Ben and Candy Carson terrific. What about a real black President who can properly address the racial divide? And much else,” Murdoch tweeted.

Gosh, FOXNews has worked this narrative for the past seven years.

The old Aussie owner of FOX sure knows how to put his shoulder to the wheel in American politics! "Imagine if President Obama had another four years in office?!"

Thanks Ruppie, Rumpee doesn't need any help on the racist front and Mr. Carson seems to have the 'blame the gun violence victim' thing well in hand.

Those GOP Shia Teas, they sure know how to bang on an issue. Right now they're banging on closing the Government, and doing very well thank you.

What a crock of stip kc! The house speaker to be is inheriting terrible mess. The Dems especially Obama are absolutely unwilling to negotiate on anything the American public wants the GOP leadership but it is ineffective with the "my way or the highway" administration.

With the admiration Murdoch has for the Carsons one can hardly say he's racist. But selective reading does that or the liberal media doesn't report accurately as we see time and time again.

As for the Carson comment, Have you even seen the interview? Carson simply said "I would have......". That means referring to himself. Again the liberal media spins it into the political agenda the oppose.

And again for Ben Carson and why Murdoch said what he said. Carson is not afraid to tell the black community to step up to the plate and make a better life for themselves. He said in Chicago blacks must stop killing blacks! Obama's home town!!! Obama says nothing to the black community other than we are victims. Carson doesn't stoop so low suggesting that using his own life experience as reference. Single welfare mom in the slum to both children becoming very successful. A rocket scientist and a brain surgeon.

Go Ben go! Your a good man with more integrity than the whole of the current administration! Don't let the mainstream media twist and lie about your competence!

-13 ( +4 / -17 )

What a mutt this guy is. I guess that folks like him think that a "real Black president" would know his place and just do as they're told. The racism at Fox is never ending.....

4 ( +10 / -6 )

Gosh, FOXNews has worked this narrative for the past seven years.

But it was ok for the left to call Bush a monkey, because he's White, it's justifiable?

The old Aussie owner of FOX sure knows how to put his shoulder to the wheel in American politics! "Imagine if President Obama had another four years in office?!"

First of all, please don't bring up that nightmare, thank God, the president can only serve two terms! Having said that, Murdoch became an American citizen, therefore, he can inject himself into politics anyhow he sees fits.

Thanks Ruppie, Rumpee doesn't need any help on the racist front and Mr. Carson seems to have the 'blame the gun violence victim' thing well in hand.

Hmmmm, he's ex-wife was Chinese. How is he racist, now you want to also call Carson a racist? A little difficult right or can he be because he's a Republican??? Oh, please kc, give us all a good spin. LOL

Those GOP Shia Teas, they sure know how to bang on an issue.

Seriously, you don't want a list of all the litany that the Democrats have contributed to the world of Dem scandals, does Clinton ring a bell?

Right now they're banging on closing the Government, and doing very well thank you.

Probably won't happen.

-15 ( +6 / -21 )

But selective reading does that - comments

Yeah ok, let us read together:

"What about a real black President who can properly address the racial divide? And much else,” Murdoch tweeted."

Hmm, Ruppie seems to be suggesting "real" and "black" as part of the "selectiveness" of his particular expression of racism.

But, hey, he's an 84 year old multi-billionaire. Can't those liberal media types give the old fella some slack for once? Heck, if Ruppie were a racist he would have had his FOXNews Network promote a "birther" campaign for seven years with the Rumpee as the chief spokesman crying about the "Kenyan".

Like the Shia-Tea, it's all a fantasy of the liberal media, and those colleges where the commies teach kids to hate America and God, what a bunch of snobs. Thanks for all your service to the truth Ruppie!

Those real black Presidents are really hard to come by and Ruppie's real black President is just asking teenage Americans to get a set when the deranged killer slaughters the Professor in their English Class at the Community College. That's leadership! Ruppie 2016! Or Rumpee 2016! OR Both! Either way, as long as the Shia-Tea approves.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Shia have strict rules and regulations. Less freedom and separations. This is an extreme democratic view. How in the world can Shia-Tea party fit together when they want less rules and regulations and more freedom?

dont you get the difference between Carson and Obama? Carson is not coddling the blacks, Obama is! Coddling is not what they need. They need to wake up or continue the perpetual welfare state while the immigrants take all the entry level jobs. Meanwhile the Black Lives Matter movement will call for "Pigs in a blanket, fry-me like bacon" and Carson says "all lives matter" without retraction like one of the democratic presidential hopefuls a few weeks ago

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

Hmm, Ruppie seems to be suggesting "real" and "black" as part of the "selectiveness" of his particular expression of racism.

That makes you all of a sudden a racist. So Murdoch had a Chinese wife, but he hates Obama because he's Black, but likes Carson? kc....a bit all over the place, are we?

But, hey, he's an 84 year old multi-billionaire. Can't those liberal media types give the old fella some slack for once?

Conservatives gave Jimmy Carter and Biden a pass, so I guess it's ok...

Heck, if Ruppie were a racist he would have had his FOXNews Network promote a "birther" campaign for seven years with the Rumpee as the chief spokesman crying about the "Kenyan".

So how would you define what the good old Rev. Al Sharpton is?

Like the Shia-Tea, it's all a fantasy of the liberal media, and those colleges where the commies teach kids to hate America and God, what a bunch of snobs. Thanks for all your service to the truth Ruppie!

Which isn't far fetched after all, please continue....

Carson is doing well. Hey, so explain to us now how the Doctor is a racist.

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

What about a real black President who can properly address the racial divide?” Murdoch tweeted.

Cry-baby the issue as much as the Shia-Tea will, the Rump's "birther" campaign, and what anyone of average awareness reads is clear enough on Murdoch's FOXNews. Ruppie has set about a seven year campaign of racism and fear mongering with some really terrific graphics!

Not that there's anything wrong with that. Propaganda has to indulge it's intellectually limited fans and no one is saying that that isn't a noble aim.

Mr. Carson is just temporary collateral damage Ruppie has fragged on his way to retirement. Rumpee will continue his campaign of racism and misogyny and the Shia-Tea will continue to shut down the Government of the United States of America and all is right with the world. So don't cry-baby the issue too hard.

What the Shia-Tea fans have to remember is "The Lord is Coming" and Washington DC will either burn to cinders or be raised to the Glory of Heaven! That's not too much to ask of a Constitutional Government and Americans should thank Mr. Murdoch for all his profiteering from the mindless conflict he has shown on his Fabulous and Amazing World-Class Stupendous Truth and Liberty Freeedom FOXNews Channel!.

Obama brought that on all by his loathsome self.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. Propaganda has to indulge it's intellectually limited fans and no one is saying that that isn't a noble aim.

Please, Oh, please tell me the last time liberals cared about integrity, let alone being noble about anything, especially the last 7 years!

Mr. Carson is just temporary collateral damage Ruppie has fragged on his way to retirement.

I think one can take that as a racist remark.

Rumpee will continue his campaign of racism and misogyny and the Shia-Tea will continue to shut down the Government of the United States of America and all is right with the world. So don't cry-baby the issue too hard.

How many women does Barack Hussein have working in his administration again?

What the Shia-Tea fans have to remember is "The Lord is Coming" and Washington DC will either burn to cinders or be raised to the Glory of Heaven!

Carter as a staunch Christian believes that too, are you going to make fun of him as well or does he get a pass because he's a liberal?

That's not too much to ask of a Constitutional Government and Americans should thank Mr. Murdoch for all his profiteering from the mindless conflict he has shown on his Fabulous and Amazing World-Class Stupendous Truth and Liberty Freeedom FOXNews Channel!.

Thank God for that, otherwise we would be swamped in a bog of liberal one-sidedness stew.

Ha, you keep telling us about Murdoch's ex-wife. Did they divorce because he told her his disappointment that she was not a 'real' Chinese wife? Dizzy spin time.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

He apologised? That's a improvement on claiming his advancing years had made it difficult for him to remember details of meetings in a case related to one of his filthy publications hacking the phone of a murdered schoolgirl before that paper mercifully closed.

This is nothing compared to the innumerable past episodes of filth and lies his media empire has been involved in. He's thoroughly immoral and has dragged news into his personal sewer. How anyone could pay money to read or watch anything associated with this individual is depressing.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

May not be politically correct but Murdoch is factually correct. Obama is bi-racial. He is only half as black as Carson is. Not sure what possessed him to point this out because as Carson will tell you, it is your brain that matters not the shade of your skin color. Murdoch does correctly point out however the fact that Obama has done nothing to bring people together. The President has only succeeded in dividing Americans by race.

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

The President has only succeeded in dividing Americans by race.

