I understand that she did deprogramming and has taken responsibility and that’s all well and good.

But there are some things one just doesn’t walk away from no matter how much atonement one makes.

These brutal murders, torture murders, fit that description.

I think she should have died in prison.

What she and the other Manson members did was pure evil. I never support capital punishment. 53 years in prison is a long time. I don't know if she should have been released or not.

Doesn't seem unreasonable but I hope the victims had a chance to be heard

The victims are dead.

But I tend to agree that after 50 years, it's time to release her - probably a low risk of re-offending and it's unlikely to have much if a deterrence effect any more.

She never should have seen the outside of a prison again. Its very disappointing.

This sick killer should have died in prison. Despicable rodent-like woman.

She should've have stayed and died of old age in prison like Charlie.

I would have preferred for the death penalty, but they lucked out on that, but definitely she should have died in prison. But still re-adjusting to life outside of prison after 53 years will be a monumental challenge regardless, a lot of people have time readjusting to life.

What they did to those families was inhumane. Real "hell on earth" kind of stuff.

Doesn't seem unreasonable but I hope the victims had a chance to be heard and I also hope that a man would receive similar leniency. Men's prisons are far worse than women's as I understand it.
