Good. May these protests continue to grow until the mandates and Macron are gone.
Blacklabel
Yeah Macron really messed up with his “no science no data I just want to piss you off and make your life inconvenient” comments.
getting what he deserves for saying the truth out loud. It’s not about science and data and never has been. Politicians need to learn that they serve everyone not just their donor class.
Mr Kipling
It is about science and data, except the anti vaccers reject or invent their own.

“It is about science and data, except the anti vaccers reject or invent their own.”
It is not about science and data. We all
know and understand that. It’s about discrimination!

Insanity.

It's not fighting for freedom. It's blind ignorance and prolonging the Pandemic - there 'fight for freedom' will just take more freedoms away.
There is reason Clive Dix is a former Chairman.

and
The hysterics kicking in again.
What is it with anti-vaxxers? The walls closing in on freedoms, delusions of heroism etc. I haven’t come across anything like this since the appalling meltdowns after the 2020 US election ( very often the same people ).
Can’t reason with emotion like this.
bass4funk
I do so agree with you. France deserves better.
Blacklabel
We have court justices questioning that there is no difference between humans and machines that can be regulated by the government.
that’s fact not hysterics. The free will of humans is now being questioned as being invalid over a variant that is basically the flu.

Listen, guys, I had my 2 jabs already.
However, I'm very happy to be living in Japan that doesn't discriminate against people due to their vaccination status.
Through all those years I spent here I learned respect for other people's decisions and their way of thinking, much more than I could possibly learn back in "progressive" Europe.
If you are here long enough you will understand freedoms and respect other people.
Japanese harmony.
Leave freedom to people.
Bob Fosse
The antivaxxers like to quote percentages, for example how the virus is dangerous for only a small percentage of society.
Ok. Let’s try that. What percentage of the population of France is 105,200 people?
It’s another one of those very small percentages of society.
The vastly overwhelming majority do not support this.
Blacklabel
Just a little less than the number of people who died with/from COVID in France.
so if that many people protesting are insignificant then…..
oops.
Haaa Nemui
It's a good idea to keep it that way.
Blacklabel
If the number of COVID deaths are significant so are the number of protesters as it’s close to the exact same percentage.
PTownsend
Hard to take seriously those who have said for them the virus is not a big problem because it primarily affects others, in the case of this virus, their others include the elderly, cancer survivors, the obese and people with congenital health issues, plus poor people, especially poor people of color, implying that for them it is OK to discriminate against those sickened by the virus.. Many saying they are being discriminated against are from the extreme right and are pushing Eugenics again.
Bob Fosse
People dying is far more significant than people marching. I don’t see how anyone in their right mind could disagree with that.
But at least the protesters covered their faces, even if just to hide their identity.
Blacklabel
You said:
so if the numbers are near the same then both are very small percentages of society.
nice try at a quick narrative change though. But we see what you said, you claimed the number of people wasn’t enough to care about.
Blacklabel
That’s called a “mask” isn’t it?

Unvaccinated people had to sign agreement that if they are sick from Covid , they should not go hospital , just stay at home and let nature take it course
They are bothering us , they occupy all the bed in ICU ,no room left for who are in need .
They get sick , they are spreading viruses so life can not return to normal .
Mocheake
How many MILLIONS didn't march?
Haaa Nemui
Lol... wanna play that game. Same goes... you want to see more people out there standing up for their rights? Do you also want to see more people out there get sick and die? These are the rules we are playing by?
u_s__reamer
"Let them eat cake" (if Covid could speak). This tiny virus battens on the most plentiful element in the universe: the stupidity of the misnomered "homo sapiens".

The people of France have a long history of revolt.

President Macron has to accept the fact and change course.
Leadership brings responsibility.
Throwing tantrums and lashing out is a sign of weakness, character flaw.
Blacklabel
And stop firing workers then claiming there is a shortage….of workers.
that’s all.
macron messed up and now he has to deal with it. the end.
theResident
Yes Bronco. The French pay their taxes so that ICU treatment is there for those who need it. People who end up there unvaccinated with Covid should be denied access and left to rot on the side of the street.
itsonlyrocknroll
For President Macron, the situation is retrievable, remove the threat of vaccine passport mandate.
And search for the rational justification for an action that can create trust.
Question, are these protestors antivaxxers or anti vaccine passport mandate?
There's the rub

“People who end up there unvaccinated with Covid should be denied access and left to rot on the side of the street.“
Evil!

Rofl!
I am amazed by some of the reactions I read.
Vax / antivax
Let's set that aside for a moment and just look at the numbers.
If these treatments were working, why do we have 300 000 cases yesterday in France?
If you ("vaxers") have been convinced, or coerced or lured to take the treatment, good for you. Now if others are sceptical, it is their absolute right. Macron is pointing at scapegoats to explain his utter failure in managing the hospital.
And for those we said that no vacced people should pay all costs. Yes why not, perhaps they should not pay tax anymore. Since they are now sub citizen.
Bob Fosse
Countless? That’s your data is it?
I can imagine numbers too. There are only 7 people in that photo. So I say only 7 people attended. Is that how it works?
yakyak
It's all backfiring on those who have been played.
treble4punk
Fools. They have created their own superspeader event and aren't even vaccinated.
I feel so bad for the healthcare workers who have to make sacrifices to treat them.
And the people with medical conditions that won't be able to receive treatment because hospitals will be overloaded taking care of these people who could have prevented themselves from developing serious symptoms by getting vaccinated.
treble4punk
Moreover, 100,000 unvaccinated fools holding an event will risk the instability of the entire world allowing more mutations to occur.
Kyo wa heiwa dayo ne
They are doing what macron wants by acting pissed off.
Now they have a better idea how many need to be rounded up .
Kinda ridiculous.
Wick's pencil
Protesting is the appropriate response. In France, about 4% of those who caught omicron are unvaxxed, 96% are vaxxed.
Raf
Treble4punk
Which planet are you located in?
A fair chunk of protester are vaccinated.
It is not about vaccine any more. It is about the rift macron is creating.
Re hospital bed, it has nothing to do with Covid sadly. macron has downsized ICU capacity in the last few years to boost "competitiveness"
Nurses themselves are asking for more capacity... They are very professional and treat anybody regardless of being a vacced not vacced, a heavy smoker developing cancer, an obese with diabete ...
theResident
@Wick's pencil: Back those % up from a credible source please.

What happened to so called "Human Rights" of Western culture?
I guess it was never there.
Yukijin
Vaccinated people who wish harm on unvaccinated people are a very low class of human.