I think you mean Republicans have divided themselves by race, using the president as an excuse.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

Rupert Murdoch said what he said. He apologized because a lot of people took it the wrong way. I think there’s so many more important issues to deal with

Haha, Ben Carson would be able to give some lessons on reverse non-apologies to even Abe and that NHK dude.. I guess it's the best that could be expected from such bleak stock

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Do you have more than an opinion to support your claim Strangerland? Stateside residents see it clearly. And with Carson in second place your claim is full of holes.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Ha, you keep telling us about Murdoch's ex-wife. Did they divorce because he told her his disappointment that she was not a 'real' Chinese wife? Dizzy spin time.

And can you verify he said this or were you living with them and have insider knowledge of what was spoken between them. Where is it where the source that that is exactly what you said to his wife? I know you libs scrape the bottom of the barrel, but geez.....

This is nothing compared to the innumerable past episodes of filth and lies his media empire has been involved in. He's thoroughly immoral and has dragged news into his personal sewer. How anyone could pay money to read or watch anything associated with this individual is depressing.

That means, you must REALLY hate the media with a deep passion.

Murdoch does correctly point out however the fact that Obama has done nothing to bring people together. The President has only succeeded in dividing Americans by race.

This is the underlying problem that liberals selectively seem to miss. Liberals selectively seeing this

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

Do you have more than an opinion to support your claim Strangerland?

Only that I'm not speaking from the bubble.

The only people who claim Obama is dividing by race are Republicans.

Stateside residents see it clearly.

People in the bubble don't see anything clearly. They only see what Faux news tells them they are supposed to be seeing.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Obama is of color fake black cross between Muslim and Christian Carson is true black hope he become vice president if Donald win the elections. Apologizing don't change colors only the way we think about it...

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

Talk about timing - that post pretty much makes my point.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Murdoch apologizes for speaking Republican racism out loud in mixed company rather than just at one of their fund raising dinners. I love that "But Dr. Ben Carson? He's one of the GOOD ones" addendum, too.

Makes perfect sense now. Your paint pallet has two colors, red and blue and all blue is bad. Brilliant!

Aw, who is going to fend off the next cream pie to this guy's kisser? It won't be the ex wife whose kung fu moves were obviously not 'real' enough for the old man. Has he moved on to wife #4 or 5 yet?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

No, I think there are lots of good Republicans out there. Some of them I agree with more than some liberal candidates. But recently, the extremists have gotten too much of a voice in the party, and dragged it so far right that they think a centrist like Obama is far left - from their perspective he is so far away from them, he must be far left. But it's just because they are so far right.

But moderate republicans often have much good to say, and some good ideas to boot.

Anyways, I was just reading the news, and came across this: https://www.yahoo.com/celebrity/news/fox-news-very-difficult-black-staffers-former-nabj-200622346.html

2 ( +5 / -3 )

I think you mean Republicans have divided themselves by race, using the president as an excuse.

But when Democrats use race to politize an issue or gain votes, cheat the system, go on a screaming racial campaign witch hunt like Al Shapton, it's acceptable then it's ok, right.

Only that I'm not speaking from the bubble.

Of course not.

The only people who claim Obama is dividing by race are Republicans.

Because they're not speaking from the bubble as well.

Stateside residents see it clearly.

So that's why the GOP has so much enthusiasm going on compared to the Democrats.

But recently, the extremists have gotten too much of a voice in the party, and dragged it so far right that they think a centrist like Obama is far left

Obama a centrist??? That was the absolute BEST joke of the entire year!! Good one, Strange, spilled my coffee!

from their perspective he is so far away from them, he must be far left. But it's just because they are so far right.

They been date been for 7 years now and now the shoes on the other foot and liberals have the nerve to complain?

No. It means I have no time for filthy, low-life, sewer-level media. I'm sure as a Washington Post writer you must be able to see the difference. The very fact you impressed us by telling us that you write for that paper seems to indicate something.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

As a former lifelong Republican, I've been very pleased with Obama. Focusing on what's important, doubling the stock market, being focused on all Americans rather than just the rich (though they've done much better under him than they did under Bush).

7 ( +8 / -1 )

He ain't a "real" Black. His father was from Kenya, not Louisiana. Is obama's mom Black? No, she's White.

First Lady- yeah, she's a "real" Black. Condoleeza Rice, Ben Carson, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Colin Powel, King Jr.-- those are "real" Blacks. Let's not insult them by throwing "obama" on a list of "real" Black Americans.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

May not be politically correct but Murdoch is factually correct. Obama is bi-racial. He is only half as black as Carson is. Not sure what possessed him to point this out because as Carson will tell you, it is your brain that matters not the shade of your skin color. Murdoch does correctly point out however the fact that Obama has done nothing to bring people together. The President has only succeeded in dividing Americans by race.

Let's break that down:

The President has only succeeded in dividing Americans by race

which I'll prove by being happy to type:

Murdoch is factually correct. Obama is bi-racial. He is only half as black as Carson is.

But allow me to back-pedal to:

Not sure what possessed him to point this out because as Carson will tell you, it is your brain that matters not the shade of your skin color

Not sure what possessed him, eh?

Yes, it was obviously totally out of character for someone who acquired American citizenship, Tony Blair, a papal knighthood, and a Chinese wife among others. All in the name of his Machiavellian chess match, for which his latest pawn is black America.

And the Prince knows that his apology will garner twice as much publicity as his original tweet.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Murdoch today further clarified:

You're not quite black enough. You're semi-black. You're quasi-black. You're the margarine of black. You're the Diet Coke of black: just one calorie, not black enough.

To this, White House Spokesman John Earnest replied:

Look at him, he's crazy. He's like a vicious little Chihuahua thing.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Thanks for proving my point.

That Barack Hussein is a joke? You are most certainly welcome, at least we can agree on something for a change!

No. It means I have no time for filthy, low-life, sewer-level media.

Which equates to 99% of the media.

I'm sure as a Washington Post writer you must be able to see the difference. The very fact you impressed us by telling us that you write for that paper seems to indicate something.

Nice try, but I said no thing.

I've been very pleased with Obama. Focusing on what's important, doubling the stock market, being focused on all Americans rather than just the rich (though they've done much better under him than they did under Bush)

So then if that's true, we shouldn't have a stagnant economy chugging along at barely 2%, we shouldn't have all this race division, we shouldn't have 45 million people in food stamps, unemployment benefits shouldn't be over 39%, entitlement spending and borrowing more shouldn't be the norm, so I am trying to see where did Obama do so much better??

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

May not be politically correct but Murdoch is factually correct. Obama is bi-racial. He is only half as black as Carson is. Not sure what possessed him to point this out because as Carson will tell you, it is your brain that matters not the shade of your skin color. Murdoch does correctly point out however the fact that Obama has done nothing to bring people together. The President has only succeeded in dividing Americans by race.

This is laughable. Wolfpack, I thought you learned your lesson on the gay marriage issue but I guess not. First, Obama is black. Bi-racial blacks are called black in American, not half-white. That term does not exist really as it does here in Japan. 40% of republicans think Obama is African, not American white or black. That is just pure racism. And that is the reason why the country is divided on race. Most republicans cannot accept a black President. And is so natural for conservatives they want to blame the problems they create, open racism in America, on others rather than look at the real cause of the problem. Their own racism. Carson himself is a fake candidate, a token candidate so racist republicans can make the case that they are not racist. Carson will sink like a stone once elections start.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

That Barack Hussein is a joke? You are most certainly welcome, at least we can agree on something for a change!

Thanks for proving it even further.

40% of republicans think Obama is African, not American white or black. That is just pure racism. And that is the reason why the country is divided on race.

Exactly. This is why I said Republicans have divided America by race, using the president as an excuse. The truth is most definitely not that Obama has divided the country by race. It's just his race that the people who are doing the dividing, are hung up upon.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Most republicans cannot accept a black President.

I can. Just as long as he knows what hell he's doing.

First, Obama is black. Bi-racial blacks are called black in American, not half-white.

So what? He still isn't a "real" Black.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

This is laughable. Wolfpack, I thought you learned your lesson on the gay marriage issue but I guess not. First, Obama is black.

So we can just shove and not acknowledge his White mother, dunno, but that sounds really selectively racist to me.

Bi-racial blacks are called black in American, not half-white.

That analogy is in itself racist.

That term does not exist really as it does here in Japan. 40% of republicans think Obama is African, not American white or black. That is just pure racism.

Didn't Blacks originate in Africa???? Or is it racist to say that?

And that is the reason why the country is divided on race. Most republicans cannot accept a black President.

Most liberals can't tell the difference between a conservative, Republican or a libertarian and it complicates the waters if Blacks or Hispanics belong to either of these parties.

And is so natural for conservatives they want to blame the problems they create, open racism in America, on others rather than look at the real cause of the problem.

Nah, the Dems have been playing that card for the last 7 years to the absolute max.

Their own racism. Carson himself is a fake candidate, a token candidate so racist republicans can make the case that they are not racist. Carson will sink like a stone once elections start.

Now that was a racist statement, but I forget, liberals cannot be racist because they are....well, liberals.

Thanks for proving it even further.

Thank you for agreeing that Barack is a joke. Today is indeed a good day.

