Pretty much sums it up. Just be sure to keep as many names private so the Trump fans have a difficult time issuing their standard death threats.
Bob Fosse
I feel sorry for the 5 people who went to protest the ‘arrest’. They looked pitifully lost.
Cards fan
As they should. No prosecutor in their right mind would give information to a political party that would then turn around and give it to the subject of the investigation.
Blacklabel
You mean the Democrat compliant media (NBC News) who created an expectation that ruined the DA plans for the arrest on the planned day.
so “next week huh?! Just like the other one that has been charges are “imminent” since end of January.
Desert Tortoise
This DA should warn these members of Congress that their actions, should they persist, could constitute obstruction of justice and can be prosecuted under New York law.

The Repubs are all in on abusing the power of Repub Big Government to protect Trump from justice...
It's a preview of what we'll get if we let them back in the WH - criminals running loose and being shielded by those in power - and big government being used to attack and prosecute the innocent...
It's no different from Putin's Russia, Xi's China, or the Mullahs' Iran - that's where the Repubs want to take our country...

And the case fell apart like most expected it would. Best thing for Briggs to do at this point is to save face, walk away and save his dignity, the little he has left.
Bob Fosse
Actually it was Dems using mind control waves developed by Bill Gates amplified by magnetized flouride in the Mar a Lago tap water which forced 45 to tweet about it.
Desert Tortoise
Don't forget that the wording of the tweets was transmitted to him by Jewish space lasers fired from Italian satellites O_O

It would be interesting to put the GOP politicians under oath to determine if 1) they are being fed insider information or 2) if everything they are saying is pure speculation.
Either way, they lose.
Blacklabel
no it was just NBC News article based on a leak from NY DA office.
Everyone saw it and was talking about it well before Trump commented.
UChosePoorly
Trump was the first one who said 'Tuesday' though, right? I don't recall seeing 'Tuesday' before Trump's Truth Social post, do you?
Superlib
What insider information do you have? Are you allowed to share it with us?
bass4funk
Wake up now.
Hmmm, doesn't seem so at this point.
The misdemeanor charges itself and then there is Briggs star witness Michael Cohen, the man that perjured himself 7 times while under oath.
Anyway, this case is for the most part DOA.
UChosePoorly
What charges have been filed, Bass?
Blacklabel
Yes, it was always Tuesday in the media reports.
Superlib
So you've read the testimony and didn't see any references to any other crimes, which would change a misdemeanor to a felony?
You've seen the witness list and it was just Cohen?
The fact still remains that nothing has happened yet except for a preemptive strike on a DA who hasn't even indicted anyone.
Blacklabel
but who was going to (per leaks from his own office), absent the preemptive strike that allowed Michael Cohen's lawyer to testify first and blow up the case.
UChosePoorly
Do you have a link from prior to when Trump posted. I looked a bit, but nothing is coming up.
YeahRight
While I think these charges are being trumped up (see what I did there?), I don't understand how the Legislative Branch of the federal government has any oversight over a state function.
bass4funk
No, I read the allegation and read up on the law as well as listened to some of the smartest legal minds in the US when it comes to the rule of law, and the best part about it, is they're not even conservative legal professors.
Good luck with that, and as expected, that doesn't seem to be happening.
Each day of a delay means there is dissent, which is better than good for the former President.
Looks like nothing will......again...
Superlib
Talk to Bass. He said the case fell apart so no indictment. You seem to think the date has been moved.
bass4funk
Even if there were, it wouldn't stick.
Kurumazaka2.1
this is with a razor thin majority. Something to remember next election. Just try to imagine what they would do with real power.
u_s__reamer
Republicans are at it again: attempting to obstruct justice for political purposes. The DOJ has held none of them responsible for their role in the conspiracy to keep their leader in power and so, emboldened by impunity, they are muddying the waters further and dragging Bragg's investigation into the mud. This is all political theater that will not hold up Bragg's pursuit of the truth nor prevent the inevitable indictment of "Individual 1". The sudden announcement that Bragg will delay convening the next session of the Grand jury may be because of a more serious development: might it be that Main Justice may be putting the brakes on Bragg to get dibs on the Don?
UChosePoorly
I don't have a Truth Social account, so can't verify this myself, but did Trump really post a picture of himself holding a baseball bat next to a picture of the Manhattan DA? Anyone?
Superlib
Irrelevant. The point is that you said it fell apart (no indictment) and black says the date changed (indictment forthcoming.)
