since the end of WW2:

List of US Wars, regime changes, proxy wars and murderous sanctions is…

the compare to China, which is zero.

"This is an area in which China is trying to do outreach for their own purposes. And again, this is concerning because China is not doing it just for benign reasons," Milley told reporters traveling with him. "They're trying to expand their influence throughout the region. And that has potential consequences that are not necessarily favorable to our allies and partners in the region."

Rules for thee and not for me.

Is there any country with foreign military bases that uses them for totally benign reasons?

And is not trying to expand their sphere of influence?

A rising power challenging a hegemonic power is a dangerous situation.

The Chinese military has become significantly more aggressive and dangerous over the past five years, the top U.S. military officer said during a trip to the Indo-Pacific that included a stop Sunday in Indonesia.

The US needs to get through these Biden years so we can have a president to counter China's military moves.

Like any emerging, great power before them, like the USA in the 20th century.

People in a lot of countries (Iraq, Yemen, Vietnam, Afghanistan, etc.) would have something to say to Milley.

You don’t say.

Lots of people inside China have much to say about the CCP-Chinese. Millions in the covid lock downs tried, only to be thwarted by state censorship. Same for Tibetans and Uighurs.

Lots of people in Tibet, Taiwan, Macau, Kong Kong, and all the ASEAN countries have much to say about China. Look at the fake maps the CCP insist on using for the SCS.

India and Mongolia are unhappy with China too.

“Hold faithfulness and sincerity as first principles. Then no friends would not be like yourself.”

Would the CCP leaders like it if their country was being threatened by lies and weekly fighter jet practice flights towards them? I think not.

“Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire.”

@Kyushubill

If thats your idea of a comparison argument with Rodney of China vs USA that's truly pathetic.

Lets see some real numbers and facts

Supporting the CCP or any dictatorship is like supporting canibalism. It's all fun and games until one day you find yourself on the menu.

China has become more ‘aggressive & dangerous’ to US:

The chair of Joint Chiefs retains the right to say whatever he wants to say.

Likewise, his counterpart in China thinks "US is becoming more threatening militarily, dangerous to global peace."

Who is telling the truth..?

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

@venze - CCP has it's own version of the "Truth" and that's that.

@TheFu Don’t get me started on internal affairs debate. China would win easily. USA military should concentrate on internal security, stopping gun crime, illegal immigration, irradiating fentanyl and meth, right wing militias, de-escalating the arms races it creates, fighting natural disasters both inside US borders and outside and clearing up all its space junk.

I live in Japan because of Article 9, which if you think I’m anti-American, it was written by America. UN should make it compulsory.

Well, at least we don’t have to feel sorry for China anymore and can stop giving them all of those perks and benefits of a developing nation.

What do you suggest?

Should America stop doing it then?

@the FU

No not even close.

You're simply quoting western news information.

US bombs, death squads trained by the US, illegal coups and choking sanctions have done way more damage...not to mention spreading an economic system which emphasizes the non-stop production of chemicals/goods and ceaseless exploitation of natural resources which has led to the demise of our planet.

Not a particularly inspiring General. Bit Milley Vanilley to watch. He is still fretting about the morals of his army and doing little or nothing to reassure the world that America is back (!!??).

China is on its way down and she is going to go down swinging. Russia, Turkey, and Iran will also go down on the mountains of Israel. America has lost its superpower status. The world is in dire need of a global leader who will solve all the world’s problems - enter the AntiChrist who will be the final world dictator before the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ.

No, these are just the failed attempts of the US to start up an insurrection: Tibet failed, Xinjiang failed, Hong Kong failed, Macau failed, Taiwan will fail. ASEAN countries are populated with Chinese diaspora. They have the same sentiments as Australians and Canadians towards the mother country England, positive and negative.

The Solomon islands has tjheir own rights to choose whoever they like to work with. If they have gratitutes to Australia, they wont choose to partner with the Chinese.

America already is. And so are it's allies. Strategically we are already in a cold war. Economically trade has been reduced and will be further. Especially security sensitive areas.

Then they are selling oil reserves to China for quick bucks, watching China buy huge agriculture land, and of course the Chinese have scerewed up the real estate market in their big cities too.

So, why would China resort to war? Are they idiots? their opponents surely look like

An HONOR to be downvoted here by the usual pro-conservative crew, same clear-sighted individuals who said global warming was a hoax.
