Goodlucktoyou: If guys like this used the mirror they'd see they're already half in the grave and not care about pushing the button and what happens to everyone else. It's not like you hear young people beating the drums of war all the time.

In any case, what did Mattis and others think would come of their own constant threats? That NK would obey the US demands? Rhetoric and violence beget rhetoric and violence. The answer to increased threats is to push harder for dialogue, but Trump's answer has always been just to PUSH harder -- well, in his case, the buttons on the phone and the threats they convey.

They don’t and we don’t have to take it and from the looks of it we won’t. So if Kim is smart, he’ll stop, if not, then....

Rhetoric and violence beget rhetoric and violence.

Hippie talk.

The answer to increased threats is to push harder for dialogue,

That’s what Mattis and Trump are doing. Mattis already reiterated that point.

but Trump's answer has always been just to PUSH harder -- well, in his case, the buttons on the phone and the threats they convey

He should, I don’t think he’s pushing hard enough.

And the propaganda continues to roll along.

That NK would obey the US demands?

One way or the other they will comply.

Maybe someone could explain why a Free Country has not taken out the Idiot running North Korea?

Didn't anyone ever teach you that what you see in the movies isn't actually reflective of how things work in real life?

Good on Mattis for focusing so much on the existential threat in NK. Unfortunately NK has stated definitively that their thermo nuke program is not up for discussion. There is no hope for dialog and further provocations to Japan by NK are unacceptable.

Therefore there are no options left. NK and their coward NK fanboys and apologists have thankfully pushed Japan to a state where they need to change their constitution to allow offensive military force and to develop nuclear forces of their own. This will now happen.

Even more amusingly, their taxes will happily pay for all this

NK fanboys and apologists

Who is that?
