Sexual allegations against Dems. They are forced to retire. Pedophile allegations against GOP nominee to the Senate-Trump and RNC endorse!

the allegations against him "are not true,"

The $27,000 in taxpayer cash as hush money paid to a woman says differently. . . .

He was correct in choosing to quit. Hopefully the US is reaching a tipping point on sexual harassment. It's time for all elected officials who've been accused of sexual misconduct, especially those who’ve been accused by numerous victims, to resign their respective offices, to come clean, so the country might be able to usher in an era in which men granted power by the voting public can no longer abuse the powers they've been given.

Both Republican and Democratic Parties need to stop supporting men who’ve shown histories of sexual harassment.

Democracies need to be led by people who value democratic principles, not by those who want to exploit their powers for any form of personal gain. No more Maos.

My legacy can't be compromised or diminished in any way

During Conyers' time in office, the city of Detroit -- which he represented -- went from being a vibrant U.S. business center to decaying demilitarized zone.

Some legacy. . . .

At least he resigned. Conversely, Moore the pedo will be voted into the Senate by the modern day repub, such is their level

Good riddance.

Conyers was advised, not forced. One allegation came out that he stuck his hand under a woman’s skirt while in church. This guy was busy for an old man.

Pedophile allegations against GOP nominee to the Senate-Trump and RNC endorse!

Given the choices Alabama has, sadly yes.

touching a shoulder or asking if you want to come to a hotel is maybe OK. But using your influence, is blackmail and should be 1-3 years. touching or propositioning an under 18 man or women is 20 years.

He also endorsed his son, John Conyers III, to replace him in his congressional seat.

This guy has a pervert for a father and a convicted felon for a mother. Sounds like an ideal democratic candidate for the U.S. Congress. . . .

Japan has many oyaji who's into young girls, lol

At least Bill Cosby still kept denying all those women's claims (they all can't be wrong, can they?)

But muh legacy! What’s with these guys? Plus his son and his brother’s grandson both saying they want his seat.

i think it’s extremely racist and ageist that he was forced out and all the younger white guys were not. That’s what happens when you become expendable I guess.

During his tenure, Detroit was bankrupted.

Sexual allegations against Dems. They are forced to retire.

Someone forgot about the all out defense of Bill Clinton and the protection of the rapist-in-chief from impeachment. The same people on the Left telling Conyers - and now Franken- to quit were defending Hillary’s actions and slut shaming Bill’s accusers as recently as last year.

It is crystal clear that the Left has its eye on Trump.

I guess now that a non-Democrat is the ultimate target for the politicized sexual abuse charge there is a sudden epidany that sexual predation is a bad thing. Democrats should do themselves a favor and save their indignation for things that that they are not hilariously hypocritical about. No one is listening to your self serving puritanism.

Next you'll be telling us the sky is blue.

Of course we want to get rid of Trump. He's the most useless president ever.

Democrats should do themselves a favor and save their indignation for things that that they are not hilariously hypocritical about.

Heh, your team is the most hypocritical team ever. You need to read your statement back to yourself - you are being indignant, about something you are hilariously hypocritical about. After all, your team is supporting a kiddy fiddler.

President Donald Trump, who himself faced sexual misconduct accusations when he was a candidate, has endorsed Moore.

Dispicable. Even 40 years after the fact, one more Republican Senate seat is not worth associating oneself with a man accused of going after girls. But such is the legacy left by Bill Clinton where even rape could be politicized and defended. Dems living in glass houses should refrain from throwing stones - but Republicans should know better.

By the looks of the polls, Moore is likely going to win thanks to the hyper-politics of today. If Republicans cannot muster the will to seat him then promptly kick him out then they are hopeless. The governor is a Republican- this should be an easy call.

Not as long as he nominated conservative Supreme Court Justices.

you are being indignant, about something you are hilariously hypocritical about. After all, your team is supporting a kiddy fiddler.

That is a fact - and pretty sad. But you are making the case that Dems, and only Dems, can be unethical or even criminal while insisting that Republicans cannot. Sorry but it doesn’t work that way.

From a conservative perspective the Dems went to the wall for an accused rapist and serial sexual predator. Had they impeached Bill Clinton your point would be logical and well taken. However Republicans appeared to have learned from the Clinton precedent in matters of sexual abuse. For today’s Republicans this is only hypocritical if you believe in unalateral disarmament. Dems are insisting on the enforcement of a standard that they themselves had overturned. Of course Republicans are also being hypocritical, but they lost the battle over upholding sexual abuse standards.

These cases should be looked at individually. It is tiresome to always hear, "but Moore did...", or when reversed "but Franken did...."

Regardless of political affiliation these cases make me sick.

My parents brought me up never to do this crap and I taught my kids the same. It just amazes me this goes on.

It appears Conyers son is slated for his position.

Oh wow! Reading the morning news and after my comment above I just came across this from NBC about Conyers son...

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/john-conyers-iii-was-arrested-domestic-abuse-not-prosecuted-n827151

And as stated he is the one who is supposed to take Conyers Sr.'s seat

Trump's a diddler himself. So it's not that surprising.

"I am retiring today," Conyers, 88, told a Detroit radio station... He also endorsed his son, John Conyers III, to replace him in his congressional seat.

I thought America had a revolution to free itself of royalty and inherited titles. Now they've replace the Queen with the likes of Conyers and Clintons??

Bit like that GW Bush who used to occupy the White House. Well, apart from his mom.

Anyway, good riddance to another sexual predator.

The guys a hedge fund manager. That's all Detroit needs, another bankster. He also has a restraining order against him for suspected domestic violence, he said/she said.

The younger Mr. Conyers said that the couple began arguing around 3 a.m. the day after Valentine’s Day and that after a physical fight, the police arrested him on suspicion of domestic violence.

Meanwhile, Conyers great-nephew, Ian Conyers who's already a state senator in Michigan had said he plans to run for his job in a special House election.

Another Detroit legend, ex-Mayor Coleman Young has one of his family members wanting the seat as well.

I will be interesting to see who wins.

white's need not apply. Family members only.
