The environment is a huge concern to younger voters which is part of the reason why they don’t vote red. It’s part of the ticking time bomb of demographics for Republicans and the chief reason why McConnell is doing everything he can to break the government before those young people turn into a voting force.

This just in, millions of right-winger Americans have spontaneously declared their hatred for decades of the Rolling Stones and in particular Mick Jagger.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Has Keith Richards offered up his advice on healthy living and diet yet?

2 ( +5 / -3 )

HA! Last time we had to listen to the English was 1776.

-8 ( +6 / -14 )

Yes the recent hurricanes and climate change, its all Trumps fault. New policy changes suddenly caused everything to just fall apart. What has this ugly guy ever done for anybody? Ever created a company, run for office? Just like the rest of his type, they are worthless. why is this even news?

-16 ( +1 / -17 )

So, Sir Mick is worried about climate change having jetted around the world and has used airplanes thousands of times himself?

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

"But when you see it now... in so many countries, including my own this last week, but particularly the U.S., it's a sea change.

"It is not about manners," Jagger insisted, saying he was fearful about "where all this polarization and rudeness and lying is going to lead us."

well geez, now that you are old and having epiphanies, we should just all start paying attention and taking notes. your youth was spent creating the environment we have today; decadence, rudeness, trashing anything that was conservative. Now, like the rest of them, your old, and like those before you who were old, see the damage your generation has done. Why anybody pays attention to what these people say....???

The past few posts proved my point!

Got to say Mick has been around for a long time and still doing what he loves, Keith is Keith and being still alive Cudos. As far as I know free speech is a corner stone (get it?) of democracy and using your celebrity to make a point is not a bad thing. The rabid Trump supporters of couse will throw caniptions. How's that wall thing going by the way?

Comedy gold. It's like shooting fish in a barrel!

Just another Hollywood melodramatic hypocrite fool voicing his opinion that no one cares to hear about. To the media it’s news because it’s “Mick Jagger.”

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

I guess Mick could say that "you can't always get what you want"... will he intervene to stop Trump from using his song at Trump's hate-filled political rallies? Surely Mick's got some very high-powered lawyers who could get on the case.

Are Kid Rock and Ted Nugent better than The Rolling Stones now?

He could try, but that might be a bit hard to do as Trump is not selling his music. There are all kinds of way Trump could bypass a lawsuit were Jagger to file one. It’s not like the time and very different when Vanilla Ice used the intro from Queen and Bowie’s song “Under Pressure.” where he vehemently denied it was from them which was an obvious lie...

"It is not about manners," Jagger insisted, saying he was fearful about "where all this polarization and rudeness and lying is going to lead us."

Trump said he cancelled his trip to Poland (a memorial for the start of ww2) to monitor the hurricane. The fact that he gave outdated information after getting caught playing a few rounds of golf. Is contrary to what he claimed he said he would be doing. After getting caught playing golf the white house even released the excuse that he had a person giving him constant updates. THE FACT that he was still wrong AFTER playing golf shows either A he wasn't really getting updates, or B didn't care enough to pay attention to them. Now the phrase "action speaks louder than words" is prominent here as we can clearly say he did the opposite of what he said he would. Then for 2 days he could not admit he was incorrect! instead he doubled down and persisted. Altered an outdated map to insist he was right. Yet here we are a week later, and he cannot let it go. The man has 0 integrity.

"We are in a very difficult situation at the moment, especially in the U.S., where all the environmental controls that were put in place -- that were just about adequate -- have been rolled back by the current administration so much that they are being wiped out," he added.

Hasn't accomplished anything positive for the benefit of the country since he came into office. One of the worst presidents of modern times. He is giving Bush Jr. a run for his money!

But, he has been funneling military money to his Ireland Golf course, and he sent Pence there to make some more money on the taxpayers dime. He is blackmailing Pence because he might choose a woman as Vice President!

What part of ... 'If we had had confidence that the president (Trump) had clearly not committed a crime, we would have said so' .... don't Republicans understand?

Mick Jagger is a musician; Hollywood is known for movies, but you just had to get a dig in at California. Feel better now?

Someone has no clue how intellectual property law, specifically copyrights, works but just couldn't resist disagreeing with someone that points out Donny's stupidity. Way, way too funny!

All of it because it's a really long sentence.

Jagger/Stones fans are more than 100 million fans worldwide.

Good for them.

Wonder how many Trump has outside of America. Netanyahu, Duerte?

Probably a lot more than they want to freely admit.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Shut up about politics and sing Gimme Shelter, Mick.

Trump thinks Bahamas and Alabama are the same and Trumpets don't know who Mick Jagger is!!!

Birds of a flock!! ROFL.

Just another Hollywood melodramatic hypocrite fool

How is Jagger Hollywood? He's British. And he's a musician, not in the movie industry. Do you actually even know who he is? Here you go: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mick_Jagger

Say what you want, a person with social clout taking a public stand for the environment isn't a bad thing.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Well, ole' Mick may be a high falutin' Sir and all that, but he ain't a real star....

