Be afraid, very afraid!

This thing is very fishy, as always.

Curious. Are you saying you don't trust the Dubai Police?

The myths and demons the neo-conservatives have created are hunting us.

Nothing to worry about...it's only a small number of Muslims...it's not about Islam...blah, blah, blah...

Al-Qaida does recruit some naive Muslims, but its leadership is not Muslim.

Whenever the west needs to attack a country or needs to have its citizens fearful, they get their Al-Qaida to do something like this. Many have caught on, but not all, it seems.

Yemeni authorities hunted suspects linked to the group, but released a female computer engineering student arrested Saturday, saying someone else had posed as her in signing the ship-ping documents.

Hmmm, which group has a reputation of steeling IDs?

Interestingly enough, that very leadership is not aware that they are not Muslims. Perhaps you should inform them of your unique opinions.

A steel broker?

Nothing gives away Mohammedans as does the wealth of utterly absurd conspiracies cooked up in futility to try and explain away abominations like Al Qaeda, Arafat, genocide in Sudan, "honor" killings etc. Lee Harris was spot on with the book title The Suicide of Reason.

Dude, I hear where you're coming from. I know that people don't like the West and most of the developed countries who are getting somewhere in the world. People don't like that powerful countries, while not out and about colonizing, have undue influence on weaker states. So yeah, the US, CN, Europe, Russia, etc. can pull strings and get things done (i.e. have direct or indirect influence on the weaker states) I get that. I get that some people feel frustrated by that.

However, to pretend, sorry, to believe that some or lots of the buzz (activity) in terrorism is a fabrication, is simply a matter of faith --i.e. something not backed by facts. You believe or want to believe that there are states which have the wherewithal to set-up deep-cover organizations to conduct/create/instill fear, chaos, uncertainty at the master's beck and call in order to divert people's attention when needed. Sure --I'm sure there're people who actually believe this. You should look into studies on conspiracy theories. (Oh, wait, don't tell me, those are rigged too).

Taking bits and pieces of disparate information and tying them together (while ignoring disproving information) to suit pre-conceived conclusions does not amount to evidence. Nor is 'the inside information" your brethren peddle you to feel better. Some times people just don't want to believe --despite evidence to the contrary. It's something one sees with cults --oh, the world didn't end in such and such date predicted 400 years ago? Oh, well, you know, it just wan't the right time. You'll see, it really will.

In any event, your belief is an illusion. Or, at least, not supported by facts nor run-of-the-mill reasoning.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I am not a Muslim. I simply happened to have woken up to the deception. Check out Ryan Dawson's War by Deception if you want to see someone who is truly spot on!

Maybe you should wake up to realize that people are out there to sell books. Anyone with enough determination can get something published. I'd bet there has been someone who's published a book claiming that people descend from beings which emerged from volcanoes where DC-8s filled with people came from outer space were flown into volcanos and then blown to bits --and that there are actual people who believe it. (Pssst, don't tell scientologists it was a book written to get a broke writer out of the poor house.)

Let me just say it this way. Don't just seek out information with which you agree. Read all information; make up your own mind. You can't go reading someone who has such an obvious bias and then take their opinions as the truth. Sure, it suits your thinking --but that's about all it is. That's what is called a positive feedback loop in systems theory.

m5c32,

I agree with much of what you say, except that you seem to be assuming that your opinions are correct, that they are backed by facts; they certainly are not!

Maybe you should wake up to realize that people are out there to sell books.

Indeed, you have to buy the book Tim recommended. But you can view Ryan Dawson's work on line FOR FREE!

Let me just say it this way. Don't just seek out information with which you agree.

Well you certainly are showing an unwillingness to consider opinions that differ from yours.

Interestingly, you seem to be under that very same assumption.

work on line FOR FREE!

You get what you pay for.

Well you certainly are showing an unwillingness to consider opinions that differ from yours.

Mr. Black, I'd like you to meet Mr. Pot.

Conspiracy theorists aside, I wonder how soon these terrorists will try attaching bombs to the exteriors of planes?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Jason6, you've lost me. Plane? Passenger/cargo plane, or air force plane?

