@SadiqKhan Khaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnn!!! Congratulations Mr. Mayor! Bill 7:41 AM - 8 May 2016

That did not take him long. Hardly elected, Khan immediately jumps in with islamopologist statements, showing where his priorities are. No surprise there.

Khan immediately jumps in with islamopologist statements, showing where his priorities are.

I see no 'islamopologist statements'. What I do see is Trump immediately jumping in making comments about the man's religion (following on his earlier suggestion of a 'complete and total ban') showing clearly his I'll say whatever comes into my head at the time, and if there's nothing there I'll say something anyway stance. Khan is dead right - Trump is ignorant (not only in his view of Islam) and could well make the world a more dangerous place for everyone, if enough Americans are brain-dead enough to give him the Presidency in November.

5 ( +17 / -12 )

Great for London. Showing that fear can be overcome. A good and honorable man is now mayor of all the people.

4 ( +12 / -8 )

Glad khan mentioned before too late, In Asia, Myanmar Moslems were persecuted by self claimed Buddhism militant military gov't so they became boat people and went to Japan. Likewise, Moslem people often move to places where people do not behave like Trump followers.

LONDON — London Mayor Sadiq Khan on Tuesday slammed Donald Trump’s “ignorant” view of Islam, after the Republican presidential contender suggested Khan could be exempted from a proposed temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States.

Revealing Trump's ignorance is the greatest accomplishment of his 'Make America Hate' campaign so far.

Donald J. Trump, business genius and gameshow host, has welded his political coffin shut with the ghouls of prejudice.

Just after Halloween, Trump will find his Dorian Gray rising from the grave of history.

Presidential? Only of the locall chapter of the KKK.

0 ( +10 / -10 )

@kcjapan, sounds like you have some issues as well.

4 ( +10 / -6 )

All the hateful slander I read daily with no proof or facts meaning zero credibility comments from post origin.

-7 ( +6 / -13 )

The US isn't going to ban Muslims. It's just Republicans talking to each other.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

A good and honorable man is now mayor of all the people.

Let's not rush to judgement. He's been on the job a couple of days. Let's revisit the situation, say in 36 months?

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Presidential? Only of the locall chapter of the KKK.

I think the time has passed when one can through out the "KKK" and make Americans cower for the fear of being labeled a racist. We have proven time and time again that the color or background of a person doesn't matter, that if they have the right message people will vote for them regardless. Obama has won two terms as President. First by large margins and second term, large but not as large as the first. That means that of the voting public at least almost half didn't vote for him (2012: Obama 51.1%, Romney 47.2%) . That would make Romney's popular vote somewhere around 60 million. Even at the height of the rise of the modern KKK back in the 1920's, they had nowhere near that amount of people (about 6 million back in the 1920's, and probably around 8,000 members today).

So the USA is not a land full of burning crosses and lynchings. Just because one doesn't agree with the rampant influx of people who based on their religious beliefs want to subjugate the world and wants to at least look at and vet those who come into a country doesn't make them racist. It makes them cautious.

I find it interesting that some posters here on JT who may be of Japanese heritage, like to bad mouth the USA on race relations. Yet, tell me the last time a native Ainu, or ethnic Korean, or Okinawan was elected to the position of Prime Minister, or mayor of Tokyo. Or when was the last time that any immigrant to Japan has managed to go through the system legally and get elected to the Diet and move into a high position? Standing by to be shown how tolerant Japan is compared to Trump.

-5 ( +5 / -10 )

How can ones political ideology define ones opinions on groups of people? I'd doesn't, they are two distinctly different viewpoints.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

All the hateful slander I read daily with no proof or facts

No proof:

Last year Trump proposed “a total and complete” ban on foreign Muslims entering the U.S.

when Khan, by saying

“this isn’t just about me — it’s about my friends, my family and everyone who comes from a background similar to mine, anywhere in the world.”

is branded as so-called

islamopologist

we're reminded of "Judenknecht" (lit. "servant of the Jews"), used pejoratively for (gentile) individuals, groups or states opposing Nazi Germany.

Trump told The New York Times that “there will always be exceptions.”