No sir, now Trump has real stars - like; Gary Busey, Meat Loaf, Scott (Chatchi) Baio, Khloe Kardashian, "Snooki", and Omarossa......well, you can strike that last one....

Them's real stars - real smart ones too....they know that the British had airfields here in the US in 1776...

Is Mick in Alabama?

I heard someone took a black Sharpie and drew him there...Trump said Obama did it.....

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Jagger has been a health freak for more than 20 years with daily exercise and probably healthier than Obese Trump.

But Trump is the President and even obese still healthy as per Obama’s former doctor stated.

How is Jagger Hollywood? He's British. And he's a musician, not in the movie industry.

Part of the Hollywood group of entertainment orthodoxy. No one cares what he thinks.

Do you actually even know who he is?

Yeah, but I prefer a real band, like Rush.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

He was replaced last year. Trump’s physical this year was conducted by Dr. Sean Conley, a Navy officer who took over the job from Ronny Jackson last year.

Good, with slight elevated cholesterol level other than that, the man is fine.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Do you actually even know who he is?

Yeah, but I prefer a real band, like Rush.

The Rolling Stones are no longer ‘a real band’ because Jagger had a go at Trump?

You claim to be a musician. You don’t see that this band is one of the biggest in the history of popular music? Never listened to the likes of Sticky Fingers or Exile on Main Street? Legendary albums. The work of a very real and talented band. If you haven’t listened to them, do it soon.

Don’t let partisanship cloud your enjoyment of music. I listened to Ted Nugent and Kid Rock but didn’t find them particularly interesting.

Are Ted Nugent and Kid Rock ‘real’ acts?

But Trump is the President and even obese still healthy as per Obama’s former doctor stated.

One cannot be simultaneously obese as healthy, they are mutually exclusive.

Part of the Hollywood group of entertainment orthodoxy. No one cares what he thinks.

Clearly you do or you wouldn't be trying so hard to downplay the significance.

Yeah, but I prefer a real band, like Rush.

Enlightening.

He doesn’t have to, especially with the kind of media we have that like to make things up, distort information, con and frame someone, No, he doesn’t need to go through that crap. I wouldn’t either

Another broken promise. Another use of the media as a scapegoat for Donny not following through. Smooth playing of the victim card.

Are Ted Nugent and Kid Rock ‘real’ acts?

Nope. They are living proof that no matter how rich and famous some people get, they are still trash.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

A bit unfair.

I’m just checking there are no double standards. I remember Bass praising ‘celebrity’ Ted Nugent who endorsed Trump in glowing terms.

I think the Republicans tried to get Justin Bieber to perform at their convention but he declined. They clearly like celebrities too.

Im sure Ted would say the same to you, and to your face.

Proof that ChipStar’s Starship Enterprise will be boring, autocratic and deadly for anyone not cowering under his rule.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Beatles were better. IMHO

Never listened to the likes of Sticky Fingers or Exile on Main Street? Legendary albums. The work of a very real and talented band. If you haven’t listened to them, do it soon.

I have, but...not my thing...overrated.

Don’t let partisanship cloud your enjoyment of music. I listened to Ted Nugent and Kid Rock but didn’t find them particularly interesting.

I see...and?

Are Ted Nugent and Kid Rock ‘real’ acts?

That would depend on your musical personal preference.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Nope. They are living proof that no matter how rich and famous some people get, they are still trash.

Yup, I agree, that’s exactly how I feel about Jagger.

Trump and the reptile band love celebs like Kanye West, Roseanne, Barr, Jon Voight, Scott Baio, Gene Simmons, John Ratzenberger, Stacey Dash, Clint Eastwood, Dean Cain, Stephen Baldwin.................

Better than the socialists celebs without a doubt.

I’m just checking there are no double standards. I remember Bass praising ‘celebrity’ Ted Nugent who endorsed Trump in glowing terms.

I like Uncle Ted’s view more for his hunting skills and political views on the 2nd amendment.

I think the Republicans tried to get Justin Bieber to perform at their convention but he declined. They clearly like celebrities too.

That particular kind to make fun of. Lol

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

You claim to be a musician. You don’t see that this band is one of the biggest in the history of popular music?

Beatles were better. IMHO

In mine too. The Beatles were the biggest and regarded as the best of all time by many. For me, only Dylan comes anywhere close to them in terms of songwriting ( then again, it was three against one here ).

However, your claim that the Stones are not ‘a real band’ makes no sense. What does ‘a real band’ mean anyway? Are you saying they are a fake band?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I’m just checking there are no double standards. I remember Bass praising ‘celebrity’ Ted Nugent who endorsed Trump in glowing terms.

I like Uncle Ted’s view more for his hunting skills and political views on the 2nd amendment.

So celebs openly endorsing Trump and speaking out on political matters you agree with is okay while criticising Trump isn’t.

This is not simply hypocritical - it’s actually childish.
