The medical workers in the Philippines asked for a timeout and their president said they were "revolting". He even dared them to actually revolt so he can "take over" (whatever that means). What a clown.

At least Duterte hasn't declared that lockdown breakers will be shot on sight.

People don't think about what the healthcare workers have to go thru, when they talk about the virus

I second what justasking said, the government couldn't bear to be called out by medical professionals to take action against a medical concern and told them to write a letter instead. How thin skinned can politicians be? I really wonder why governments nowadays don't seem to be listening to the experts in this problem and just let the people they want to listen to tell them what to do. And here's the thing, even if the CV-19 is eradicated in your country, if other places still have them, then the battle ain't over unless you become a hermit kingdom until this all blows over. Looks like we're really in for Spanish Flu-esque type of global situation.

It’s one thing cracking down hard on criminals - good
its another thing doing it to medical workers - bad

All the Filipinos I know support Duterte.
