I strongly support Hong Kong democracy and freedom.

I think these young intellectuals in HK can see the future and they do not like what they see.

Even westerners should be concerned about the implications of a deep state knowing what, where, why and who we are doing stuff with.

It will come for us as well but hopefully we have the legitimate people power to tweak it over a long period of time (20 to 30 years seems about right).

The current Chinese model is one that is "full-blown, top-down mandate, right now" which might be OK if the people knew that those making these important decisions were brilliant both individually and collectively and had concerns for all Chinakind. That seems rather unlikely to me.

Send them to where they are welcomed.

Akie...

”Send them to...”

Wow, you see the problem is that although you are Chinese and feel HK is yours, it’s also their land and has been for as long as anyone has been alive.

You cannot call them criminals for asking for rights, unless you admit that you are a complete dictatorship.

Aren’t you? A read through recent history shows why modern humans fear dictatorships as evil and against humanity.

Mainland China is. The place where Silicon big tech companies make the iphones and similar gadgets that all the commentators line up to buy, and the place that is supported by the likes of Google and Facebook, who are happy to tweak their algorithms to comply with the Chinese government, and who tweak their algorithms in order to support the neolib globalist agenda.

Since the west like all the young protesters, they should accept all of them where they can have freedom, HK will always be part of China no matter what the west said.

They should go to Australia where they had permission for "peaceful demonstration".
