Thank God there's a responsible adult in charge in America to deal with this plot. The last US president stayed on vacation and didn't bother to read the memo saying the bad guys were going to hijack planes.

I agree with you, kamonochoumei 100%!!! We do not need to be with our heads in the sand, pretending this terrorists will just give up, because they only need to get real lucky, just once, like on 9/11 to kill many, many innocent civilians. I also want to thank the gods that this mail bomb plot so far has been foiled.

"Emirati authorities, however, said flight 201 carried no 'suspicious' cargo from Yemen as claimed by US-Canadian military agency NORAD.

UAE officials rejected the claim and said the plane was not a source of threat.

"The Emirates plane that arrived today in the United States from Dubai did not contain any packages from Yemen," the official Emirati WAM news agency quoted an unnamed source with the country's civil aviation body as saying. "

"Britain banned the import of larger printer cartridges by air on Monday" ?

Sounds like a pretty dumb statement...

Kudo to the international intelligence to identify and stop the threat.

Kudo to the international intelligence to identify and stop the threat.

Yeah, they either prevented something terrible from happening, or they simply made the whole thing up! I wonder which of the two possibilities is the truth.

sabiwabi,

So, you do not believe the Dubai Authorities when they say they found explosives on the plane? Why would they make it up?

Printing cartridges. So now we can't ever carry those again.

Looks like their savior source will have to die now. Too many details released to the press. So sad.

goddog: we are going to have to put our cartridge in a vinyl bag during check-in from now on...

I would imagine we will also have to drink a bit from it in front of the security staff to show them it is safe.

The REAL reason for this whole ploy: The US military and administration are reportedly considering plans to expand the country's military role in Yemen, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The decision follows the seizure of allegedly suspicious packages aboard transit cargo flights in Dubai and London destined for the United States, the paper quoted unnamed US officials as saying on Sunday. See a pattern here....another "police action" coming down the pike?

The threat of plane bombing & hijacking is very real.

Libertas,

Aren't you the guy who tried to claim it was a DHL or UPS flight on which the Dubai authorities found the explosives? Remember me telling you it was FedEx? Your sources are obviously off the mark completely. Is it your stand that Dubai is in on some hoax? In fact, are you claiming the Yemen authorities are in on some hoax. They are also seriously investing this as they are now aware of the fact the explosives were sent from Yemen. You tried to claim Yemen denied it. Yet, here the Yemen police are arresting suspects.

Sorry, I prefer to believe the Dubai and Yemen authorities. The only pattern I see here is one of your continued errors in knowledge.

Libertas, Aren't you the guy who tried to claim it was a DHL or UPS flight on which the Dubai authorities found the explosives?

He's also the guy who claimed the Jews were behind the sinking of the Korean ship a few months ago. You have to give him credit, tho. He's able to unravel things the world cannot see all through his computer. He's special.

My position is that there have been so many conflicting statements that it is clear to me that many are lying. So many contradictions indicate that the most unbelievable story is the official one. UPS doesn't fly out of Yemen: fact. Your conclusions are the most off the mark. Just because arrests are made doesn't give any legitimacy to anyone. the USA proves that daily. Read a little wider, and you'll find that credible people both in Yemen and the UAE have categorically contradicted their governments' statements. We're being lied to. Again.

Libertas, I think you'll have to join Sabi on my ignore list. I know you have the deep desire to feel like you're a special human being with the ability to unravel every single major conspiracy that comes with every major news story with nothing more than a keyboard and internet connection, but it's grown tiresome. The fact is that you have a personality quirk that demands you not accept any story just so you can come here and let the world know how smart you are. You've somehow managed to find the "real story" behind just about every single major news event reported on JT since you arrived. I can buy someone taking the bait on one conspiracy theory, maybe even a few. But when you need conspiracy 100% of the time it's obviously a result of a mental condition that needs attention. Seek professional help and get on some medication.

LIBERTAS: The REAL reason for this whole ploy...

Muslims terrorists plant bombs every day, all over the world, under many different circumstances, against all types of people. It's not as if this is a unique event that warrants some conspiracy theory tantamount to the Kennedy assassination. It's just another day in the world of Islamic terrorism. How tedious it must become to perpetually conjure up complicated and convoluted explanations for something that's so simple.

So many contradictions indicate that the most unbelievable story is the official one.

During any investigation, as it progresses, new evidence is discovered and the case is re-assessed. Sure, there may be cover stories to throw off suspects, etc. or to keep sensitive info close to the vest. That's normal operating procedure. Most things are not the convoluted conspiracies most people who are ignorant of the facts would suggest. Look at past events for which decades later sealed documents are released --more often than not, the truth is disappointingly boring.

And, yeh, btw, now there will be drones in Yemen. A bit of quid pro quo.

Muslims terrorists plant bombs every day, all over the world, under many different circumstances, against all types of people.

In fact, Muslims are blamed for planting bombs every day, all over the world, under many different circumstances, against all types of people. On 9/11, a van packed with explosives and others testing positive for explosives were stopped by police, they were not Muslims, and we never seem to hear about them. I wonder why! But the shoe bomber and underwear bomber, and now the toner bomber, they made sure we all know about it.

My position is that there have been so many conflicting statements that it is clear to me that many are lying

It is my position that you have produced more conflicting statements than the authorities involved.

In fact, Muslims are blamed for planting bombs every day, all over the world, under many different circumstances, against all types of people.

This statement is untrue on so many levels. All types of people plant bombs and all types of people are blamed all over the world every day.

Also untrue is your claim that explosives were found in any van on 9/11. That is probably why we never hear anything about it. It never happened.

Anyway, there is no reason not to believe the Dubai and Yemen authorities who you seem to be forgetting are in fact Muslims for the most part, if not completely.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

thetruthhurts,

So, you do not believe the NYPD when they say they stopped a van packed with explosives, enough to cause a lot of damage? Why would they make it up?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sabiwabi,

The NYPD said they did not find any van packed with explosives. Yes, I believe the NYPD. I am having trouble believing what you have written.

Now, back to this article, are you still claiming the Dubai and Yemen authorities are making this up? There is no reason that I can see to claim they are. Yet, you seem to be doing that very thing.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

In fact, Muslims are blamed for planting bombs every day

Sorry, sabi, but Muslims are doing it no matter how many nonsensical conspiracy theories you come up with. Deal with it.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

thetruthhurts,

Sorry but you are incorrect. There are plenty of videos on the net showing press releases and news updates announcing it. Why would the NYPD make something like this up?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sabiwabi,

You seem to be unaware that after that, there are more statements of them retracting the previous incorrect ones less than eight minutes later. The NYPD's statements are that there were no explosives. I believe them over you. Just as I believe the Dubai and Yemen authorities over you. That is the thing about updates, to actually be updated, you have to watch the latest updates.