Exactly. This is why I said Republicans have divided America by race, using the president as an excuse.

The Black lives matter, Prof. Gates dust up, Al Sharpton mouthing off when something happens to Blacks, but anyone else not a word! Obama polarizing and politicizing EVERY issue that deals with race, the constant verbal and physical attacks on cops, vilifying Whites, as if All Whites are the problem got all Blacks. But for liberals, once again, that is acceptable. Hypocrisy, of course not.

The truth is most definitely not that Obama has divided the country by race. It's just his race that the people who are doing the dividing, are hung up upon.

Then please tell your fellow libs to stop doing it.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

You could have saved a not of time if you had just boiled your post down to "I know you are, but what am I". Also know as the "I'm rubber you're glue everything you say bounces of me and sticks to you" rebuttal.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Now, I just love the fact that you admit what we all know about this president that he is the first in US history that absolutely and single-handedly made the US the laughing stock of the world to everyone, friends and enemies and more than ever, I can't wait to get through the last 15 months and then we never have to look back at this disastrous and ludicrous imbecile again.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

More comments from the bubble from Bass. The US is only a laughing stock in the bubble.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Strange, still trying. LOL Buddy, keep on at it.

The comment you refer to is the definition of a racist bigot. No need to clarify for arguments sake. What the reader learns is the bigot, like Ruppie, always has a bail out justification. ie: "Sure he's a N, but I would never say that to his face".

What's the difference if Blacks can say it, but Whites can't? Also, why can Blacks hurl racist prerogatives at Whites and it's perfectly acceptable and they will say it directly to their face. That's just as bad, wouldn't you agree?

One would imagine all of this is very clear as examples run rife through the GOP Shia-Tea campaign. Look no further than the Rump's "Birther Campaign". Trump made a cottage industry of racial prejudice on FOX, and now he thinks Americans want his brand of bigot to sort out their social evolution into full blown KKK compliant Legislation.

But it was Ok for the rest of America to swallow Obama and his sidekick race hustler the Good Rev. Al Sharpton for the last 7 years. Hey, do you think Obama ever launched an investigation on the outstanding $7 million that Sharpton owes on taxes?

Murdoch's racist "tweet" only confirms the content of his FOXNews campaign of racism as the old fool believes his racism is au courant with the intellectually limited of his viewership. Which, of course, it is.

I hope you know you just generalized and insulted over 120 million viewers. Smh!

More than most, the GOP Shia-Tea has brought forward racism as a badge of courage and praise each other as they describe the color of one's skin as the defining judgement of their character.

But it's ok for the Dems to do it, kc, why you always give Democrats a pass when it comes to racism? If you just have a prejudice towards bipartisanship, please say so.

This is the GOP Shia-Tea in America and Ruppie has made one super fabulous fortune selling racial hate for twenty years.

So in that 120 million and the many Blacks, Hispanics, Libs, Dems, GOP and conservatives that are on the record, all of them must be some of the most vile people on TV, with an ever growing audience.

Why shouldn't the intellectually challenged Rumpee glumly follow in the footsteps of his master? There's probably still some really great golf courses Ruppie has promised to Rumpee in Aussieland. Private, of course.

Nothing wrong with that. If Obama can give a bone to the murderers of Planned Parenthood, the teachers unions etc. more power to all of them. That's why I love capitalism-FREE market!

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

Ironically, Murdoch does have a point, though not in the way he likely intended. Obama was born and raised by a white mother in Hawaii, not the blackest of areas in the States. This is why Republicans constantly misjudge him - some cannot see beyond color and assume he'll react as their stereotypical image dictates, and even if that image is proven incorrect time and again, they can't seem to imagine anything else.

Obama is more than the first black president; he's also the first Hawaiian president. The patience and compassion he displays are hallmarks of that, as is his humor. Despite seven years of obstructionism and insults so blatant they would have lead a Founding Father to duel, he has accomplished much and has managed to maintain his charm. He's outfoxed the GOP time and again because so many of their caucus think like Murdoch. So Onipaa, Mr. President, and mahalo.

'Now, I just love the fact that you admit what we all know about this president that he is the first in US history that absolutely and single-handedly made the US the laughing stock of the world to everyone'

'Everyone'? You have a very worrying habit of overusing this word ( I remember you telling us how 'everyone' is after your guns and then explaining how pretty much the entire GOP and many 'libs' are pro-gun ). I think his administration will be remembered as pretty average ( his approval ratings reflect this ). His predecessor on the other hand left office with an obscenely low approval rating after seeing economic and foreign policy disasters.

I'd say the GOP with its evolution/climate change deniers, Sarah Palins, Donald Trumps,, semi-literate Presidents, birthers and gun-loving, snake-handling, bible-thumping crackpots has done far more to turn the the US into a laughing stock.

Do you have any idea what these people look like to people in other civilised countries?

5 ( +6 / -1 )

'Now, I just love the fact that you admit what we all know about this president that he is the first in US history that absolutely and single-handedly made the US the laughing stock of the world to everyone'

He did. That's why the Iranians, the Russians and recently Assad are laughing their butts off. Obama made their lives a lot easier and who could blame them? For the next 15 months, Putin is going to do all that he can before this guy is gone.

'Everyone'? You have a very worrying habit of overusing this word ( I remember you telling us how 'everyone' is after your guns and then explaining how pretty much the entire GOP and many 'libs' are pro-gun ).

No, no confusion, literally EVERYONE.

I think his administration will be remembered as pretty average ( his approval ratings reflect this ).

That's what people said about Carter as well, until the hard truth came out.

His predecessor on the other hand left office with an obscenely low approval rating after seeing economic and foreign policy disasters.

He did, but Obama will leave it just as bad and I would argue, a lot worse. Also, you can say what you want about Bush, but one thing is for certain, Putin and the Iranians wouldn't do what they are doing if he were still president, absolutely not. But I do think Obama looks good in yellow.

I'd say the GOP with its evolution/climate change deniers,

More important than peoples lives, no wonder the Dems are slacking in the polls.

Sarah Palins, Donald Trumps,,

Biden and Hillary and oh...let's not forget the socialist Sanders. ROFL

semi-literate Presidents,

We have an adjunct Harvard Constitutional Law Professor, all that money and smarts down the drain and wasted money.

birthers and gun-loving, snake-handling, bible-thumping crackpots

Birthers, I'm with you, but as for the Atheist loving crowd that are hell bound in wanting to change the country? 7 years, it's more than enough.

has done far more to turn the the US into a laughing stock.

Sadly, but not even close. This president takes the prize for the biggest yellow and first Black president naive and fool.

Do you have any idea what these people look like to people in other civilised countries?

Sorry, I just care about America and could care less what everyone thinks of us, it's not a popularity contest. Obama believed so, but as we know, he's wrong most of the time.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Jimizo - you just have to realize that in Bass' dialect of English, 'everyone' translated into English means 'everyone in the bubble'. So when he says 'the US is a laughing stock to everyone', what he is saying in proper English is 'the US is a laughing stock to everyone in the bubble'.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Sorry, I just care about America and could care less what everyone thinks of us, it's not a popularity contest. Obama believed so, but as we know, he's wrong most of the time.'

Why then do you post things like 'Obama has made the US the laughing stock of the world' and fly into patriotic rants when people not from the US criticise aspects of the US like gun culture, religiosity or even its TV and food?

If you regard Biden, Hilary Clinton or Sanders as on the same planet of utter ridiculousness as Trump or Palin, your partisanship is even wilder than I imagined. Biden is a pretty average politician, Hilary is intelligent but shady and Sanders is an intelligent and passionate European-style social democrat ( that isn't a crime nor is it crazy - it's actually good for democracy to have views like his ).

Palin is phenomenally stupid and ignorant ( I heard even Fox ridiculed her after a completely inarticulate, rambling monologue which had the audience agape ). Perhaps she was possessed by an evil spirit and needed another exorcism. As for Trump, well, even you don't try to defend that one.

You are talking about people you don't like ( I'm no fan of Hilary either ) not ridiculous people. I'm talking about people who are utterly ridiculous in the eyes of anyone being honest with themselves. Be honest. These people help to erode the respect people have for the US. That is important and you should be angry about it.

I apologise if I made a mistake about you writing articles for the Washington Post. I'm pretty sure you posted that but if not, my mistake.

Powerful media magnate Rupert Murdoch apologized on Thursday after suggesting that Barack Obama was not “a real black president,” triggering outrage.

It's just a dumb thing to say in this day and age, and to make it worse it's coming from a pampered billionaire talking about black men. But thanks for the lesson, Rupert. Now do yourself a favor and never talk about race ever again because there's a chance you might just keep screwing it up.

Bass: But it was ok for the left....but it was OK for the Democrats...but it was OK for Dems

Ah, a Republican must have done something tremendously stupid. Bass is already in for a half dozen "But it's OK for liberals to ..." statements and the thread's not even a day old.