Like Apartheid's honorary whites?

4 ( +9 / -5 )

What exactly will Trump and his supporters do about Muslim Americans?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Khan is just another joining a conga-line of individuals from different expressing disappointment, distaste or disgust, or all three, about Trump's utterences and expressed views. And the dance has another 6 months to go.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

“Donald Trump’s ignorant view of Islam could make both our countries less safe — it risks alienating mainstream >>Muslims around the world and plays into the hands of the extremists,” Khan said in a statement

Very well said.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Alpha Ape

You make some interesting points. Personally I do not think Trump is fit to be President but wanting to curb ILLEGAL immigration is not racist. I am glad that he has brought this issue into the debate as no other candidate seems willing to deal with this issue.

I was out to dinner with some Japanese friends of mine. They were mocking the idea of building a wall on the southern border. I asked the following question?

How would you (asked to Japanese) like it if 100's or 1,000's of people from China (or any other country) were illegally entering the country every day and your government was not returning them to where they came from? Also what would you think if your government spent your tax money to actually publish documents in Chinese (or insert other language) instructing these people how to obtain social/welfare benefits.

Additionally I indicated that as a foreign national I would never think about illegally entering another country and if I did so and I was caught I would expect to be deported and banned from re-entry for a long time. I also indicated that I would never enter Japan and expect social benefits/welfare, etc. which is paid for by their tax money.

At the end of the conversation they seemed to see my point.

Immigration made the United States a great country, however in order to sustain itself the U.S. needs to be able to control the amount of people entering the country. There is not an infinite amount of money/resources to support an indefinite influx of people. Overloading a sinking ship will make everyone drown.

I do not blame the immigrants for trying to make their life better. I blame the system that exploits them (and at the same time U.S. citizens). The U.S. is to blame for allowing this to occur, continuing the so-called "anchor baby" policy, and not strictly enforcing immigration laws (yes these are laws - as are paying taxes).

Finally regarding the Muslim issue, Trump made an over-generalization. Perhaps a more diplomatic statement indicating we need to re-think resettling Muslim refugees to the U.S. until we figure out how to vet the refugees would have worked better. The Obama appointed Director of Homeland Security (Jeh Johnson) actually admitted the U.S. presently has no effective way to do this. The religion of Islam has an internal problem that they need to address.

How soon people forget that in 2009 "Khan was branded unfit to be London Mayor after it emerged that he had described moderate Muslim groups as 'Uncle Toms'". People also conveniently overlook the fact that it is illegal to bring a bible into certain Islamic nations (such as Saudi Arabia) and the penalty for proselytizing or converting citizens to Christianity (or another religion) is death.

However it seems the western media only wishes to portray Christians as being wrong or evil.

These are interesting times we live in.

1 ( +9 / -8 )

The world only has contempt for Trump. And yet so many Americans think he would make a good president.

The American voting public - stupid as always.

1 ( +8 / -7 )

@Strangerland - Instead of calling people names, etc. would it not be more constructive to indicate why he would not be a good President? (I agree with you by the way).

0 ( +5 / -5 )

That did not take him long. Hardly elected, Khan immediately jumps in with islamopologist statements, showing where his priorities are. No surprise there.

Yes, the contrast with Trump, who has been exercising a notable level of self restraint in avoiding making any public statements that some might find controversial whatsoever until after he is elected, is truly shocking. If only more politicians followed Trump`s dignified lead.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

@Strangerland - Instead of calling people names

I didn't call anyone names - I was pointing out an observance about the group. Remember, these are the people who voted for Bush jr. - twice.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

A moniker has now been created: Donald the Ignorant The First.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Strangerland:

" Remember, these are the people who voted for Bush jr. - twice. "

There are also people who voted for Obama.... twice,. Pot - kettle - black

-13 ( +4 / -17 )

@ Strangerland - And Obama twice as well. Frankly neither political party has put up a decent candidate in years.

-8 ( +6 / -14 )

@Tokyo-Engr just dropped the mic, no more comments needed!!!!!!!!