Stuff like this happens when two different people make things up out of thin air. Lots of that going around on the Red side right now. Some are even saying the DA should be arrested and put in jail ASAP.
Can you give us a link? No.
Sounds like you have no special, insider information.
Blacklabel
no, they were planning to but the case fell apart BEFORE the arrest date. so now they cant.
Doesnt mean they wont anyway out of stupidity/spite/malice/arrogance/harassment (pick one or all)- but the case itself has fallen apart.
between the testimony of Cohen's lawyer and the discovery of the 2018 letter Cohen and his other lawyer sent, as well as the shaky ground it was on to begin with, this should be done.
UChosePoorly
Blacklabel - do you have any evidence other than Trump's Truth Social post about a Tuesday arrest date? I can't find anything prior to Trump's announcement.
Blacklabel
so for people who dont keep up with the news and who seem unclear.
The DA planned to arrest Trump on Tuesday without calling any more witnesses, just having the grand jury vote to do so. no advance notice (except maybe to CNN camera crews, as they do that often).
Someone from DA office leaked it to NBC News that Trump would be arrested on Tuesday. NBC couldnt help but report it so Cohen started running his mouth. Trump saw that and posted about it to the American people, ruining the secret of it all.
Costello saw that and said hey wait a minute thats not what Cohen told me and asked Trump team to ask the DA to testify.
DA had no choice but to bring Costello in, thinking they could use Cohen to rebut him. But he blew up the case with his testimony, and also found a letter from Cohen that discounts his current claims and now Bragg cant use Cohen and cant indict like he planned.
So he is panicking wondering what to do. and the posters here are super sad, denied their "perp- walk", mug shot and orange jump suit once again. curses, those damn kids! its like a Scooby Doo episode by now.
bass4funk
For the left?
Well, he won't go to jail, so bet on that, relax.
Do you mean, like the Democrats?
Google Dershowitz and Turley.
Just the two most smartest legal Democrat law professors, give me some dab.
Superlib
So you're covered either way.
Blacklabel
Correct. because I have learned long ago to not discount the fact that liberals do things that make no sense when they get obsessed over something or someone.
The case? its over before it even started. too many questions about statutes and proving additional federal crimes by a state DA and witness credibility.
The prosecution of the case, especially in the media, likely not over.
Just how it is when people wont let things go, they do/say stupid things.
Blacklabel
not especially, but I remember it was known by then that Tuesday was "the day" before Trump spoke and no one corrected it after he said it. The media and all of you took it and gleefully ran with it.
at the worst, thats called taking "next week" and controlling your own narrative by saying "Tuesday". Maybe they planned to sweat Trump all week and then late on Friday say "oh we meant next week". Like the other case where charges have been "imminent" for months now.
He wasnt having that, played it like a BOSS.
UChosePoorly
UChosePoorlyMar. 19 07:58 am JST
There is also a chance that there is no indictment and this is just kayfabe so he can say that he and his supporters convinced them to back off and so he gets a win. I guess we will see next week.
-1( +4 / -5 )
Blacklabel
or the next week or the next month or the next year.
With Trump the time is to infinity, with the narrative of "well, not yet"
Superlib
Lots of words after that. You can shrink things down and just say, "They can't and they won't, but they can and they might."
Same insurance policy, easier to read.
nishikat
Who on earth talks publicly about themselves getting busted. Just people like Trump and Andrew Tate.
Prosecutors don't work that way. You ask why Clinton doesn't get busted for her 300,000 emails and they won't answer about that either. They are a silent killer that will send a big steamroller after you once they want you. This is not Trump justice, this is justice. Trump should have never (because of how he self destructed from being too thin skinned) run for president. He even took Proud Boys down with him.
Blacklabel
you the one saying no one knows.
I say I dont know, and you criticize me?
So we DO know?
UChosePoorly
What was there to correct? Who could have corrected him? Bragg and his team could have, I suppose, but why would they do that? That's not how things work.
Superlib
Don't worry, black. You're covered no matter what happens.
Have a good night.
Superlib
You could say that. On the whole the left are more educated and can understand what irrelevant means and how your statements are irrelevant.
It might confuse those on the Right.
nishikat
Presidents Obama or Hillary never had any legal problems. Even W. had none because he followed the rules and laws (even with the Iraq disaster). W. respected the system and Trump never will. And Trump people 100% believe Trump and will jump off a cliff if he asks them to (Like Stewart Rhodes, proud boys, oath keepers, and Patrick Crusius)
Blacklabel
the media sources that published it as "the walls are closing in" and the media who promised you a Trump arrest on......Tuesday.