To the posters above, I must disagree about the right wingers on this board being in a bubble. They are not in a bubble, they are in a bubble inside of another bubble wrapped up in duct tape. Reality could pound on their heads and no one would answer. This is the world where Obama is a muslin African. This is a world where there were WMD in Iraq before Bush invaded. This is a world where Obamacare will destroy the US economy, oh check the stock market today if you can bear to view reality. This is the world where the US is not the dominant country in the in world but ranks just behind Bolivia. This is the world where giving more money to the rich makes the middle class better. It goes on and on. The reason republicans are always wrong is that they start out in a double bubble of denial and ignorance. And do not forget the racism too.

Zurcronium Reality could pound on their heads and no one would answer.

The hard of thinking have always been with us. Karl Rove will soon come up with another set of memes - roughly seven words in length so they're easy to remember - that they'll think will make them sound clever in their I-know-you-are-but-what-am-I responses. I'm going to ignore them and watch the latest internecine GOP House battles as the right cannibalises itself while giving their church lady lectures on morality.

The United States, under the Obama Administration, has been transformed into a source of amusement to her enemies, a treacherous bully to her friends, and an impediment to her own well being.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

So when he says 'the US is a laughing stock to everyone', what he is saying in proper English is 'the US is a laughing stock to everyone in the bubble'.

Well, that's the interpretation of what a liberals reality (or lack of )really is. This is the very reason and with that statement why the country is in the mess that it's in, add to that, when outsiders try to weigh in on what is right for America adds to the nonesense that is screwing up the country.

Why then do you post things like 'Obama has made the US the laughing stock of the world' and fly into patriotic rants when people not from the US criticise aspects of the US like gun culture, religiosity or even its TV and food?

What? Now because I and the majority of Americans speak the truth, we are all the villain, because we don't bow to his majesty?

If you regard Biden, Hilary Clinton or Sanders as on the same planet of utter ridiculousness as Trump or Palin, your partisanship is even wilder than I imagined.

Not really and even if I did, it would be to a much lesser extent. Show me where Palin lied about her emails and servers and made deals with with shady leaders of foreign countries, Palin just could see inside Putin's living room.

We have a president that's smart and ignorant, what's his excuse?

Perhaps she was possessed by an evil spirit and needed another exorcism. As for Trump, well, even you don't try to defend that one.

If that's true, the Democratic Party are Walking Dead rejects, because they are all dead, decaying and yet, they still come back...at least for now.

You guys have got to be from moonbat central if you libs as you say in all honesty that Obama has been even remotely close to a decent president. Stagnant wages, out of control poverty, over 45 million people on food stamps, 40% corporate tax rate, people being laid off work because companies can't afford to pay their staff or health benefits, foreign policy an utter mess, race relations at an all time low, crime rate going up in all the big liberal controlled cities. Seriously, people are off the range of they think Obama was good, the man has been a complete disaster and embarrassment. I'll be ecstatic once he and his minions are out of the WH!

I apologise if I made a mistake about you writing articles for the Washington Post. I'm pretty sure you posted that but if not, my mistake.

Now, you know I would never divulge that information. Give me a bit of slack.

Ah, a Republican must have done something tremendously stupid. Bass is already in for a half dozen "But it's OK for liberals to ..." statements and the thread's not even a day old.

Just making sure you libs park your hypocrisies at the door.

To the posters above, I must disagree about the right wingers on this board being in a bubble. They are not in a bubble, they are in a bubble inside of another bubble wrapped up in duct tape.

Trust me, we feel the same about libs and progressives, but I would define it more like you libs are Saran Wrap, and impervious to hearing anything.

Reality could pound on their heads and no one would answer.

Word!

This is the world where Obama is a muslin African.

What's a muslin?

This is a world where there were WMD in Iraq before Bush invaded. This is a world where Obamacare will destroy the US economy, oh check the stock market today if you can bear to view reality.

Yeah, so how are overall investments, small businesses doing? Why are so many people still reluctant to invest if the market is so great?

This is the world where the US is not the dominant country in the in world but ranks just behind Bolivia. This is the world where giving more money to the rich makes the middle class better. It goes on and on.

That income redistribution clock is ticking on you libs....

The reason republicans are always wrong is that they start out in a double bubble of denial and ignorance. And do not forget the racism too.

If they are wrong? Got the House, the Senate, the base is energized, let's see...on the Dems side....you have a woman that lies to the point, where people just tune in to see the spectacle of a circus she's creating and then there's the socialist from Vermont. Honest, yes, but...come on....seriously? Lol

@Bass Let's put it into perspective. Obama's current approval ratings seem to reflect an average president. We are talking in the here and now. Bush's approval ratings were utterly atrocious and seemed to indicate a very poor president. Still, not 'everyone' thought he was a poor president. Clinton's approval ratings seemed to indicate a well above average president. Still, not 'everyone' was impressed. I'd say most people, but not 'everyone', would agree approval ratings are a better guide than your less than balanced view.

'I apologise if I made a mistake about you writing articles for the Washington Post. I'm pretty sure you posted that but if not, my mistake.'

'Now, you know I would never divulge that information. Give me a bit of slack'.

I just remember being very impressed by your boast that you wrote for The Washington Post and couldn't forget it. I'm a rank-and-filer and I was impressed to read the posts of a writer for a world-class paper which I read when I lived in the US and still admire and check out now and again. I just checked and found this:

Bass "Trust me, you'd be very surprised at a lot of people in this business, very surprised. Also, I don't have the time, nor the need to proofread everything that I post on JT. When I have to write an article for the Washington Post, it's a very different story...."

The Washington Post. Wow! I think literally 'everyone' should be impressed.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Jimizo, perhaps he meant the Washington Times. Though still unlikely, it is more plausible.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Let's put it into perspective. Obama's current approval ratings seem to reflect an average president.

I'm aware of that.

We are talking in the here and now. Bush's approval ratings were utterly atrocious and seemed to indicate a very poor president.

In the last 2 years, yes.

Still, not 'everyone' thought he was a poor president.

Here, here!

Clinton's approval ratings seemed to indicate a well above average president. Still, not 'everyone' was impressed.

He was ok, not that bad, could have done a lot more, but not an ideologue.

I'd say most people, but not 'everyone', would agree approval ratings are a better guide than your less than balanced view.

Actually, No. If you are talking about personal opinion, you might be right, it is subjective, but other than he was our first Black president, the guy is horrible and NO, I'm not only injecting my personal opinion, I'm talking about the here and the now.

I just remember being very impressed by your boast that you wrote for The Washington Post and couldn't forget it. The Washington Post. Wow! I think literally 'everyone' should be impressed.

Well, I must admit, you have an obsession, if you go that far back to pull that out. But you are most welcome.

@laguna

Nope.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

I literally laughed at this:

Actually, No. If you are talking about personal opinion, you might be right, it is subjective

Being followed by this:

the guy is horrible and NO, I'm not only injecting my personal opinion, I'm talking about the here and the now.

What exactly is the 'here and the now' that makes your personal opinion not a personal opinion? And how is this 'here and now' a greater measure of the quality of a president than support numbers?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

I could see why you defended Sarah Palin after I read that sentence. No obsession here. It's just that I am a reader and admirer of the writers of The Washington Post and your claim to be one of them was truly unforgettable. Less of the fantasies and more of honest posts would be better.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

I literally laughed at this

That's ok, I laugh at Obama everyday and what makes me even more is watching Hillary BS her into excuses, after excuses followed by more lies. Love it.

What exactly is the 'here and the now' that makes your personal opinion not a personal opinion? And how is this 'here and now' a greater measure of the quality of a president than support numbers?

For one, Carter boasted once that he thought of himself as a good president and Obama thinks the same. Why don't you ask the 45 million people, the Vets, many Blacks, small business owners, the military, the family mom that has to work overtime to get ahead, the people that work in the coal, gas and oil industry if they are happy with Obama and I assure you, the answer is a deafening yell of NO!

I could see why you defended Sarah Palin after I read that sentence.

Unlike Obama, she is attractive on the eyes, something the anointed one is not.

No obsession here. It's just that I am a reader and admirer of the writers of The Washington Post and your claim to be one of them was truly unforgettable. Less of the fantasies and more of honest posts would be better.

Thanks, appreciate it.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

So you're not going to answer my questions?

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Obama is a great president because taxes are still low under him. The number of millionaires in the USA is record high. That's real conservative supply side economics.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

'Unlike Obama, she is attractive on the eyes, something the anointed one is not'

I'll never read the Washington Post again. Has Murdoch added this publication to his empire? Can I look forward to which candidate has the biggest knockers on page three?

1 ( +3 / -2 )

They're not the same sex, you realize?

Could've fooled me.

Obama is a great president because taxes are still low under him. The number of millionaires in the USA is record high. That's real conservative supply side economics.

If you're socialist and believe deeply in income redistribution, then he is a great president.

I'll never read the Washington Post again. Has Murdoch added this publication to his empire? Can I look forward to which candidate has the biggest knockers on page three?