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

There are also people who voted for Obama.... twice

Touche. They aren't always stupid, sometimes they do the right thing.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

How soon people forget that in 2009 "Khan was branded unfit to be London Mayor after it emerged that he had described moderate Muslim groups as 'Uncle Toms'" - post

Uncle Toms was used in the context of UK govt. not needing to preach to the (moderate Muslim) choir, but needing to go beyond these groups in its Muslim outreach, to those who might use the term as a pejorative for their coreligionists.

By his own definition Khan, as a government minister at the time, was a premier league Uncle Tom.

http://order-order.com/2016/05/03/khan-called-moderate-muslims-uncle-toms-on-iranian-state-tv/

0 ( +3 / -3 )

@Haiyai - Not sure what mic I dropped - is it because I like neither Obama nor Bush? If dropping the mic means it has been revealed I think the status-quo of both political parties in the United States has put the U.S. in a very bad state then you got me! I am outed.

As originally stated, I do not think Trump is the answer, however he has brought up points that for some reason the rest of the "elite politicans" wish to avoid. A porous and open border is good for no one except the 1%/elite.

Regardless it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

If not liking Obama's politics negates someone's point of view then we are truly in a sad state of affairs.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Mohammed Ali won't be fighting in Kinshasa again anytime soon it seems, he won't be able to get back in the country

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Donald Trump’s ignorant view of Islam could make both our countries less safe — it risks alienating mainstream Muslims around the world and plays into the hands of the extremists,” Khan said in a statement Yea tell that to Paris. It's already not safe. Just curious but let's say I'm the most hated person on earth and lived in a house with no doors that anyone could come into. Do you think I would be safe forever or should I get doors that I open once in awhile. There's still a chance I'll be attacked but the chances are much lower

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Alienating people even further does not help the situation whatsoever. Such a person would be better to fortify their house and at the same time try to fix their actions that have alienated everyone.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

And Obama twice as well. Frankly neither political party has put up a decent candidate in years.

Can't believe some have George W and Obama in the same league. Do you guys not see that GW was an intellectually limited lightweight in comparison to Obama? Or do you just think one doesn't have to be 'that' smart to be at the White House?

Re Trump's comment about Islam, I think Trump himself regrets it and realised he had not only gone too far but also made one of the stupidest comment ever in US politics (strong competition there). You get the impression he siad 'Muslims' the same way he would have said 'guys with a beard' or 'swarthy looking blokes". It was offensive and plain stupid. Thing is GOP primaries were all about being the loudest and when you know that you are talking to folks who voted for GW Bush twice and don't see anything wrong with that you know you have to come up with quality drivel to get their attention. Its what Trump did. Reckon he would not have said to a different audience. No doubt there are many very decent and smart republicans but you also have a few rednecks you need to talk to during your campaign. That's what he did.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Goldorak:

" Can't believe some have George W and Obama in the same league. Do you guys not see that GW was an intellectually limited lightweight in comparison to Obama? Or do you just think one doesn't have to be 'that' smart to be at the White House? "

Nope, I certainly don´t see that. If you look outside the sycophantic media bubble, there is more than enough doubt about the current community organizer in chief, who incidentally made the same ME blunders as GWB and then some.

" Re Trump's comment about Islam, I think Trump himself regrets it and realised he had not only gone too far but also made one of the stupidest comment ever in US politics (strong competition there). "

He phrased it clumsily, but it is refreshing so someone actually addressing a real issue. Of course he was referring to un-controlled mass immigration, German style. The media apologist chorus that radical islamism has nothing to do with islam is stupid and insulting anyone with a brain --- including the moderate muslims that we should listen to. (Aka Al Sisi, Majid Navaz etc.)

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

What exactly will Trump and his supporters do about Muslim Americans?

Nothing. The ones he was talking about were non US citizens who wanted to come into the country. Believe it or not, they don't have the "right" to enter into the US. The US, just like any other country has the inherent right to refuse service to those it deems as a threat.

Now if he were talking about rounding up Muslim Americans who are here legally or US citizens, then he would be out of bounds.

But just because someone from an area like Pakistan wants to come to America, that doesn't make them a "Muslim-American."

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Nothing. The ones he was talking about were non US citizens who wanted to come into the country.

