sit behind the argument that "their" rights are guaranteed and they are entitled to own and use weapons.

I think the people who are getting shot and killed have a "right" to live too! But you and other gun advocates don't agree with that.

Did no one read this second-to-last sentence: Arkansas lawmakers earlier this year approved a measure expanding where concealed handguns can be carried, including bars if allowed by owners...

Looks like Arkansas lawmakers encouraged the possibility of it happening. People + guns + booze = stupidity.

Juss' 'nother day in 'merika.

"Some sort of dispute broke out between people inside,"

And of those people, obviously at least one had a gun, and this is what happens when your average Joe can carry weapons like guns, or at least has easy access to them. The gun nutters would argue the exact same thing would have happened if they had water noodles instead of guns, but I think even they don't believe themselves anymore. Isn't this three days in a row now with mass shootings?

The gun nutters only care about themselves and their "rights", they dont give a crap about anyone else, plus the biggest groups of gun nutters, the NRA, is racist through and through. They only care about white folks.

It was a rap concert, so they likely held their guns side grip.
