A man who traveled to space with William Shatner last month was killed along with another person when a small plane crashed in northern New Jersey, according to state police.

Life is very fragile.

Fischer owned Fischer Aviation, a family-run flight school, and was its head instructor, according to public reports.

This could grow a rich field of conspiracy theories.

The Cessna 172 is one of the safest small aircraft in the world. I am curious as to the cause of the crash.

That's irony for you! Waste millions of dollars spending 10 minutes in the stratosphere only to die a couple thousand feet above in a plane crash. I like what Tom Hanks said on Jimmy Kimmel a few weeks ago: "I'm not stupid enough to dish out millions of bucks for a 10 minute ride to the edge of space!"

@Gajinjland or that he manage to go to space before dying rather than keeping all the money that he won't be able to use now.

All about perspective.