Maybe if you read the "National Inquire"

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

'Maybe if you read the "National Inquire"'

I don't need to. I was referring to the Murdoch-owned publication called 'The Sun' which has topless women on page three. It's a national institution among boneheads in the UK. I'm sure he'd like topless women on Fox but he has to make do with short skirts and skimpy dresses for the female presenters. Lots of bare leg but no bare knockers. Boo!

How this Aussie puts up with American prudishness is strange. Oh, yes! Money! Silly me.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

"If you're socialist and believe deeply in income redistribution," It's the opposite. The rich got richer, and that's conservatism. It's a fact. Rich are getting richer. Aren't you and your rich friends richer. You said you have two American fortune 500 CEO friends. Aren't they quite rich? And aren't you richer?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

What exactly is the 'here and the now' that makes your personal opinion not a personal opinion? And how is this 'here and now' a greater measure of the quality of a president than support numbers?

But wouldn't those people be included in the surveys that create Obama's ratings? Given that Obama's approval ratings are around 50% and Congressional Republicans are around 15% it would seem that a much greater percentage of those people are angry with your party, right? I understand that you personally dislike Obama but surely you aren't expecting us to ignore the polls and replace them with your opinions.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I don't need to. I was referring to the Murdoch-owned publication called 'The Sun' which has topless women on page three.

Sounds cool to me!

It's a national institution among boneheads in the UK. I'm sure he'd like topless women on Fox but he has to make do with short skirts and skimpy dresses for the female presenters.

Yeah, but they got brains as well as looks. Maybe the other networks should try harder to find brains as well as beauty to help their sagging numbers and before you go on a scolding BS speech on the fictitious war on women speech, I will tell you this, in the world of Television, looks mean everything-period and the better looking the person, the higher the viewership and Television is a ratings business, someone has to pay for all that advertising. But then again Murdoch has nothing to do with that, that is Roger Ailes decision and he does a great job.

Lots of bare leg but no bare knockers. Boo!

Tune in the morning shows, you won't be disappointed.

How this Aussie puts up with American prudishness is strange. Oh, yes! Money! Silly me.

If you don't know this by know, money is everything, you are very late. Long live Capitalism.

"If you're socialist and believe deeply in income redistribution," It's the opposite. The rich got richer, and that's conservatism.

I'm talking about the private sector, but nice try and keep dreaming.

But wouldn't those people be included in the surveys that create Obama's ratings?

Not necessarily

Given that Obama's approval ratings are around 50% and Congressional Republicans are around 15% it would seem that a much greater percentage of those people are angry with your party, right?

From 4 months ago.

http://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2015/06/03/obama-approval-down-bush-up-kosinski-dnt-lead.cnn

It's no doubt that congress numbers are in the toilet, I agree, but it's hard to get anything when you have a tyrant like Obama. Obama is the first president that just won't and refuses to work with congress on anything unless it's his way, that's a partisan, pure and simple, but we will get over the last 15 months and just have to endure this nut job until then. There is light at the end of the tunnel and I already have my party poppers in the basement ready!

I understand that you personally dislike Obama but surely you aren't expecting us to ignore the polls and replace them with your opinions.

No, you don't have to, but my opinion is not the only opinion, a lot of people in the country from pollsters to historians to the Pentagon agree with me or have come to the same conclusion and remember, the average American isn't that far up when it comes to politics. That's why I hear so many people bitch and moan about Obama and always hear, "but I thought.... and I was hoping....how could he, I'm so disappointed....etc" I know what this clown was when I heard what he was all about and to show you (AGAIN) that I'm not a partisan and never have been, but I feel the same for the right this time with their obsession with Trump. If the guy becomes President, it's the same thing all over again, but a somewhat fake conservative doing the same things Obama is doing, NO Thanks! Love how he attacks the media, love takes on the Washington machine, but that's it.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

"I'm talking about the private sector, but nice try and keep dreaming." The rich got richer then. But not by the private sector. Can you explain? How about your millionaire Fortune 500 CEO friends. They are richer, and so are you.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Can you explain? How about your millionaire Fortune 500 CEO friends. They are richer, and so are you.

We are not talking about my finances. But thanks

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

More millionaires under Obama? But not finances? Can you please be more specific?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

bass: no doubt that congress numbers are in the toilet, I agree, but it's hard to get anything when you have a tyrant like Obama

So Obama has destroyed the GOP's approval ratings? At the very least you should have some respect for him pulling that off.

By the way, how is the vote for Speaker going? Obama is somehow stopping that as well.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

"You have a big corporation that employs many many people."

Your Response: "Something like that."

"We are not talking about my finances. But thanks"

You are a millionaire if you have "something like" a "big corporation that employs many many people" Since Obama because president do you have more millions or less millions? Or is it in the billions?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

So Obama has destroyed the GOP's approval ratings?

Of course not. They are almost as bad as Obama, the entire congress and both parties.

At the very least you should have some respect for him pulling that off.

The only thing where I give Obama respect is that I do believe he is a good father.

By the way, how is the vote for Speaker going? Obama is somehow stopping that as well.

At this point, Obama is with each passing day becoming more and more irrelevant and becoming more of a liability than anything else.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Do you have more or less millions since Obama? Also, how are your Fortune 500 CEO friends' situations?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

So Obama has destroyed the GOP's approval ratings?

bass: Of course not. They are almost as bad as Obama, the entire congress and both parties.

Almost as bad being your opinion, which is different than what the actual approval ratings show. If you want to talk about actual ratings then you'd have to accept that Repblicans have their lowest ratings ever, almost to the point where every American polled thought they were doing a bad job.

Won't even touch the Speaker fiasco, eh? I don't blame you. These are the kind of things you go to the bubble to escape from.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Almost as bad being your opinion, which is different than what the actual approval ratings show.

Yeah, if that were true, Trump wouldn't be NOWHERE near where he is OR Carson Or even Florina, but they are, which indicates a huge discontent with the direction and the status of where the country is going and how it is doing as a whole.

If you want to talk about actual ratings then you'd have to accept that Repblicans have their lowest ratings ever, almost to the point where every American polled thought they were doing a bad job.

Ahhhh, but we're NOT talking about the established Republicans, the same goes for the Dems side, I mean Bernie Sanders...really? Nice try though.

Won't even touch the Speaker fiasco, eh? I don't blame you.

Sure, I will. You have someone that put his foot in his mouth and I keep forgetting, if Dems make gaffes we have to accept that they are humans, if a Republican does it, it's just downright inexcusable. Libs are just an annoying bunch of hypocrites. When GQ magazine wrote that piece on Carson the other day and called him and expletive that was ok and NO outcry or outrage from the left. What happened to the party that hates and condemns all acts of racism or racist language towards people of color? But now I get it. It is perfectly alright to attack, scorn and vilify a person of color IF they are a conservative, but whoa, if a conservative attacks or makes racial or racist comments towards liberal Blacks, ANY liberal Black then that person is a total racist of the highest caliber and should be stomped into a mush! Liberals are the biggest hypocrites!

These are the kind of things you go to the bubble to escape from.

Yup, and that's why Trump, Carson, Florina and to a lesser extent...Rubio are rockstars.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

bass: Yeah, if that were true,

It's true that the GOP approval rating is at historic lows and far, far below Obama's. No tantrum can change that.

bass: If Dems make gaffes

A gaffe? You mean when McCarthy admitted that the Benghazi investigation was political? Everyone already knew that.

I was talking more about the civil war in the House. Even Fox News is openly talking about it. Have your handlers in your bubble shielded you from that? It's a pretty big story, even Stephen Colbert did 5 minutes about it in his show. The crowd loved it.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

It's true that the GOP approval rating is at historic lows and far, far below Obama's. No tantrum can change that.

I could care less about the GOP and most conservatives and independents as well. We're different from liberals, if Obama drank cyanid, the Dems and libs would follow in lock step fashion. That's what liberals do. Tow the line.

A gaffe? You mean when McCarthy admitted that the Benghazi investigation was political? Everyone already knew that.

You mean, liberals felt that, of course they would. Liberals live in a different reality from the rest of the human race. All the weed, internet, vegan foods and Chomsky books have polluted the progressive mind.

But yeah, a gaffe. Look, this is what makes me laugh about you libs. If a person conservative makes a gaffe, no matter how small, you guys take it as face value truth, because I just keep forgetting, liberals created the Earth and the heavens and therefore are impervious to making ANY kind of mistakes whatsoever. Again, if Hillary is so innocent, the FBI, Lynch wouldn't hire a special counselor and this investigation would be all over. So how about this. If you can admit that the Dems are racist and use race as catalyst to gain votes and to gin up the liberal base and to use it to politicize the race issue, I will concede that the Benghazi investigation is politically driven. Can you admit that?

I was talking more about the civil war in the House.

Yeah, it's a mess, so what? Seriously, the people are already done with congress (Yawn) let them do what they want. The focus is on Trump, Carson, Florina and Rubio.....throw in Cruz, might as well.

