That's odd. It was nice and cool yesterday and pleasantly warm today.

Did you read the first line?

Propaganda

You need to be more specific: What is propaganda? Thermometers? Comparing numbers? Writing observations down and looking at them later?

10 ( +14 / -4 )

How about Japan? I seemed cooler to me and the cherry blossom was late.

March was crazy in Tokyo. It got warm then freezing cold, then there was yellow dust from China, pollen and finally insane wind for a whole week. Now it is much better.

More like...science!

You could easily disprove this claim if it was propaganda.

Propaganda

7 ( +11 / -4 )

Facts show it to be true. 1ºC hotter than previous.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

I guess they didn’t want to panic everyone from my informing you the sky is falling

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Just to be clear, what are the people getting upset about this story actually upset about?

The data is flawed? The data is accurate but reporting it is propaganda?

It’s very unclear. I come across this quite a bit.

Are globalists/Soros/Bill Gates/big pharma involved somewhere?

They seem to pop up quite a bit.

Okay, no global warming. So we are doomed to fry like ants. If it is the result of human intervention, we are NOT doomed to fry like ants. On the possibility that it is human intervention, I'd rather do whatever we can to stop the flow. Fox News is not always right. In fact science is repeatedly coming up with same numbers so I'd say the far right cult is as wrong.

More likely, your claim has no basis while the actual article is well substantiated by evidence.

global average temperature was 1.58 degrees Celsius above the average in the 1850-1900 pre-industrial period.

Mother Nature at work as has been the case even in prehistoric times.

Climate change (as the current crisis) is not a natural development, it has been proved to depend on human activity.

Climate changes, always has and always did. Humans have little, if any, impact on it.

@Raw Beer

That link won't last. Is Koonin in the documentary?

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Humans have little, if any, impact on it.

That opinion runs counter to that of virtually all climate scientists.

No, just those climate scientists that are promoted. Climate Gate made it very clear that researchers and data that went against the narrative were blocked.

No, just those climate scientists that are promoted.

Keep telling yourself that if it makes you sleep at night. It is, however, not the truth.

Climate Gate made it very clear that researchers and data that went against the narrative were blocked.

Like that movie (let's not call it "documentary") you just linked? Climate denialists obviously have no problem getting their voice heard. The fact that practically noone agrees with them is not censorship.

Right up there with “I’ll release my taxes” in terms of credibility.

Too bad for raw dog that every climate scientist with a PhD says he (it’s always a he) is flat wrong.

Climate changes, always has and always did. Humans have little, if any, impact on it.

So you agree that the climate is changing but think that 8 billion humans guzzling fossil-fuels can't have anything to do with it?

Didn't you claim to be a scientist?

Climate changes, always has and always did. Humans have little, if any, impact on it.

This anonymous internet poster clearly has more credibility than the consensus of scientists who study the climate as their career.

How about all the climate scientists in his video?

How about all the climate scientists in his video?

The handful of contrarian scientists they could dredge up? Obviously they disagree with the scientific consensus, as is their prerogative. The scientific consensus, however, is not a debate, it does not change because someone disagrees with it.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

ike that movie (let's not call it "documentary") you just linked?

It is classified as a documentary but you can call it whatever you want Holmes.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Climate changes, always has and always did. Humans have little, if any, impact on it.

Demonstrately false, the current crisis is due to human activity, no room for any rational doubt about it, at this point only deeply irrational sources keep trying to misrepresent the state of the scientific understanding to argue otherwise.

No, just those climate scientists that are promoted

You could not bring any example of a respected institution in the whole world that support the claim you make, it is impossible to expect people to believe everybody in the field is wrong just because you don't like their conclusions.

How about all the climate scientists in his video?

There are "scientists" making videos about the most absurd things, from what is at the center of the universe to the magical reasons why people get infections (not microbes...) Anybody can make a video, what actual professional do is present their data and methods in a scientific paper for anybody to examine and validate, for climate change denialist this becomes impossible since their points are destroyed instantly by doing that.

It is classified as a documentary

I will give you that, it does indeed document something.