Exactly, but the problem is, the Left wants people to believe that Trump is a racist and wants EVERY banned from the country. He's never said or indicated as such.

Believe it or not, they don't have the "right" to enter into the US. The US, just like any other country has the inherent right to refuse service to those it deems as a threat.

BINGO!

Now if he were talking about rounding up Muslim Americans who are here legally or US citizens, then he would be out of bounds.

If Trump were to say, we need to put Muslims in camps or ALL Muslims are terrorists, then you have a perfectly legitimate argument to make and to call Trump out on it, but the man has never made such a claim compared to Obama, Holder and Sharpton who have made repeatedly racist statements.

Fair enough. You are not the first one to tell me this and imo it shows the void between old Europe and "the new world" (I mean new anglo world I,e usa, canada, oz etc). The 2 sides just have very different expectations from their politicians: old Europe wants their politicians to be knowledgeable and worldly, they have to 'know things'. Americans or aussies for example want someone who's pragmatic but not necessarily knowledgeable or smart. Perso I see a void between George W and Obama who is a typical euro politician: very smart and knowledgeable but not pragmatic enough for americans. Been in oz for over 15 years and most our politicians on both sides are in the us mould: they imo have big gaps and are not cultured when compared to euro leaders yet they are doers, something aussies ( and americans) like.

Perso I want and need someone of substance to lead the country I live in and yes, ideally, also a doer.

Trump attracts racists. We can argue whether he himself is one or is just throwing out statements to play on nastier instincts. The idea this is pure coincidence is a bit of a stretch.

Does any Trump apologist have any idea why he attracts racists? Some people are attacking the stupidity of certain people who make up the US electorate but it isn't just in the US. The former leader of the National Front in France tweeted his admiration for Trump.

Anybody?

1 ( +3 / -2 )

England according to my business associates has just turned the corner. First it was accepting Pakistani and Indians from their former colonies and permitting them to intergrate socially and politically into British society. Now the next step is a take over of British society and the national dish will be curry and rice. Another imperial master subjugated by their colonial subjects. Long live the king. Lol.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

It has been for years, where the hell have you been? Only we have it with beeeeeeeer. And lots of it. Take that world conquering Muslims!

That's damned white of them.

Look, I know many Blacks and other minorities that love Trump, they aren't racists, maybe many disenfranchised Whites feel that Trump is speaking for them as well as the disinfranchised Blacks felt Obama was speaking for them. You can't paint everyone with a broad brush.

I'm not buying that. Personally, I think it's long overdo. I wonder how long it will be before we see a PM that isn't White.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

@Bass

So, getting back to the question, why does Trump attract racists in the US and abroad? "The usual "what about?" doesn't answer this question.

Also, can you please quote some racist statements from Obama or point out his racist policies?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Let's just take a moment to appreciate the beauty in this board. For years now people have been trying to put a legitimate face on anti-Islamic rhetoric and on the Trump movement. So when one guy responds to Trump's call to ban all Muslims with the claim that this shows he doesn't really get Muslims, the first post on the page is:

WilliBMAY. 11, 2016 - 07:33AM JST That did not take him long. Hardly elected, Khan immediately jumps in with islamopologist statements, showing where his priorities are. No surprise there.

"Not all Muslims are dangerous," has been classified as an "islamopologist statement".

Stay classy, haters.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

"Not all Muslims are dangerous," has been classified as an "islamopologist statement".

Heh, wait until it starts screaming about the Hadiths. Deep seated, obsessional, irrational hatred of over a billion people....

Good old Trump. He's really pushed the buttons of dimwits, although I'm starting to realize he doesn't believe a word of it. I'm sure that's a good thing, maybe...

strangerland, i know you are going to vote me off the island for saying this, and i've said it before here at JT, i have been a Trump fan since day one, and i am voting for him. why? he is a breath of fresh air in america and in washington. no more business as usual. the bushes, carter, ford, clinton, obama, all the same. business as usual. trump spells triumph of the american spirit. i am willing and eager even to give it a try for eight years.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

I feel sympathy for Trump and if he become the president of the America then I have to feel sympathy for the Americans. And yes Mr. Trump would you like to ban the Americans from entering to the Islamic world.------oil---- weapons selling---- occupations-----

strangerland, i know you are going to vote me off the island for saying this

Why would I? I rarely down-vote anything. And I'm not even sure why you are addressing me with this comment.

and i've said it before here at JT, i have been a Trump fan since day one, and i am voting for him. why? he is a breath of fresh air in america and in washington. no more business as usual.

