Hahahaha sad news but couldn't help but laugh sorry, some people actually look to comedians for health advice hilarious

In years past whenever I would see passengers from Asia wearing surgical masks in the airport I used to just shake my head in wonder. I sure don't now! Even as requirements have been relaxed I keep wearing a face mask and keeping my distance from people. I am not surprised to see infection rates rising fast in LA. Everywhere I go I see most people have dropped their guards. We are not done with this pandemic and all the wishful thinking or deliberate denial isn't going to change that.

“I feel fine about it because I’ve worn one pretty much constantly for the last few years. It’s become a habit,” said Barragan, masked up while out running errands Wednesday.

But one thing has not become a habit for MR Barragan - hitting a treadmill.

And he would no doubt blame the fit, personally responsible unvaccinated should the behemoth ever wind up in hospital.

Its sad, but in equal measures incredibly fascinating, watching the same people ignore the complete failure of their mandates yet again.

Simply amazing.

Yeah been well conditioned to follow his training. Won’t even question it

And the first time he takes it off he’s infected. It’s pretty black and white. Don’t need to question it.

consistent mask wearing by all parties involved is proven to dramatically reduce the risk of transmission

BigYen your so concerned then stay home forever! Don’t leave for anything!

Meanwhile unvaccinated folks like myself will go out to the beach and have a cold beer! Cheers!

Well if California starts to run out of masks you could probably make 40 to 50 with that shirt.

Jimmy Dore had a great show about New York’s mask mandates again. No reason for people to even wear a mask unless it’s an N95.

Sad to see so many of you who pushed for vaccines could care less about the bigger issue, Obesity!

Halving his weight would do far more to protect him than wearing a mask.

Which is fine, but not exactly as easily done. Lots of people are also at an increased risk by smoking but saying they should just quit is not going to solve that problem.

In most cases over eating, smoking addiction are mental states.. does not take much to change that lifestyle.. thanks in part to this virus, many so many have changed there lifestyle.

“I do recognize that when we return to universal indoor masking to reduce high spread, for many this will feel like a step backwards,” Ferrer said Tuesday.

It makes sense and is an easy solution to a difficult problem. Sure, it's not going to be perfect, bu it will slow the spread for now. I don't see why such common sense would be so controversial. People are tired, but it's better than being sick.

Wear a mask. It’s easy.

He’d avoided catching the virus for more than two years because he was religious about masking up. “The one time I took it off, I caught it!” he laughed.

I find his morbid obesity a bigger threat to his health than the 'rona, but I guess Californians gotta California.

What, like changing them every couple of hours and ensuring a snug fit without gaps?

You clearly have never worked in an infectious diseases ward, where people have done such a thing for decades without any problems being detected on them. again, how so?

They make breathing difficult, get very hot and uncomfortable especially in the warmer months, are hampering the psychological development of children,

That is called backpedaling, first they caused health problems, now they are unconfortable and therefore people should be infected and die to prevent such disconfort.

In what degree is the development being hampered if children of an age where this is important are not supposed to wear them (neither adults in their homes)? specially how this cost compares with the benefit of not losing their family members because of the pandemic?

You understand this means you accept being incapable of refuting the arguments that disprove what you wrote, right?

Omg that comment is just so ridiculous and over-inflated i can't stop laughing.

Have been already...lol

Not being able to accept the scientific consensus is not an argument. There is a reason why masks are being recommended by all recognized institutions of medicine and science.

If a nameless person on the internet says all of them are wrong and ridiculous it should be clear who is actually mistaken.

Masks have been already proved above any realistic doubt to be very useful decreasing the risk of infection

Tyrannosaurus sermon

Except that it is true beyond a doubt that reguar consistent mask wearing by all parties involved is proven to dramatically reduce the risk of transmission as we see here in Japan.

But just keep on laughing.

The scariest part is the dude in the photo is only 35. THIRTY FIVE! It takes a serious dedication to get that size by 35, and I say that as a professional fatarse myself.

He has more to worry about than a mild yet contagious virus.

Why would it matters? masks have been already proved above any realistic doubt to be very useful decreasing the risk of infection when used properly.

What, like changing them every couple of hours and ensuring a snug fit without gaps? That is highly impractical for anyone other than doctors and nurses. They make breathing difficult, get very hot and uncomfortable especially in the warmer months, are hampering the psychological development of children, and do little to stop viruses from spreading due to pore size. They're far more effective for pollen and bacteria, but a waste of time for viruses.

Anyhow, how many people did these reporters have to interview before they found someone who coincidentally caught covid after an event where he wasn't wearing a mask?

Why would it matters? masks have been already proved above any realistic doubt to be very useful decreasing the risk of infection when used properly.

And if masks work that well, how come the virus has been spreading rapidly here in Japan even though it's a heavily masked country?

The answer is still the same as every time you ask the same question, the variants becoming prevalent are much more easily spread, combining this with relaxed measures means cases are bound to increase. Nothing works perfectly, specially if not combined with other measures, something not being able to be 100% effective does not automatically make it 0% effective.

Mr Barragan in the photo has exactly the kind of physique that would dramatically increase risk for a nasty bout of covid. Halving his weight would do far more to protect him than wearing a mask.

Anyhow, how many people did these reporters have to interview before they found someone who coincidentally caught covid after an event where he wasn't wearing a mask? How many other people who were at the event also came down with it shortly afterwards?

And if masks work that well, how come the virus has been spreading rapidly here in Japan even though it's a heavily masked country? Doesn't say a lot for their effectiveness, but it says a lot about who is pliable.
