France signs weapons mega-deal with UAE as Macron tours Gulf:

Looks like France has to keep its lethargic economy going on via arms sales to rich oil nations, after being unceremoniously shortchanged by US-Australia.

Once an ASEAN member bought from Paris a submarine that cannot sink via covert deal.. (?)

“France’s support for the UAE and Saudi Arabia is even more objectional as their leaders have failed to improve their countries’ disastrous human rights records domestically, although their public relations efforts to present themselves as progressive and tolerant internationally is in full swing,” Human Rights Watch said in a statement ahead of Macron’s trip to the Gulf.

Those Middle East countries are thriving from these types of arms deals.

The UK recently authorized export of almost 2 billion dollars worth of weapons to Saudi Arabia. Citizens of France and the UK hypocritically criticize civilians' rights to bear arms yet they knowingly deal weapons, including bombs, that are used to kill civilians in places such as Yemen.

France, along with Germany and the United Kingdom, thinks the 2015 nuclear agreement — with minor tweaks — is the way forward with Iran, analysts say.

This is even more absurd. Banning their own citizens from having firearms yet promoting a deal in which Iran could end up developing nuclear weapons to be used against Western nations; even allies of France, Germany, and the UK.

I so wish the US would sever diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and UAE. They are all every bit as bad as the Iranians. The lead photo is kind of funny. That sheikh isn't looking at Mr. Macron is he?

The UAE is buying 80 upgraded Rafale warplanes in a deal the French Defense Ministry said is worth 16 billion euros ($18 billion)

If it is anything like the sub deal the UAE will be paying over 32 Billion by the time they get them.

Buyer beware.