Even Fox News is openly talking about it.

Why wouldn't they, it's a lead story, of course they would be talking about it.

Have your handlers in your bubble shielded you from that? It's a pretty big story, even Stephen Colbert did 5 minutes about it in his show. The crowd loved it.

Colbert? Oh, the liberals go to comedic pseudo News (chuckle) anchor.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Why wouldn't they, it's a lead story, of course they would be talking about it.

That's cool. You didn't mention it at all so I wasn't sure if it was getting into the bubble. I guess you were just avoiding it.

I will concede that the Benghazi investigation is politically driven.

Excellent. Now concede that Obama's approval ratings tower over your party.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

That's cool. You didn't mention it at all so I wasn't sure if it was getting into the bubble. I guess you were just avoiding it.

No, I just was thinking that it's irrelevant as far as the voters are concerned.

Excellent. Now concede that Obama's approval ratings tower over your party.

Yeah, so what? One, he has thankfully 15 more months left and second, most conservatives and independents don't care about the GOP, so it really doesn't matter.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Yeah, so what?

Well, it's a pretty good indicator that we're looking at having another democratic president after Obama is finished.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Well, it's a pretty good indicator that we're looking at having another democratic president after Obama is finished.

Yeah, sure. Hillary is doing so well. ROFL and we would elect a European style socialist. ROFLMAO! Strange, April 1st is a year away.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Hillary is doing so well. ROFL and we would elect a European style socialist.

The poll numbers show the truth I speak, whether you care about them or not.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Sorry, but the polls are NOT an exact science of who is winning and it depends on the state. But they do indicate somewhat of a trend and Hillary for the most part is not doing so well. Some states Hillary does well and other Sanders does better and then there are some where Trump is crushing all of them or Carson, so we don't know, but if ANY liberal thinks that another lib will just waltz into the White House and receive a coronation is on some very serious illegal pharmaceuticals.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Sorry, but the polls are NOT an exact science

Nope, but they are a pretty solid indicator, particularly when one party is blowing the other party out of the water.

These are pretty much the standard ideas parroted by the wildly 'independent' thinkers of the right such as yourself. Do you disagree with any of the ideas I listed?

That made my day. Too bad I couldn't have read it in a print copy of the Washington Post instead of on the liberal Al Gore-invented 'internet'.

As for the Wapo and your affiliation with it:

Jimizo: I'm sure as a Washington Post writer you must be able to see the difference. The very fact you impressed us by telling us that you write for that paper seems to indicate something.

bass4funk: Nice try, but I said no thing.

Obama is half-white, walks, talks and lives like a white man. Was educated like one, was raised by white people and even lives in a White House. He is as black as Tiger Woods - which is not black. Black is more than a skin tone.

good to know! So you're voting for Trump? Nice to know, I'm going for one of the other 4 conservatives.

Yes.

The Iran deal shows pure cowardice.

Absolutely, especially for Israel and the Sunnis.

There is no war on women.

No, but I'm sure when you say it is, it applies only to liberal women, if you attack conservative women like Palin or Fiorina, then it's not a war against women. By the way, how many women are employed in Obama's admin again?

The TPP is a good idea.

Excellent!!

Guns are great and the second amendment is sacred....I could go on.

I can tell you. For one thing, he could start by changing his colors and getting rid of yellow from his closet! Makes him look like a pansy. And believe me, with all the supposed education he has, none of us has seen any of it in the last 7 years. I think it's a ruse. He's got 15 more months to go, hopefully, we will see some of that magic for ONCE.

Colin Powell likes the Iran deal so it's a good thing. Powell also endorsed Obama.

Gore helped advance the Internet in terms of policy.

Obama has kept taxes low and there are lots of millionaires created under his watch. He is a great leader. Unemployment is down. Are there any stock market crashes recently? Like in 2007? He is not a socialist.

Reagan and Bush increased taxes. They are socialists. Clinton reduced capital gains tax. He is not a socialist. A socialist is someone who raises taxes. Trump wants to be a socialist.

'These are pretty much the standard ideas parroted by the wildly 'independent' thinkers of the right such as yourself. Do you disagree with any of the ideas I listed?'

'No.'

For a free-thinking non-partisan, your views are remarkably similar, in fact identical, to the talking points endlessly drummed out by the likes of Fox and other conservatives. Your views on any topic are as predictable as your countdown of how many days Obama has left or 'What about you libs?' or 'That's what I think about you libs' or...you get the picture.

'Can you tell us how black men should walk, talk, live and be educated?'

Zing! Wit and repartee of the highest order. Can I join in? Erm...Bernie Sanders should look in his closet because...erm...all his ties will be red! Yeah! And, and, and Hilary should look in her closet because...because they might find the missing e-mails! And, and if you look in Bush's closet you might find the...erm....WMDs! Yes! And Donald Trump won't win because he's a....erm....a chump!

With that level of wit and maturity, can you put a word in for me with The Washington Post?

If you watched FOX you would know, a lot of the pundits are not conservative. You have a mixed bag and Thank God for that, when I was at msnbc, thinking outside the liberal box got you a desk somewhere in a back closet. CNN to their credit, they're trying to put more conservatives and independents on.

Your views on any topic are as predictable as your countdown of how many days Obama has left or 'What about you libs?'

Trust me, I feel the same when you guys drone on Bush or FOX or Palin etc....

or 'That's what I think about you libs' or...you get the picture.

But when you guys harp on conservatives it's not redundant?? '

Zing! Wit and repartee of the highest order. Can I join in? Erm...Bernie Sanders should look in his closet because...erm...all his ties will be red! Yeah!

As I said before, libs should NEVER get into comedy, there's a reason for that.

The Trump one made me chuckle, you got one! Kudos!

With that level of wit and maturity, can you put a word in for me with The Washington Post?

No, but I do own an Obama countdown clock and have been selling a lot of them online. They sell like hot cakes! Want one?

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

'As I said before, libs should NEVER get into comedy, there's a reason for that.'

You misunderstood me. I was trying my best with those jokes to be as unfunny as your Obama closet gag. It was hard work. The fact that you laughed at the Trump gag is disturbing.

Nah. Could you get me a copy of the Washington Post signed by Bob Woodward?

Then it doesn't come naturally to you, but the Trump joke was a bit of a chuckle.

I am quite sure that you do.

I'm sure that when Obama is out of office, he'll be able to put himself to good use. He can go back to being an adjunct constitutional law professor and take refresh courses of how to read and interpret the law as it was meant to be, NOT as he saw fit to circumvent it. Affirmative action was wasted on him.

Obama is a highly intelligent, capable man who'll have plenty to offer after his presidency. He'll be in demand. He won't have the same aura and pull as Bill Clinton - the most gifted US politician of modern times. Then again, he'll be more useful than his predecessor who has been as much use as a fart in a spacesuit. The last I heard about him he was in New Orleans avoiding the areas worst hit by Katrina. Perhaps he needs a change of colour too. He seems to like yellow. Then again, after leaving office with approval ratings like his, sliding off into obscurity was probably the best thing all round for his party and his country.

Trust me. Obama's face will still be around after your clock runs down. You could attempt to destroy him as a socialist, vegan, coward, Prius driver in a Washington Post piece. I'll look forward to it.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Obama is a highly intelligent, capable man who'll have plenty to offer after his presidency.

But at least he won't be able to do anymore damage to the country. So he can spout off all he wants on Charlie Rose, that's fine with me. At least I'll be able to sleep well at nights after the guys gone.

He'll be in demand.

I would hope he could stay with you guys in Europe, he's right up your ally, seriously, keep him!

He won't have the same aura and pull as Bill Clinton - the most gifted US politician of modern times.

I wouldn't go that far, not at all, but at least to his credit, Clinton did try to work across party lines, he would listen to others, especially during his second term, something that Obama doesn't even come close to.

Then again, he'll be more useful than his predecessor who has been as much use as a fart in a spacesuit.

No, Bush is spending a lot of his time in Africa helping and building schools, spending time with our wounded soldiers, something that Obama completely abhors. I keep forgetting, he doesn't like our military and vice versa, but the man doesn't even try. Funny when innocent people get shot, Obama flips out and is enraged and rightly so, but when a few soldiers are murdered on a military base, he's attitude is always like s*** happens, well, what can you do. Selective compassion is not one of his best attributes.

The last I heard about him he was in New Orleans avoiding the areas worst hit by Katrina.

The last I heard Obama won't set foot in Texas either...at least not if he's a little smart.

Perhaps he needs a change of colour too. He seems to like yellow.

I think he liked Black more. Unlike Obama, Putin, Assad or the Mullahs didn't and would have never gone this far if he were still president, but when you have a yellow-bellied coward like Obama, I don't blame these guys one bit for *itch slapping him to his face and behind his back. Everyone knows it, whatever you think about Bush, he had brass b****!

Then again, after leaving office with approval ratings like his, sliding off into obscurity was probably the best thing all round for his party and his country.