Were posters here not promised that and did they not gleefully post about its inevitability?
I was alive last week, I saw it all. Most of it is still posted there. You arent discussing some ancient history.
bass4funk
Yeah, we hear that every single day, the left, the chosen ones, LOL
No, we don’t.
Superlib
Have a good night, Bass.
UChosePoorly
Blacklabel - Trump mentioned Tuesday first that I saw, and I do try and keep up with things. Should we have not believed Trump when he told us Tuesday? Is there a chance that we saw an opening to fund-raise and seized it? Is that at least a possibility in your mind? I mean, the guy is pretty good at raising funds and seizing opportunities to do so.
Blacklabel
No, because he doesn’t need to falsely claim he will be arrested just to fundraise.
its obvious that the plan was to indict him this week. so a trump was right and should have been believed. His announcement ruined the plan that’s all (for now).
Local government response of deploying Barricades, recall of police to duty, city wide meetings, etc not just words in an article proves the intent.
trump didn’t lie, their plan just failed.
UChosePoorly
he* saw an opening
UChosePoorly
I'm not convinced, Blacklabel. So if he says he is getting arrested next Tuesday, should we believe him?
UChosePoorly
Also, why would his announcement on Truth Social cause the Manhattan DA to change his plans?
nishikat
Who cares?
bass4funk
You too.
nishikat
Trump said he would go after Hillary and lock her up.
What happened?????
Blacklabel
No, because there is no evidence of that at this time, no leak or media report indicating it will happen. Have you seen anything. All I see is "next week" again. but much more of a maybe than it was.
Because it started the public conversation that led to Cohens ex laywer having to be called to testify, blowing up the whole case based on Cohen lies. Plus it informed the American people in adavnce of the planned outcome of the unjust prosecution and arrest, so they had to rethink it.
The media in their haste to "get Trump" and mock his upcoming arrest, actually ruined the plan.
You sure cared a lot when you thought Trump was getting arrested. suffered from premature celebration.
Blacklabel
he showed weakness based on his fondness for Bill and the family and previous relationships with them and didnt do it. oh, did he pay the price in return for that act of kindness (and some others)
Trump 2024 wont be afflicted with that weakness, as he has seen what/who all these people really are.
nishikat
I did? I don't recall personally. Do I take what Trump says on TrumpBook seriously? I don't think so. The point is Trump paid off Stormy to shut up (that's legal) but wrote it off as a legal expense (not legal). But will they prosecute? It's not a super serious crime. Then Trump has other legal problems possibly criminal.
Kurumazaka2.1
ruined the plan. NY law enforcement cannot arrest Trump in NY because he calls the masses to defend him from state/city law enforcement.
this is sedition
Cards fan
I don't know if it's sedition, but it's definitely obstruction of justice. His post with the baseball is probably also a crime as well.
nishikat
Trump is a self destructive person and it was bad for himself, his family, the world that he became president. The doesn't have the correct mentality to be in the WH. He doesn't like to listen to his lawyers. Rather his lawyers listen to Trump too much and they end up needing lawyers themselves (Make Attorneys Get Attorneys).
Blacklabel
keep making up those crimes and misusing legal terms that are actually clearly defined and are not relevant.
sedition? For this? That’s hilarious
cant be obstruction of Justice when no “Justice” is occurring.
UChosePoorly
Blacklabel - I still haven’t seen any evidence that Tuesday was the day, other than Trump’s Truth Social post. The Manhattan DA is going to do what it is going to do on it’s own timeline, and despite how popular a Trump arrest in Manhattan may be, I doubt they are referring to opinion polls when deciding on their course of action.
UChosePoorly
Kurumazaka - we saw the masses, if you want to call a handful of protestors a mass. No bearing whatsoever on how the DA’s office will proceed.
Superlib
This is the most sensible, logical, and straight-forward possibility of them all. Highest probability for success.
Blacklabel
despite the leak the media published as factual saying this week?
so the media lied?
UChosePoorly
What media said that Trump was going to be indicted this week? I haven't seen that either. Maybe you have a link? Media did, of course, report Trump's own words, as they do.
nishikat
Do the Feds care? Feds don't care about fondness. They follow the evidence. Same with local prosecutors like what is happening with Georgia.
