*Report one: by the so called reporter... **The U.S. Senate twisted itself into knots Thursday over President Donald Trump’s new coronavirus aid request, as Democrats refused to rubber stamp his proposal for $250 billion more*
Democrats want the elected US president should a rubber stamp of Nancy and her gang...
*Report Two : **Nancy Pelosi declared the Senate vote merely a “stunt" as the country faces an “epic” crisis.*
What a concern?? my heart goes on and on and on..... Nancy you are the one delayed the first package for weeks with your ego and personal selfish benefit ... Now suddenly you are concerned about American people!!! what a joke...

Trump/McConnell etal want to ensure their fellow elite continue to get the largest portions. How long until Trump/McConnell propose even more tax breaks for their fellow elite, including those execs who give themselves even larger bonuses because their lobbyists were able to weasel more money for themselves. Trump's swamp is getting wider, deeper, and nastier.

It’s sad that republicans care more about pumping cash into the pockets of the rich instead of helping the average American.
It’s official: Donny has turned the swamp into a cesspool.

One, Nancy isn’t in the Senate so why does she keep popping up?
two, she wants illegal aliens to get money too which isn’t happening.
Strangerland
It really is too bad these people cannot get along at a time like this.
That means both sides being a little less hard-line.

I’ll just say this, like Trump or hate Trump is really irrelevant at this point, the Dems In Congress are wrong for doing this, just pass it, this is about and for the people and once the dust is settled then go back to your political corners, but now it’s just optically not a good thing.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/senate-paycheck-protection-program-250-billion-small-business-loans-coronavirus/
Why?
Senate Democrats on Thursday blocked legislation to add $250 billion to a small-business loan program designed to prevent layoffs during the coronavirus outbreak.
The move means that Congress won’t pass an expansion of the Paycheck Protection Program, which is running out of money, until next week at the earliest.
The Senate adjourned until Monday after Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) objected to holding a unanimous voice vote.
The small-business program gives companies with up to 500 employees, and in exceptions more, loans to cover payroll and overhead. The loans will be forgiven if they don’t lay off workers.
Smh...Democrats really screwed up this one, big, big time.

As the article makes clear (but not the headline) the Democrats are the ones blocking this funding.

Oh can it, Moscow Mitch. You want Democrats to roll over and give you everything you want and you refuse to bring any of the house bills to a vote. Dems should refuse everything until Turtleboy allows the bills to the floor for a vote.
Also, why should anyone be in favor of giving more money to the GOP slush fund? Zero oversight, it's all going straight to GOP corporate donors and into Donny's grubby hands.
Madverts
Moscow Mitch should be in a retirement home. Just look at him.

Incorrect. The article makes clear that republicans are blocking this funding by not working with democrats. Nothing new in the cesspool Donny crested from a swamp.
Democrats are pressing for half of the White House request, or $125 billion, to be channeled through community-based financial institutions that serve farmers and family-, women-, minority- and veteran-owned small businesses and nonprofits in rural, tribal, suburban and urban communities.
How dare the Dems want to help these people! How dare they!

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/congress/democrats-block-advancement-of-critical-economic-relief-package
Senate Democrats Sunday blocked a critical economic relief package worth more than $2 trillion, stalling plans to pass the bill by Monday and send it to the House.
Lawmakers and the Trump administration hoped to send a positive message to unstable stock markets and to those worried about the damage to the economy and job losses caused by the spread of the virus.
The measure includes sending direct cash payments that would average about $3,000 per family and expanding unemployment insurance, as well as $350 billion in aid to struggling small businesses. It also provides $500 billion in loans to industries hurt by the economic slowdown.
But Democrats are holding out for big changes to the bill, which they argue creates a "slush fund" for big industries and lacks sufficient protections for workers. They voted against a procedural step to start debate on the bill, which Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell hoped to pass by Monday.
And yesterday.....
Democrats are also seeking an additional $100 billion for hospitals and healthcare facilities treating the coronavirus as well as $150 billion for state and local governments that have seen tax revenues drop due to the economic slowdown.
Republicans argued the same level of funding for governments and hospitals was provided in the $2.2 trillion relief package signed into law by President Trump on March 28 and has not yet run out. The Paycheck Protection Program, Republicans said, is the only fund under threat of being depleted and needs an immediate boost in funding.
But Democrats said they won’t allow a new small-business funding measure to pass without the additional funding and policy changes.
This is now the second time that Democrats poured dirt on their gravesites in a short amount of time.

Lol says who? Blowhard right-wingers? GOP corporate donors? Why don't Republicans want oversight?
bass4funk
As long as we overlook liberal corporate donors, but then they have always hated oversight, but that’s acceptable? Seriously?