Hmmm...Obama's ratings are not so hot and the ship sinks further when we talk about Hillary. I know the Dems are worried sick, but Trump, Carson and Florina are sucking the air right out of the room, which is fine by me.

Trust me. Obama's face will still be around after your clock runs down.

But NOT in the White House, that's the ONLY thing I care about.

You could attempt to destroy him as a socialist, vegan, coward, Prius driver in a Washington Post piece. I'll look forward to it.

Quinnipiac 10/8

President Barack Obama has a negative job approval rating in each state.

"President Barack Obama's job approval scores are identical in Pennsylvania and Ohio and only 3 points off in Florida, all negative. Although he won all three of these swing states in his two presidential campaigns, the data indicate he might have a tough fight if he wanted to run again - and wasn't barred from doing so by the Constitution."

But still much, much higher than that of Congressional Republicans, which is the party you caucus with.

But the great thing is, although Barack Hussein's ratings are higher, the great thing is, he won't and cannot be elected again, but overall, his ratings are down for a president, that's why the latest Quinnipiac poll was saying if Obama COULD run a third term, he would have huge problems and might not even make the WH.

You need more answers for your party and fewer random questions about Obama.

That coming from a person that caucus with a party that has credibility and ethic issues, No wonder their trailing.

These realities haven't been able to penetrate the bubble.

Yeah, in a liberals showered progressive dream

Are lower gas prices

Which is destroying the US oil industry, but hey, screw the American worker, right?

, higher stock market,

And yet, in the 4th quarter, it doesn't seem people are spending like usual which indicates a slow sluggish economy and uncertainty in the market.

lower unemployment,

Yes, if you count the people that have given up and the baby boomers that are retiring at a very fast rate and the lack of private sector jobs out there, median household wages down 1.3% of the average $2,743 so people are having less income, less to spend and unwilling at this point and time to invest.

But we do have 45 million people on food stamps have gone up for the last 53 months. Good news!!

lower taxes,

Not for the job creators, that's why a lot of employers are trying to save money by cutting their staffs salary to 25 hours a week in order to avoid buying and paying Obamacare through the nose.

less uninsured,

For the poor, Yes. For the middle class, you are seeing a lot of people having difficulties paying their monthly premiums and so many people are just canceling their policies and going with paying the penalty.

Welcome to the Obama Presidency.

Which will thankfully be over in exactly 393 days!!! Hallelujah!!

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

That Obama will be out of office in 393 days? You are most certainly welcome.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Oil industry was in a bubble. That's their problem.

higher stock market is higher stock market. Improvement over Bush years.

Unemployment rate is a non political number. Lots of unfilled jobs in the USA because people are not skilled enough. The problem is you need more than just a HS diploma to get them (and this goes for any industrial country). Obama says you need a 2-year degree these years and he was right.

So Mr. Bass, how about the major corporation you used to be a CEO for. Because as you confirmed it employed many many people? What would have Obama brought for you and your previous corporation you used to be CEO for?

More medical bills are being paid. Proof is good returns on American medical corporations. CEOs like good returns, right Mr. Bass? You used to be a CEO of a major corporation. ObamaCare was a Republican idea. And it should be regulated so people get LESS care and encouraged to make themselves healthy (like in other developed countries). But you do make a good point as Medicaid does a better job of paying for catastrophic care than private health insurance. It confirms that the public system would be better for extreme medical needs. I'm glad we are both for single payer in that regard. Kind of what they do in Australia. What say you?

Washington Examiner October, 2015

Sixty-one percent of voters living in eight political swing states rate the economy as "not good" or "poor," according to a new study conducted by a group led by former Obama administration advisers.

Though Obama won seven of the eight swing states that were surveyed in his 2012 re-election, voters there are currently leaning Republican for 2016.

The survey, done by the Economic Innovation Group, finds that two-thirds of swing state voters believe the economy would be the same or worse a year from now; only 51 percent believe they have a better standard of living than their parents (while 34 percent say their children will have a better standard of living); 40 percent say the recession is ongoing; 54 percent say they and their families haven't gotten ahead over the past few years; 78 percent disapprove of Washington's handling of the economy; and "80 percent of swing state voters agree that lost manufacturing jobs and the financial crisis have trapped many local communities in cycles of low-paying jobs and poor quality of life."

The eight states surveyed were: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia. Though Obama carried all of them except for North Carolina, the EIG poll found that Republicans enjoyed a slight 40 percent to 36 percent edge among voters surveyed, with 21 percent undecided.

More medical bills are being paid.

LA Times October, 12th

Finding a doctor who takes Obamacare coverage could be just as frustrating for Californians in 2015 as the health-law expansion enters its second year.

The state's largest health insurers are sticking with their often-criticized narrow networks of doctors, and in some cases they are cutting the number of physicians even more, according to a Times analysis of company data. And the state's insurance exchange, Covered California, still has no comprehensive directory to help consumers match doctors with health plans.

This comes as insurers prepare to enroll hundreds of thousands of new patients this fall and get 1.2 million Californians to renew their policies under the Affordable Care Act.

Even as California's enrollment grows, many patients continue to complain about being offered fewer choices of doctors and having no easy way to find the ones that are available.

Some consumers have been saddled with huge medical bills after insurers refused to pay for care deemed out of network. These complaints have sparked a state investigation and consumer lawsuits against two big insurers.

Proof is good returns on American medical corporations.

Not really as in California's case which is the largest state.

CEOs like good returns, right Mr. Bass? You used to be a CEO of a major corporation. ObamaCare was a Republican idea.

Has nothing to do with anything. Mickey Mouse could have came up with the idea, point is, it was designed at that time for ONE state and the money that was used was from a slush fund account that Ted Kennedy accumulated and that money was used to fund it. This monstrosity what Gruber, Obama and Emanuel came up with is straining the country and putting a larger burden on it. Had Obama went and said, he would create health insurance for 11 million people that didn't have it, No problem and most people would have been content with that, but now he destroyed millions of people that had good policies from their employers and there was no need to touch theirs.

And it should be regulated so people get LESS care and encouraged to make themselves healthy (like in other developed countries).

No, if you like to be Sweden, move there. We are not them and they are not us. Most Swedes don't mind paying 70% in taxes, most Americans would come at you with an axe if you ask them that.

I'm glad we are both for single payer in that regard.

We are not, sorry.

Kind of what they do in Australia. What say you?

I'm an American, I care about America.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

"Finding a doctor who takes Obamacare " I'm not worried about finding a doctor. My concern is expensive hospital stays and ObamaCare has improved that for payments.

"well tell that to the millions of Americans that totally and absolutely reject that dumb argument outright!" But it's true in every developed country.

"Has nothing to do with anything." But you are a multi millionaire ex-CEO. You brag about your credentials all the time.

"ONE state" No, Romney wanted it for the entire country. And ObamaCare mirrors NixonCare, which mirrors DoleCare. Sorry, Republican idea.

Why is Medicaid more reliable than private health insurance? Why is private health insurance so bad? I'm glad we see that Medicaid often works much better than private health insurance. Numbers prove it.

"Even as California's enrollment grows, many patients continue to complain about being offered fewer choices of doctors " How many doctors do you need? It just sounds like whiny patients. I don't need a millions doctors. I break my arm? Go to hospital. Get it wrapped up. Fixed. Get on with my life. Simple!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

"Finding a doctor who takes Obamacare " I'm not worried about finding a doctor.

If you think that, then what about the thousands that can't find a doctor? That's a bit selfish, wouldn't you say?

My concern is expensive hospital stays and ObamaCare has improved that for payments.

The way it's going, doesn't look like it and as a Californian, it's just getting worse. Most Doctors I know hate it and refuse to take it.

"Has nothing to do with anything." But you are a multi millionaire ex-CEO. You brag about your credentials all the time.

Jealous?

"ONE state" No, Romney wanted it for the entire country.

No, it was designed for one state, Romny NEVER wanted and knew full well that there wouldn't be enough money to fund that kind of a monstrous system unless you get about 8 million young people to help fund it by working and paying into the system. Studies show that people from the ages of 18 to 55 usually don't use so much healthcare. The system is a complete mess and wait until this president is out of office and the Cadillac tax kicks in, you will have a complete anarchy on your hands.

And ObamaCare mirrors NixonCare, which mirrors DoleCare. Sorry, Republican idea.

Has nothing to do with who's idea it was. The only thing I care about is, that they defund it sooner the better.

"Even as California's enrollment grows, many patients continue to complain about being offered fewer choices of doctors " How many doctors do you need?

As many as I want, I have the right to choose the doctor that suits me best, I don't want to choose from a selected plan and have limited options. That's abhorrent, un-American and taking MY rights away as an American citizen.

It just sounds like whiny patients.

Which they have EVERY right to be. Especially if they have to pay for it.

I don't need a millions doctors.

That's you, but maybe someone wants that choice and as Americans, they should have EVERY right to have that choice, if they so desire to find the doctor they feel comfortable with.

