Looks like Ms Trump is a strong, independent, and assertive woman. I’m sure feminists will be celebrating her any day now. Hello?

Interesting.

Imagine the sheer outrage if Michelle Obama had done something similar.

such things as seating on the airplane and requests to use the council's resources.

The world's most bullied person.

Be best!

"deserves the honor of serving in this White House,”

Hear that sound? That's America laughing.

What a travesty this White House has become. Melania calling the shots now in national security matters. This is the continuation of a bad reality television show. A national disgrace and a nightmare.

The haters, probably, but not to the supporters.

I think it’s a good thing that he’s trying to clean house if you don’t have people that don’t want to follow your lead or your agenda, then get rid of them it doesn’t matter if you’re Republican or Democrat, if you’re the president do you have executive authority to keep the people you want that or best implement your agenda and if there are people that don’t, then they need to find a new line of work it’s a simple as that.

Melania calling the shots now in national security matters. This is the continuation of a bad reality television show. A national disgrace and a nightmare.

For those people that dislike this President, they would say that, but this is nothing new. I can pick two two presidents who’s wives always had a lot to say, and made sure certain people were removed from the White House. There’s nothing wrong and I think it’s a very good team when you have a president that does engaged with his spouse to seek guidance and counsel

A fight over the best seat on a plane turning into a national issue.

Only under Trump!!!

A tip for the next WH appointees, let Melania have her window seat and Trump his extra scoop of ice cream.

Surely there's more to it than just airplane seats. As the article says, Melanie has been pretty private and quiet so that harsh comment ("It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that she no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House") is all the more surprising and intriguing.

I don't remember Melina being on the ballot paper.   She was not elected to any position of power.  And unlike Obama she was definitely not born in the USA.  So how does she get to have a say in anything.

> "I really don't care, do you?"

Ermm, yes.

Simple, she's his wife and like previous Presidents from Lincoln to Reagan, Bush and Clinton and Obama, they all took advise from their wives everyone of them, they don’t make policy, but they see things sometimes their husbands can’t see as somewhat outsiders, we are not, we can’t judge, but suffice to say, she’s not a person to be messed with and so far her advice helped the President well.

So the worlds number one country is led by a guy who eats hamburgers in bed. His unelected wife fires top people, his unelected Jewish son in law basically controls the Middle East, and his daughter will be the next president?

You guys are too, too funny.

I don't have a problem with Ms Trump expressing her views on administration officials.

I just wish she'd talk to her husband about firing that cretin that played around on his wife with a porn star and a Playboy Bunny while she was at home with their 4 month old son. That guy is a real disgusting creepy porn adulterer without a shred of decency that shouldn't be anywhere near the White House...

The right don’t like democracy. You can see this in posters here daydreaming about every Trump family member being elected President for the next 30+ years, insisting that Trump can rewrite the constitution by executive order, preferring members of the government and the court to be appointed at the whims of Trump rather than counting the votes and seeing who wins.

The right just want to be ruled by a monarch. If Trump announced tomorrow that he was the king of America, and that the republic was over, half the posters here would cheer.

CrazyJoe - Hear that sound? That's America laughing.

I doubt that most people, anywhere in the world, hear those same voices.

Goodlucktoyou - So the worlds number one country is led by a guy who eats hamburgers in bed. His unelected wife fires top people,

First, Melania didn't fire anyone. But you would have no way of knowing that tidbit of information. President Donald Trump had decided to remove Mira Ricardel from her post.

After reports circulated Tuesday that President Donald Trump had decided to remove Mira Ricardel from her post as deputy national security adviser, Stephanie Grisham, the first lady's spokeswoman, released a statement that said: "It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that she no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House."

Second, are you suggesting that eating hamburgers in bed is a good thing, or a bad thing? How many people actually care where someone eats a hamburger?
