Merkel. Meh.

Merkel called for a better “early warning system” against signs of radicalization

They're deadly to the cause. Unfortunately, Germany has barely seen the tip of the ice berg. PEGIDA has lots of work to do.

Forget "Managing" how about "overcoming" the challenge? It's so hard for us not to say, "I told you so..." But we should say, "I told you so" just to get it out. Can't hold that in.

Basically, we are not going to change anything and we should get used to dealing and living with these sporadic and periodic Jihadist attacks. Pretty much the translation of all of that.

And I remember a few years ago, she announced that immigrants were abysmally failing at assimilating... I thought perhaps the light had finally come on but apparently there was a power cut.

Markel is aware that her policy will cost German lives, and yet, "we can handle this". Astounding.

A few days before she made that insane announcement US foreign Minister John Kerry made a visit to her office I wonder if its connected but thats all conjecture.

Other than Germany is having elections next year and with a 45% approval rating I dont think she is getting re elected but sadly there are no suitable replacements.

Twice in recent years she has stated publicly that multiculturalism is a failure/impossible, from what I recall. Lord knows how her brain is wired. Maybe she's just a masochist.

I honestly think she is either losing the plot, or there is an agenda we are not being told about.

Ms. Merkel has realized that the future is multi-cultural - like it or not, but deal with it. In the ciites in Germany, the classes are 50% children with at least partly non-German background and in regardd to people dying... many more die in traffic accidents.. should we stop traffic? There are always insane people out there

Finally a German (?) voice on the subject. Vielen dank.

Multiculturalism drives segregation of ethnic and religious groups.

The framework of freedom and equality, the very essence of western democracy, is an anathema to Islam, detested loathed enough to insight extreme reaction to an increasing number of the young Muslims, fueling radicalization.

Against this backdrop Merkel has assumed to impose on a nation one particular definition of multiculturalism, through a naive tolerance without advocate to fully recognize or even comprehend cultural differences.

Islam does not tolerate equality. Islam does not encourage integration. No separatism in inherent for women in Muslim communities both in public and private life an unapologetic genuine misogyny where the rights of women always come last. "A woman's heaven is beneath her husband's feet."......

Change must begin with German Chancellor Angela Merkel taking full responsibility for the reckless open boarders immigration policy, born out of a economic need for cheap labor dressed up as humanitarianism.

Currently German finance minister, Wolfgang Schauble has the experience and acumen to offer interim leadership if German Chancellor Angela Merkel is forced to step down.

It astonishes that an agenda to invite immigrants from the Middle East and North Africa to repopulate Germany could have been interpreted as anything other than tyranny with respect to the intolerance of Sharia, the ramification have reached street level.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel refuses to consult other EU member states, choosing instead to deal with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to contain the threat to the border-less Schengen area.

The so called ‘one in, one out’ conundrum. However Greece has not had a functioning or coherent asylum system for over 15 years. EU law states clearly that if a country is to be deemed safe, it should guarantee that no individual or person be harmed or prosecuted on account of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion.

Current events have proved again that Chancellor Angela Merkel has acted foolishly as Turkey does not offer refugee status, at least to Syrians, only a form of temporary protection, with clear restrictions to access the labour market, education and social benefits or health care assistance.

Perhaps Jvogel views on multiculturalism could be expanded upon to provide a clearer interpretation on the positives.

That Chaplin lookalike from Austria destroyed Germany and Merkel is putting the last nails in the coffin.

2017 Nobel Peace award for Angela Merkel, the Chancellor without borders for refugees and Migrants? Chancellor Angela Merkel please, holding tight you're refugee policy and till EU goes down to bottom.

"the future is multi-cultural - like it or not, but deal with it."

Muliculturalism in Europe has been created directly through government policies. Most often thru the unintended consequences of badly conceived policies, such as Germany's "guest worker" program or UK's commonwealth act.

There is nothing inevitable about multiculturalism. S. Korea, Japan dont have it because they dont want it. Euro policymakers concocted it without ever consulting the public. That's what made Brexit vote such an extraordinary phenom.
