Why would any sovereign nation want to be overrun with millions of illegals pouring in and displacing the native population?

I come from a family of immigrants so maybe I resent that comment a bit. Immigrants are what made America what it is. They commit crimes at half the rate of native born. Immigrants start new businesses at about twice the rate of native born Americans. Immigrants have hustle, work hard, are thrifty, family oriented and build wealth. The first generation might not be so well educated but the kids will go to college.

The total fertility rate of native born Americans is well below replacement. It is about as low as that of China. Without net in-migration the US population would enter a steep decline and that would drag the whole economy down with it? You want to have Social Security and Medicare in your old age? Then you need a young and vigorous workforce paying the taxes that will fund your old age and mine. The only way the US will maintain its population in the face of a falling total fertility rate is through immigration. And before you say it, because I have some personal hands on with this, even the illegal immigrants who are using a fake social security card are paying the same taxes as a citizen pays. Their employer thinks they are here legally and withhold taxes on them just as they would with any other employee. They pay sales taxes on their purchases and if they own a home they pay property taxes, or it is paid through their rent. Because they are not in the US legally they cannot access many services but they pay the taxes to support those services.

As for the racial aspect? I have zero respect for it. My family was run down by the Anglo Saxons. Because of their religion they were considered unpatriotic. Their loyalties were to a foreign religious leader and not to the US. We hear the same today, don't we. My grandparents ethnicity were notorious for organized crime (just like the Irish were in an earlier era, then it was Jewish mobsters). The drank wine. Oh the horror! My wife and stepdaughter are likewise immigrants and I see with my own eyes how people treat my wife. She has an accent, so people assume she is ignorant and talk down to her. People are hostile towards her ethnicity too. Cops treat her like she is a criminal. Never mind she is a real live accomplished rocket scientists. All people see is her face and hear her accent and she is their enemy, having no idea how she came to arrive in the US or her family history at the tender mercies of the Red Guards. So spare me the whining and foot stomping about immigration or the ethnic changes happening. All that kind of talk does is make me mad. It is not lost on me either that the griping is coming from someone who immigrated from the US, married a foreigner and any kids from that marriage will be mixed race much like our little boy. Hypocrisy much.

I totally missed the bit about locals fleeing for their lives or hiding in basements, and local authorities being replaced at the point of a gun.

They are not doing that and they don't have the right to just waltz in where they want because the Democrats are trying to get new voters, you wouldn't allow everyone in your surrounding neighborhood to enter your home and set up shop and just declare it theirs, you wouldn't and you know full well, you wouldn't. Even Mexico wouldn't allow it.

So if Mexico has a strict immigration policy and wants NO part of these illegals, why do we need to put up with it? We don't have the resources to absorb that many people at one time. We always welcome LEGAL immigration, NOT illegal, what this admin is doing is just maddening and this President and his party are on their way to becoming politically obsolete at this point, we don't even have baby formula and we have to take in millions of illegals, who's going to pay for it? If this WH thinks it's doing a good thing then why are they bringing in so many illegals and busing them out in the middle of the night to undisclosed States under the cover of secrecy?

You have NO border, you have NO country. No other country would do or allow this and the US should be no exception, illegal immigration helps no one and it certainly doesn't help the people risking their lives to find themselves going back into poverty especially since most of the illegals are low-skilled workers, where will they live, how will they live? The elites that are letting them in don't want these people anywhere near them, the system is broken, already in the most impoverished minority areas they are barely getting by, crime is through the roof and they want to add illegals to the mix? The ramifications of this will be felt for years and years and this is why so many people are leaving States like California and New York to get away from the crime and lawlessness.

Not many that come from the Southern border, most are not even vetted, so we have no idea or proper stat to bolster that claim, especially under this admin.

Ok, I get the diatribe, but what this admin is doing is not in the best effort for these people and they know it. The Democrat party is starting to lose more and more of its base and people are waking up to a party that is so out, far out of the mainstream norms of real people don't want to be a part of it and what do you do to stop the blood flow? You replace them with new people, people that would gladly embrace entitlements and who is going to pay for all of this and why are we taking more low-skilled workers? How is that helping the nation? How is it helping the Black communities or American Latino communities?

No, I am not whining, I am witnessing the Democrat's last stand politically should they go through with this, they want to ruin the country by allowing millions to come in just so they can replace 2 major racial groups, then that is their political undoing.

You are mad and so am I. As I said, I am for legal immigration, all Americans and Republicans are, but we are not for illegal immigration. I just hope that after November Myorkas and Blinken are impeached as they rightfully should be. This President and his policies from open borders to inflation, rise in crime, deplorable public schools, and gender, and identity politics, it's enough the nation has had enough and they want a change.

Everyone knows that the 'asylum' thing is a joke. An obvious loophole for illegal migrants to abuse.