You mean like from bomb racks, or stuck to the side of a plane?

I can't think of anything more suspicious than a package from the Middle East addressed to a US synagogue. It practically screams 'check me!' Surely such lack of subtlety suggests the sender intended it to be discovered?

British Home Secretary Theresa May said the plotters would not have been able to control where the bombs detonated because cargo planes often change their routes at the last minute. She said it was unclear if the bomb found at East Midlands Airport would have exploded over Britain or the United States I think these extreme hard core Muslim terrorist would not worry if these planes exploded over the UK or the USA, just that they would explode, kill and terrify as many Americans and Brits, this is the definition of a terrorist, they want to scare the free world, but this means we need more drone missiles to go in nice and silently to get these guys wherever they may be, because idiot terrorist punks just need to get lucky ONCE, like when they all got too lucky on 9/11 and if we ever forget 9/11 we will be suffering again and again, so lets not forget and be vigilant, you see something really too strange, tell a cop, TSA etc...better to be safe than sorry right?

I agree with much of what you say, except that you seem to be assuming that your opinions are correct, that they are backed by facts; they certainly are not!

They have consensus. You might knock "mainstream" but there's a reason for some things being main stream. One they pass some basic fallacy checks, two, they have some degree of data/evidence to back it up. You are going with a guy who makes conjecture and for the most just has a very big bias. I mean, listen, if this guy had another 100-200 guys saying the same thing (independently --not just nodding with each other in agreement, people with gravitas) I'd give it some serious thought.

But look, it's not just the US, it's not just Europe, it's most countries (with two exceptions, maybe?) who pretty much agree about this stuff. I mean, you're very extreme long tail on this. If you know Occam's razor, you know you have some serious obstacles to overcome.

i simply dont believe this 'plot' at all.

i simply dont believe this 'plot' at all.

That's okay. You seem to be unaware that the Dubai Police and Yemen security are Muslim and are attempting to blame this on scaremongering about 'Muslims'. I think that is harder to believe.

And you seem to be unaware that Obama is facing mid-term elections. A cynical attempt to remind the 'American People' why they need to be fearful. Just like the equally well-timed European terror warning a while ago, in the wake to USA killing several Pakistani soldiers.

You American's are going to be at war for a generation or more. It's sad, really. I pity you.

And you seem to be unaware that Obama is facing mid-term elections.

No. I am merely aware that that has absolutely nothing to do with Dubai Police finding explosives on a plane from Yemen. I am also aware that the Dubai Police could not care any less about US mid-term elections. Sorry, I prefer believing the Dubai Police over you.

Canada is banning all direct air cargo flights from Yemen after last week's mail bomb plot, Transport Minister Chuck Strahl says.

I can't believe Canada is falling for this Obama trick. Of course Americans need a boogy man to fear just as they go to the polls to vote. Only a Democrat could be behind this trick!! Republicans would bring it to your doorstep but Obama is a wonderboy for coming up with this plot.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I can't believe Canada is falling for this Obama trick.

So all reason and evidence points to this being work of AlQaeda or affiliates -however, despite that, you choose to believe that you must be getting hoodwinked by a worldwide apparatus controlled by the US. Somehow, the US can orchestrate all of this, yet are quite unable to orchestrate simple things like rid the indian ocean of high seas pirates or get Japan to settle on a base or control the politics of Iraq, or get Greece to shape up or have Brazil resolve child custody disputes or I dunno, I'm sure I could peruse the news and find all kinds of things other nations are unwilling to cooperate with the US on --but nooooooo in this special case, the US can get its ducks in a row. The pull this one off flawlessly every single time --yeh. I mean, not for nothing, but probability theory says that while very improbable you just might get 100 "heads" in a completely fair and random coin toss. That must be it.

I mean, do you use your reason when you reach your conclusions --or does the scientific method suddenly abandon you?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

m5c32 chill out man. It's a joke. Have a drink and relax.

jason6, quote: I wonder how soon these terrorists will try attaching bombs to the exteriors of planes?

Ah, now I understand what you meant. (eg Qantas A380, Singapore?)
