The umpire, the third umpire, the match referee all have declared him out but Imran Khan refuses to walk towards the pavilion. Just like during his playing days, he believes he still has milestones to achieve and hopes to comeback to prove his critics wrong.

With so many enemies Imran's on a sticky wicket if he stays in Pakistan. This could all end badly for him even if the accusations of corruption are spurious. Unlike in the US, former leaders are fair game in the jungle politics of Pakistan.

Imran Khan's political popularity comes from his charitable works which he was doing for long after he quit being a cricketer and his corruption free image (a rarity in politics in the subcontinent).

The fact that the opposition along with the military maneuvered to kick him out of power lends some credence to his supporters who accuse the powers that be of toeing the line of their US masters.