Yeah, who would want to go on with the usual business of having a stable economy? What a ridiculous concept.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

My solution would be cutting back on all immigration with an enhanced vetting operation which would essentially end up as a de facto ban.

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory/latest-trump-hefty-delegate-haul-39032448

Donald Trump says he may set up a commission to study his immigration policies and his proposed ban on foreign Muslims entering the U.S. The man he may ask to lead the commission is the former New York mayor, Rudy Giuliani, who's called Trump's idea of a Muslim ban unconstitutional.

Trump floated the idea of a commission Wednesday on Fox News and addressed it only briefly, not saying if this would happen if he wins the White House or during his Republican presidential campaign.

Trump's call to deny entry to Muslims from abroad until America's security has been assured is a centerpiece of his campaign. So are his proposals to deport all people who are in the country illegally.

He says a commission would examine all those issues, as well as the question of letting in Syrian refugees, and it would be "possibly headed" by Giuliani, the mayor when New York was attacked on 9/11.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Ignorant view of Islam? Or ignorant view of Muslims? Believe it or not there is a difference, and "phrasing" (Archer reference) should be taken into consideration here.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"I do not blame the immigrants for trying to make their life better. I blame the system that exploits them (and at the same time U.S. citizens)."

"However it seems the western media only wishes to portray Christians as being wrong or evil." - comments

A complicated path that ends with, bringing justice and answerability to immigration policy and enforcement PLUS inspection and answerability from American Employers using non-resident employees.

And a tangent concern about 'Christians portrayed as evil in Western Media.'

On the first point, who is stopping Americans from this right minded plan?

"Bringing justice and answerability to immigration policy and enforcement?"

OR: "Inspection and answerability from American Employers using non-resident employees?"

Who is opposed to this?

The second point? No one has reported this, obviously requires closer study.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

One only has to put the words 'migrant, Allahu Akbar with Germany/Sweden/London etc' into any search engine and the result is what?

Hint:it's not pretty

Does Sadiq Khan not understand that atrocities are being committed by Islamic migrants in the name of Allah?

What is inextricably linked is violence and Islam!

If we take a look in the Koran on ways to treat the infidel, we see that non Muslims can be raped, injured and murdered!

And it's all fine!

Muslims call for Sharia Law which is extremely barbaric in a most medieval way.

How unpalatable the truth is, it is still the truth

Trump will be president of the US and good luck to him.......

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Good old Trump. He's really pushed the buttons of dimwits, although I'm starting to realize he doesn't believe a word of it. I'm sure that's a good thing, maybe...

Isn't it amazing that according to those who think that Trump supporters are all dimwits, and the fact that so far he has gained more votes that Romney did back in 2012 so far, even when the field was with 16 other candidates, that people by the millions still want to come to America illegally to live. I mean if it is a country with over 12 million dimwits who have so far voted for him, I would rather stay in another country that is more "enlightened" than come to America. I guess they figure those dimwits will willing give them public assistance since they are too dumb to realize it.

Same goes for the former president of Mexico, who said Trump supporters are nothing but TV watching, beer drinking idiots. Yet it's those idiots who through their taxes support the illegals from Mexico that enables them to send money back to Mexico making remittance payments the second highest source of income for the Mexican economy.

I am Black, belong to many Black and minority organizations, and fully support Trump. I don't think I am being racist.

Back to my original post on this topic, no one has yet to show to me when was the last time an Ainu, ethnic Korean or Chinese, or Okinawan been elected to mayor of Tokyo. The fact that this has happened to London, is a good thing, provided that the mayor understands that he is the mayor for all of London, not just his particular group. Yet I imagine the native Japanese on this board, who like to call Americans racists, will not be ready and eager to elect an ethnic minority to a high position in Japan. Heck, one could just look at the blowback that mixed race news anchors receive in Japan of not being "Japanese" enough to broadcast the news.

