Well, this "Delta" version did not originate in China, so the CCP media have green light to report on it. Seems pretty convenient.

Do you think the Agence France-Presse is owned by the Chinese Communist Party?

Are there any clues you can find in the names that might lead you to believe that the AFP and the PRC are not one and the same?

I believe you can do it, WilliB.

Because Delta is effectively an 'aerosol spread' virus, it will take a little longer, but this is EXACTLY how every government should be handling Delta, and, indeed, if instead of worrying about the profits of the oligarchs and the short term unpopularity, the affluent countries had responded to the original outbreak using this model, and then paid the poor countries to do the same thing, there wouldn't have been a Delta, the deniers wouldn't be squawking today about their right to harm others, and the conspiracy theorists and lazy politicians would be shouting just as loudly, but everyone else would be relaxing because the WHO post mortem on the epidemic would be wrapping up with all the issues addressed and recommendations for how to be better prepared due out soon (And ignored by the shouting class by Christmas)

Express sister

Do you think the Agence France-Presse is owned by the Chinese Communist Party?

No, I think that Agence France-Presse does not know anything about China, except what the CCP allows them to know. Western journalists do not have free access to sites and people in CCP China. Your point?

No, I think that Agence France-Presse does not know anything about China

Why?

Good to see that (unlike Japan) China take fast decisive action.

Having an autocratic goverment is terrible for many things (from civil liberties to respect of human rights) but one of the few positive sides (for the population) is that extreme measures impossible to think in democracies are automatically taken and outbreaks can be controlled with speed.

This advantage, even if very important, of course don't justify the rest of the problems of having the CCP in power.

**Beijing has previously boasted of its success in bringing domestic cases down to virtually zero after the coronavirus first emerged in Wuhan in late 2019, allowing the economy to rebound. **So Beijing isn't boasting anymore because the spot light says this strain comes from India! Just when China boasted they had this virus under control now they go silent! Since when have they became crickety

And I think the Aussie "decisive action" would impress the Chinese leadership.Oz is almost using the CCP playbook in dealing with dissenters/resisters and the like.Keep it up and both countries will be friends again lol.*

Whenever CCP-Govt reports bad news, multiple the numbers by 20 to get closer, true, number. We know this, right?

Never forget that posting any number not "approved" by the CCP-Govt in China will get you arrested, even if it is the truth.

Or the Uyghurs "training centers" in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGYoeJ5U7cQ Gotta love how the "trainees" are all blindfolded. That's a training class where we all want to learn! Perhaps not.

Will the Chinese wet-markets be inspected and have to follow stronger sanitation rules now? The entire world will be paying for this mistake for years. My complaint is with the govt, not the people.

The virus changes, mutates, becomes stronger becomes weaker, it will be with us a very long time, it6the new influenza

It's a crying shame. Had the CCP been more cooperative from the start and allowed the experts in, then so much of this horror could have been avoided. It's unforgivable and begs the question: What on earth were they thinking by trying to cover this up?

China wont wasting time on "Policy Debate" of how to curb the virus like Japan does! When the alarms ranging, actions must be done now! The Chinese government also made mistakes but at least they were not wrong on "Timing"!
