And those fuzzy satellite images of possible pieces...mayor world powers like to brag about powerful spysats with hi-resolution onboard cameras which are able "to read car plates and headlines of newspapers from orbital positions". Where are they in reality?

Oh, no, no, no. Spysats would never show off their true capabilities - that would let their opponents know what they're truly capable of. They'll only share the minimum amount necessary.

South-West of Australia is about as far from civilization as you can get... the loneliest place on earth. What a bleak end to this flight. I hope at least the passengers were unconscious at that time.

Yep, been there as well and it is amazing, the vastness of that ocean, you are nothing but a pebble, it is just mind-blowing. If they would find anything, I can see that it would be a monumental task not to mention the stress and effort involved in all of it. It would be a sheer miracle if they can find ANY evidence, hopefully they will, but make no mistake the Indian Ocean is NO joke.

What evidence ? Nothing, except assumptions and weak attempts to save a face. They should equip all civil jets a kind of EPIRBs. Back in 1982 a rather small crashed jet was found in canadian wilderness due to distress signal of automated radio beacon. With the help of international SARSAT system pilot and passengers survived. First ever successful search and rescue operation, provided by satellite-based system. And after more than 30 years a huge jetliners still have no any sorts of reliable emergency satellite radio beacons onboard. This certainly isnt a good enough answer/explanation for those who have families on board. They must be hidin something.... However slim the chance is, i hope the passengers are still alive somewhere.:(
