enate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is resisting pressure

Moscow Mitch and his colleagues in both parties, but especially Republican, know how powerful the gun lobbies are and will do whatever they can not to be seen taking a stand that could possibly limit the profits made by the guns and ammo industries. Or even be critical of them. Given the Kremlin's well documented (by all but the alt right in the US and 'abroad') involvements with the NRA, and Moscow Mitch's deals with them, it's likely he and his comrades will continue to 'resist pressure'. McConnell's got very rich while in office and wants more money. He and his wife are deep swamp creatures getting richer off taxpayers.

Everything else has had to wait as Congress takes multiple vacations. This can wait too. The emotions can calm down from the political rhetoric from Dems.

What happened to Dems claiming these vacations are critical for them to “go back to our home districts to have meetings with our constituents”? But for partisan politics they can rush right back anytime.

@blacklab The emotions can calm down

Translation: do nothing that hurts the profits of the guns industries. That's a delay tactic said by the alt right and guns industries after every shooting. .

The body counts add up. The guns industries sell more weapons - to the same minority of Americans, many of questionable sanity, already owning weapons. As their arsenals increase in size. As the guns owners have them stolen and used to commit the next crimes. As the guns owners use them carelessly. Rinse, repeat.

For me it's great living in Japan and not having to worry about whack with guns. Among other reasons.

Murder Mitch really wants the streets to be armed with military on every corner, in every mall, on every floor, outside every store, in every school, in every hall.

Murder Mitch wants the land of the free to be a military police state.

Stricter gun control has been proven to work in combating mass shootings in countries everywhere, even countries with the same amount of guns as the USA proves to be mostly safe because of common sense laws that ban automatic rifles and denies selling weapons to anyone without extensive background checks. Seems like these Republican lawmakers operate by feelings rather than fact and logic.

Moscow Mitch is anticipating this to be out of the headlines when he returns so then he can ignore it.

Yeah, Mitch is holding up legislation expanding background checks. More to the point, he's holding up Senate bill S.66, the 2019 Assault Weapons Ban bill, Sen. Feinstein's update of the original 1994 ban on the import, sale, or possession of assault weapons and the big magazines that make them such a threat to domestic security. Every day he sits on that bill is another day he bears personal responsibility for the murderous consequences of his inaction - he and his GOP co-conspirators.

McConnell values party loyalty over national well being. He is a pathetic excuse for a leader and a great example of self serving priorities.

Moscow Mitch cares more about pleasing Putin than protecting Americans.

Protestors show up at McConnell’s house and threaten to stab him in the heart and break his neck.

He posts the video to Twitter and HIS account is disabled for violence. This is what we are dealing with.

Remember when the Trumpers said they were going to "clean out the swamp", get rid of the "establishment", throw out the "RINOs"?

You don't get more establishment than Mitch and Elaine - they both are creatures of Washington and have their pockets filled with every lobbyist, corporation or foreign agent willing to hand out a dollar.

He's as disgusting a swamp creature as they come.

Ans he's earned his moniker "Moscow Mitch" - keep that legislation helping protect our election buried, so Putin can again interfere on behalf of Trump...

Now "Murder Mitch" is just as applicable - bury common sense gun control....

His opponent in the next election is a female former Marine fighter pilot who served 20 years and flew 89 combat missions in the F/A 18 - she's going to blast him out of the sky...

Murder Mitch is happy to see more American citizens die. He is under the thumb of the NRA death cult.

For me it's great living in Japan and not having to worry about whack with guns. Among other reasons.

Agreed. I hope that disease never takes root, here.

Yep just like she blew Andy Barr out of the sky in the 2018 House race?

Cant win the House, but will win the Senate? cant win Senate but will be President? Sometimes I dont know what the thought process is.

I think their feelings are that failure to appease the gun lobby means they don't get re-elected.

Mitch McConnell . . . part of the problem, not solution

Fox Faux News . . . rabid wingnut broadcasts

CNN . . . hissy fits galore

Orange Man . . . a wingnut leader who, like Mitch McConnell, is afraid of the NRA but loves ruthless dictators around the globe and can see very fine people even among the criminally insane

Nope, nothing's gonna change any time soon. Only a revolution from the outside of Washington is going to do any good. Like what happened with the Peace Movement back in the 60s. Millions are going to have to join together and march on Washington before anything changes.

Moscow Mitch is lazy. He is a slave to the violence-mongering NRA and to Dumpster.

Who cares? SNS is stupid.
