Or what? more failed attacks on children like in Yemen? North Korea's going to do what North Korea's going to do, and I suspect if Trump keeps a hard line and is unwilling to even think about coming to the table to talk, much of the Old Guard there will fulfill they're desire of going out with a bang.

What a fascionable photo.

Sounds to me, like the 'mad dog' is daring him.

Or even more worrisome, he was being lighthearted. Remember, this is a man who is reported to have told his troops

“be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet".

NK is going to be a parking lot if it isn't careful. The rest of the world be the ashes. Is there any truth to the media rumor that Kim is on his way to the exit?

The best post from smith by far. A lot was made of the Navy Seal who lost his life in the attack in Yemen, something that that Navy Seal signed up for. And Trump's sudden departure from the White House this week was to greet the arrival of the Seal's coffin. I wonder if Trump also flew out to Yemen to greet the arrival of childrens coffins? Whilst these politicians and leaders bang their drums in the media, more childrens coffins will be built, mainly Muslim and Asian childrens coffins.

North Korea isn't planning to attack anyone! Why would it? However, a provocation leading to a possible nuclear exchange would lead to South Korea being decimated and China's and Japan's economies severely impacted.

warns N Korea

to move over.

Trump is now #1 TantrumThrower.

What a fascionable photo.

Very cheeky Mercedes-Benz knock-off they are motoring around in there.

Good on Mattis! That's how you do it. Finally an administration with some brass ones! Love it!

So what he's saying is North Korea using a nuclear weapon would be met with an overwhelming response.

Has anyone ever been under a different impression?

Just a pity he didn't use 'bull and horns' or 'don't #### with us' to get the whoopers even more animated.

bass, can you hear that noise?

What?! Not a peep out of you about Yemen since at least August after billions of weapons sales to Saudi Arabia by Obama and Hillary, mostly attacking and helping Saudi Arabia attack the Houthis, and NOT going after Al Qaida in Yemen. Now Trump signs off on an Obama plan to "gather intel" against Al Qaida and all of a sudden you care about the Yemenies?

Just hopping from bandwagon to bandwagon are we?

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Strategy wins the game. Didn't we part with many millions of dollars for North Korea to stand down just a few years ago? Don't you think Kim's strategy is to look tough for his people while using this repeating process to extort more money from the U.S.? There's a reason China and Russia say nothing.

@Fizzbit

A fair point. You have been a constant critic of this.

I'm not aware of Trump putting an end to arms sales. He certainly has no problem with drone strikes.

Can we look forward to the same moral indignation about Trump?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Nice ride.....

I bet fatty Kim must be seething driving a ZIL.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

@Jimizo

You bet. But you should know I plan on giving Trump at least an 8 to 10 month window to get a good picture of where he wants to go.

I'm not aware of Trump putting an end to arms sales. He certainly has no problem with drone strikes.

The problem was that the MSM kept Hillary's and Obama's record weapons sales out of the headlines giving many the impression that they are NOT like the Republicans and really "care" about Muslims. You know, fake news. We know Republicans really don't care. So I don't expect Trump to "halt" weapons sales but at least we don't have a peace prize winning president smiling at our faces promising "hope and change" then out of the backdoor selling record numbers or war weapons to Saudi Arabia one of the worst countries on the planet.

Seems there would be no North Korea - Trump talks after all

Onward to battles in North Korea

You do not make sense. My post is crystal clear. Trump went to welcome a Navy Seal's coffin but put Yemeni children in coffins. Are you condoning that? Or are you maing an argument for arguments sake and expecting people to post about the Yemen on a daily basis?

@Fizzbit

Fair enough. Let's see although I'd say the early signs don't look promising. That filthy business a few days ago wasn't encouraging.

"So I don't expect Trump to "halt" weapons sales but at least we don't have a peace prize winning president smiling at our faces promising "hope and change" then out of the backdoor selling record numbers or war weapons to Saudi Arabia one of the worst countries on the planet."

I don't fully understand the quotation marks around 'halt'. Sounds a bit slippery.

Front door/hack door - irrelevant. Smiling Nobel Laureate/brash billionaire - irrelevant. Children blown to pieces - very relevant.

Agree. I've never bought into the whole Al Qaida/9-11 theory but it does seem Al Qaida(Saudi Arabia) seem bent on causing a lot of havoc in the world. WARNING - this is just a suspicion: I would not put it past the Deep State that the mission was setup to fail. It was supposed to be secret but Al Qaida knew they were coming. It should have been called off but once the mission started, Trump doesn't make that call. I'm sure heads are rolling in private. They started taking a lot of fire from "Al Qaeda fighters in other houses, a clinic, a school and a mosque, using women and children as cover". A helicopter strike was ordered, and that was probably why the women and children were killed. Of course, Al Qaida gets a pass for firing from a these buildings with women and children in them, why is that?

"halt"..."put an end to", same thing but you're right about the quotes.

filthy?

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

bass, can you hear that noise?

Of liberal heads exploding? Ohhhhh, yeah!

Great didnt think you would think otherwise..

Obama never warned North Korea? Quick check suggests otherwise, and quite bluntly too.

A helicopter strike was ordered, and that was probably why the women and children were killed.

A lot of nonsense being spouted on here this evening. Yes, that is exactly how women and children were murdered. A helicopter firing on a civilian area. You seem to insinuate that its a reasonable reason.

Of course, Al Qaida gets a pass for firing from a these buildings with women and children in them

Good try but I didn't hear about any women or children being murdered from the "Al Qaida" side.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

@Fizzbit

Just to check, you are against droning in principle? I'm pretty sure that you agree with me that the western powers need to stop interfering in this part of the world. Also, you seem to be deflecting by blaming Al Qaida. Yes, Al Qaida are scum but the US shouldn't be involved in the first place.

Your posts are unclear me. You were/are railing non-stop against the warmongers Obama and Clinton for selling arms to scumbag regimes and causing havoc through things like drone strikes. I'm pretty much in agreement with you on this point, but Trump is continuing the drone strikes and you don't see an end to the weapon sales. What do you see Trump doing differently now or in the grace period you're prepared to give him? I genuinely want to know.

I guess you can only wish you had half of Mad Dog's toughness, eh, Pete?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

@jimizo

Yes I'm against droning. Do I think it's going to stop? No.

Differently? From Obama/Bush/Clinton.....almost everything. That's all my crystal ball will say.
