How can the international community just stand by while the Malaysian regime cracks down on it's own people like this.

We need a UN resolution followed by massive bombardment.

Lets arm the protesters!

While the Malaysion police did use tear gas and water cannons and both can take the verb "to fire", the headline makes it look like the protesters were fired upon by guns, IMO.

You are gettting ahead of yourself. One protest does not a revolution make. Anyway, the political situation in Malaysia, while rather dramatic at times, is nothing like the situations in either Syria or Libya. A good hint would be the lack of a dictator, who cannot be voted out, at the helm.

You are right Jack, i was going to say the same..."fire on protesters" means...only the Chinese or the Syria army are doing that on protesters, to kill.

This isn't right, but however, NeverSubmit, let's not jump so far. This isn't like Syria.

Only an idiot would compare Malaysia to backwards places like Syria and Libya, people from all over the world visit Malaysia every year for tourism, lovely, lovely country, almost anybody and everybody can speak ENGLISH so I really doubt they need to get the UN to bomb such a lovely country, need to go back to Malaysia, great people, great beaches!!

Good point Elbuda, they speak English, they should be exempt from NATO intervention.

We should at least demand a ceasefire and tell the Malaysian army to stand down. UN peacekeepers should be sent in to separate the protestors from the Malaysia Army.

An interim government should be formed with the leader of the protestors as the new Prime Minister of Malaysia.

The above is the only way to stop the violence.

NeverSubmit,

I am not really sure why you are doing so, but you are ignoring the fact that the situation in Malaysia in no way, shape or form mirrors the situations in Syria and Libya.

I thought the headline was misleading myself, glad others noticed it.