I break my arm? Go to hospital. Get it wrapped up. Fixed. Get on with my life. Simple!

No problems here, that's nothing major, but if I need a Kidney transplant, I want to choose the doctor, establish a rapport and feel safe and comfortable, have a connection and know I can trust the doctor. That to me is the MOST important thing when dealing with the medical profession.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

"If you think that, then what about the thousands that can't find a doctor? That's a bit selfish, wouldn't you say?" It's easy. Just go to a Clinic affiliated with a big hospital corporation. They even take Medicaid. The fact is more docs are working for big institutions rather than having their own private care. Why should I care about that? I can see a doctor fine.

"The way it's going, doesn't look like it and as a Californian, it's just getting worse. Most Doctors I know hate it and refuse to take it." I can find many clinics that take ObamaCare. I just get my ObamaCare card out and it's fine. The way it's going? The way it's going major hospital corporations' stock prices have trended up and last five years. Big hospitals like O-care. I know many doctors too. Some of them had to change the way they give practice. The heart surgeons I know make less money these days since there are more stents than open bybasses. In fact bypasses are expected to decrease even more. Noting to do with ObamaCare.

"Jealous?" No, but you admit you have 10s of millions of dollars.

"Has nothing to do with who's idea it was. The only thing I care about is, that they defund it sooner the better." How can they? It's a republican idea. Nixon, Dole, Romney. Even Gingrch. National Review promoted a mandate. But I'm fine if it's done state-by-state. As long as they all have mandates.

" I have the right to choose the doctor that suits me best, I don't want to choose from a selected plan and have limited options" What do you care? You are a multi-millionaire and you pay cash for your care. You can buy an entire hospital if you wanted to.

"but if I need a Kidney transplant," You with your millions would pay cash for that. What do you care? And organ transplants are a blind evaluation system. It's based on points and wealth or fame does not have a real influence on who gets organs. Again, this is done in a big hospital not in a clinic. Big hospitals like ObamaCare and ObamaCare pays for organ transplants. My surgeon friend says often his patients have Medicaid and he does heart transplants. He doesn't care what insurance his patients have.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

"If you think that, then what about the thousands that can't find a doctor? That's a bit selfish, wouldn't you say?"

I never said it wasn't. I was never against the system changing for those that DIDN'T have affordable healthcare and I think any sensible American thinks like that. The problem is there was absolutely NO reason for Obama and Gruber to Overhaul the ENTIRE healthcare system when millions of Americans that HAD quality healthcare had to have their policies changed, that's my complaint. Had Obama NOT done that, I would have applauded him.

It's easy. Just go to a Clinic affiliated with a big hospital corporation. They even take Medicaid. The fact is more docs are working for big institutions rather than having their own private care. Why should I care about that? I can see a doctor fine.

Everyone should be able to have a choice, especially if you CAN afford it.

I can find many clinics that take ObamaCare. I just get my ObamaCare card out and it's fine.

But NOT everyone has access to a clinic that offers that and NOT everyone can afford the rising cost of the premiums and as I said before, once that Cadillac tax kicks in the crap will really hit the fan and you will see a real revolt, but Obama will be gone by then and he doesn't have to worry about the repercussions that should fall in his lap for the lack of transparency.

That's absolutely BS. You can't get more liberal or out of control hippie dippy as California, except perhaps Vermont, but that is an all out lie! Of course, it has to do with Obamacare. You have more doctors that are not going into the practice because of the rising costs and the fact that it costs more and doctors have to put in more time and being compensated less.

It's a republican idea. Nixon, Dole, Romney. Even Gingrch.

You keep rambling, it doesn't matter who's idea it was. The fact is, the Republican idea was NEVER designed or the idea of it was to take care of the entire country with a mandate. You're making that up. No Republican would have supported it, Romney said so, but I keep forgetting, liberals have a different distorted view of reality.

National Review promoted a mandate. But I'm fine if it's done state-by-state. As long as they all have mandates.

National Review is not working in congress. I hope and pray that we get enough votes to defund it or gut a lot of the meaningless provisions in the greatly flawed policies.

You are a multi-millionaire and you pay cash for your care. You can buy an entire hospital if you wanted to.

That's beside the point. I care about the transparency or should I say, the lack of it from this admin. I hate that the so called affordable is for many, many middle class Americans is not at all that affordable. That's what I care about. If you cut a huge portion of the growing entitlements that are choking the system, STOP the spending, I know it's difficult for Liberals and Democrats to do that, but there are ways to allocate the money and use that to help fix the system and bring the cost down, way down.

You with your millions would pay cash for that. What do you care?

You want my taxes, so yeah, I do care and do have a say.

You're making an Apples and Oranges argument. Of course there are some that take Medicaid, but more and more hospitals are having huge issues with Obamacare and many are deciding to opt out of it and after the Cadillac tax kicks in, it's only going to get worse.

This seems plain and simple, but...!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

At the time of his birth, in Canada, Ted Cruz' dad was NOT a naturalized citizen of the USA. His mom is a "natural born" US Citizen, however. His Dad fought with Fidel Castro but then became disenchanted with what Castro was doing so he left for the US.

Cruz' Dad did not naturalize until 2005 after Cruz had already launched into his political career in Texas.

Being born in Canada and as Canada has the same birthright citizenship provision that the US has, Cruz for a time had dual citizenship status. But after his dual citizenship status was brought up by the Texas media in 2013, Cruz decided to formally renounce his status as a Canadian Citizen and did so.

After I moved to Nevada from Calif, used to tell I learned conversation from movie copying Ronald Reagan movies and Dem people used to lecture Reagan was Calif Governor, not actor. Did not know this state is Democratic state. Maybe some years later, this state people will tell Arnold was Governor, never actor?

If you say so. Personally, I think it's great you'd support the immigrant Rafael from a socialist country.

Cruz is not my first choice, I'm more of a Carson guy. Even as one of THE most prestigious minds in medicine, he even thinks Obamacare is a mistake and should be repealed. I agree. 15 more months and hopefully we can get this thing out of our lives as well as this socialist.

@zurc

Bi-racial blacks are called black in American, not half-white.

The only people in America that consider bi-racial people black or any other particular race are those that believe in the racist one-drop rule from back in the days of slavery. This is another case where Lefties that say they believe in science are instead stuck in the past ideologically. Follow the science.

40% of republicans think Obama is African, not American white or black. That is just pure racism.

100% of democrats think that Obama's Caucasian mother essentially never existed. Now that is racism.

Carson himself is a fake candidate, a token candidate so racist republicans can make the case that they are not racist. Carson will sink like a stone once elections start.

It is only those intolerant of black men that are considered off the Democrat plantation that are racist. The Left flat out dumped Hillary for the opportunity to make history by electing the first black president - the original token candidate. And we have seen the horrid results of the 7 year disaster caused by the affirmative action president. At least Carson is a world renowned brain surgeon. Obama was a unaccomplished two year junior senator with no distinguishing accomplishment to speak of.

Most republicans cannot accept a black President.

Let me help you with that. Conservatives cannot tolerate a Socialist president of any color (I refer you to Jimmy Carter).

@Wolfpack Follow the science.

I think most scientists of any sort will tell you there's no such thing as race. They'll say people have geographic characteristics that have been used by people to differentiate and discriminate.

Race and colour of individuals are in the eye of the beholder. Please don't try to say that you don't notice a person's skin colour. Please don't try to say that were you to see Obama on the street you'd just see an individual and not ascribe colour to him. If you do say that I'll say you're veracity challenged.

I understand what you are trying to say. The vast majority of the DNA in humans are very much the same. But is it not the case that racial characteristics are encoded in DNA? Skin and eye color, hair texture, etc. The genetic differences between people of different races exist whether you want to admit that or not. Genetic differences exist but they are also blurred in multi-racial children.

Race and colour of individuals are in the eye of the beholder.

If you believe in science it is in biology and not in what people have been conditioned to believe. Social conditioning like the idea that biologically male people can become biologically female is irrelevant to reality.

Please don't try to say that you don't notice a person's skin colour. Please don't try to say that were you to see Obama on the street you'd just see an individual and not ascribe colour to him. If you do say that I'll say you're veracity challenged.

Of course people notice skin color. But appearances can deceive if we allow ourselves to be deceived. Not all white male religiously devout Christians are conservatives. Your skin color test has you buying into the one-drop rule. Just because a person has light brown skin does not mean that they are black and only black. Denying that is to deny science and reality. Not only that but it validates the racist concepts of the past. A person that is 7/8th's white and 1/8th black is to be considered 100% black? That makes no sense. That is what I find that is so pathological about Obama. He knows he is bi-racial but will not accept it. It's as if he hates his mother and is rejecting her by rejecting her race.

@Wolfpack Your skin color test has you buying into the one-drop rule. & He knows he is bi-racial but will not accept it. It's as if he hates his mother and is rejecting her by rejecting her race

I'll quote you: 'that makes no sense'. Modus vivendi.

Please show some quotes that back up this hypothesis.