Get the plank out of your eye first Japan, before you go and worry about the splinter in mine.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Simple, don't EVER come to USA.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Isn't it amazing that according to those who think that Trump supporters are all dimwits, and the fact that so far he has gained more votes that Romney did back in 2012

Romney was a joke of a candidate, and he was the best of the rest that the GOP wheeled out. I'm not sure he is a good benchmark for Trump's numbers, his hostile takeover of the party only possible due to the new depths to which the Republican's have sunk after the catastrophic W.

If you choose not to be tarred with the trailor trash brush I understand, yet this angry, white minority are only motivated by Trump's outrageous comments. This is the wave he's riding. Blaming minorities for all the worlds ills and telling the people he'll make them great again. Us Europeans remember the last populist to use identical tactics, only he targeted the Jews.

People saying I support Trump because he's not the establishment are in my opinion even more dangerous than the dimwits. At this point in his flip-flops nobody knows what a Trump presidency would look like. And that is why I find it hard to respect anyone taking his candidature seriously. Sorry...

0 ( +1 / -1 )

The former leader of the National Front in France tweeted his admiration for Trump.

Maybe he saw one too-many terror attacks on his fellow Frenchmen and Parisians lately. Perhaps, he too, lost a loved one(s) or he's sick n' tired of so many Catholic Churches being transformed into mosques. Maybe he wants France (LoL) to be great again. It's not so "wrong" to feel like that.

maybe many disenfranchised Whites feel that Trump is speaking for them as well as the disinfranchised Blacks felt Obama was speaking for them. You can't paint everyone with a broad brush.

Bingo!

Good old Trump. He's really pushed the buttons of dimwits

You don't say! In CA recently, the dimwits were thrashing police cars, assaulting innocent motorists and trying to incite a riot. Yes folks, the anti-Trumpers' buttons have been pushed-in big time.

When Obama was on his roll, then again for the 2nd term, how many (R) voters / supporters incited riots and bashed-up police cars?? Stay classy anti-Trumpers.

Mayor Khan was not elected as a Prime Minister of England. He should stay out of international politics and focus on local matters in London. London has plenty of problems. That's what he was elected for.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Every tome a foreign person's criticizing Trump speech, Trump speech get more publicized. London is a very fine world city. But in USA, mayor and council members are not talk officially like Khan does. They let US association of municipal officials handle. So peaceful that I'd bet you guys never heard existence. No one criticize foreign political candidates.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Illegal immigrants in the US commit crimes at a lesser rate than the general populace. If you really want to make America safe, you should kick out everyone except the illegals. A total ban on everyone until you guys can figure out what the hell is going on.

That would depend on which stats you want to believe in when it comes to this particular issue. Coming from California and my brother being a cop and been on enough ride alongs to see with my own eyes, stats and the people that are arrested and a large portion of them are foreigners. I do think, strengthening our borders, closing them would bring a lot of he crime rate down.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/07/20/no-comment-nbc-covers-up-evidence-of-immigration-crime-wave/

But again on THIS issue, it all depends on what you want to believe. I believe my own eyes and police stats, personally.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

bass: That would depend on which stats you want to believe in when it comes to this particular issue. Coming from California and my brother being a cop

So let's see... You use your cop brother to toss aside any data about crime you don't like, your sister (miraculously!) works for Planned Parenthood so you have the inside scoop that allows you to toss out multiple investigations from multiple states, the uninsured rate has dropped under Obama but you personally have 4 friends who have no insurance because they can't afford it anymore, all climate change data is thrown out because you have a buddy who works as a weatherman in LA, Latinos have a 75% unfavorable rating of Trump but all of your Latino friends love him, Obamacare alone closed your business (before it was even enacted), your have a friend in the FBI so you can counter anything coming out about Clinton that you don't like, and you have 30 years experience writing about politics. And that's just off the top of my head.

It seems you have a tremendous list of friends and family who provide the perfect anecdote at the perfect time. May I ask at what point stats come into play?
