Well, Elonia backed Donald.

Elonia backs far-right AfD member Weidel.

Meets with right-wing Argentine's President Javier Milei.

Has been in regular contact with Russian President Vladimir Putain,

Held livestream campaign events for presidential hopefuls Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis & Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

Met with Jair Bolsonaro another ultra-nationalist.

And the list continues.

Now take a wild guess ...... I'd say pot & kettle relationships!

Go President-elect Musk!

Show Trump he's a nobody - you're the real mover and shaker in MAGA-world...

And continue to tell those far-right "contemptible fools" like Laura Loomer and Steve Bannon that they're traitors to the MAGA cause and deserve to be ran out of the party...

https://fox5sandiego.com/news/musk-calls-some-maga-supporters-contemptible-fools-as-visa-row-intensifies/

You're doing just what MAGA-world wants - bringing in more immigrant "foreigners" to take American jobs and replace white American culture...

Long live King Elon the Great!

ROFL..

the last spark of hope for this country

One of the hallmarks of fascism is the idea that only one party or one person can save a nation. Thus Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer.

These tech bros are attracted to this kind of authoritarianism because they honestly believe "the smartest people" (i.e. tech bros and super rich people, the übermenschen) should run everything. As Peter Thiel wrote, "I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible.” Thiel is the money and ideology behind JD Vance, another ardent supporter of AfD.

4 ( +13 / -9 )

Musk really highlights the outright hypocrisy and self-contradictions of the MAGA movement...

They rail against illegal immigrants - yet revere Musk who overstayed his student visa and was an illegal immigrant himself...just like the ones they now want to round up and deport...

They firmly believe in the "Great Replacement Theory" that immigrants are "browning" American and replacing white culture - yet back Musk's plan to increase H1B visas which would allow more brown and black immigrants in...

But his greatest transgression, overlooked by the MAGA-faithful but not by their Great Orange Oracle, is Musk's talent for upstaging "The Boss" and making him look weak, small, and irrelevant...

Odds are Musk won't make it to inauguration day and will be "cast out" of MAGA-world...just like Mike Pence...

Maybe he'll run for President himself in 2028, with his chosen VP Vivek...in the new "TechBro" Party...

To understand Elon, you only need to see a comic strip from Viz. Americans might not be familiar with Viz; it's a satirical comic from the UK and the humour is aimed squarely at adults. One of their "one-off" characters was a guy who went around talking very loudly and trying to be as "edgy" and "controversial" as possible...while everyone fundamentally ignored him. The ultimate walking "Hot Take". That's Musk.

One of the hallmarks of fascism is the idea that only one party or one person can save a nation. Thus Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer.

*As someone who is half-German, I’ll tell you this, no one is thinking this in Germany, however, there is one party that will stand up and say what none of these politicians will say and that’s mass migration doesn’t work or help Germany, Islam as a whole is incompatible to the German way of life. *

These tech bros are attracted to this kind of authoritarianism because they honestly believe "the smartest people" (i.e. tech bros and super rich people, the übermenschen) should run everything.

No, but neither the SPD or CDU did anything to address the growing problems and divide that was growing in Germany with the Islam (Turkish and Moroccan primarily) and now it has gotten so out of control.

As Peter Thiel wrote, "I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible.” Thiel is the money and ideology behind JD Vance, another ardent supporter of AfD

People are free to support whomever they wish, the Dems supported a former Klansman, doesn’t mean you believe in their ideology, but support they did. As for Germany, it is a keg that will explode. I know from my own experience growing up the difficulties Islam has created in Germany. I have a lot of German-Turkish friends, they were born and raised there, they are by all accounts German, some are 3rd generation, they’re not seen as Ausländern. Not sure what Germany is going to do, the politicians won’t do anything about the issue (sounds familiar) so they are and many quietly and begrudgingly are putting their support to an organization that will deport many of these migrants. When the government puts its citizens last and takes a “well deal with this later attitude, something bad always happens, always in the end. If these people get into power, they will do what Hungary, Poland and to a lesser extent Denmark have been doing. Ask yourself this, would the Muslim world ever allow Christians to dominate it or push their ways, standards and traditions on its people? Would they allow mass numbers of Christians to move in and accepting? They want to keep and hold onto their beliefs and traditions, the Christian nations want and have the right to do the same.

Musk be like: my daddy knew how to run mines like you guys did.

No, he defines himself how he feels towards a situation in a country that is rooted in truth

Absolutely, the law is the law

They firmly believe in the "Great Replacement Theory" that immigrants are "browning" American and replacing white culture - yet back Musk's plan to increase H1B visas which would allow more brown and black immigrants in...

And this is the reason why so many minorities decided to back Trump because they themselves know they’re being replaced.

According to the left, but then again, no one thinks that in normal circles, but these were the people that swore up and down and without a doubt that he’s going to prison, so much for that false belief.

Odds are Musk won't make it to inauguration day and will be "cast out" of MAGA-world...just like Mike Pence...

Absurd, Musk will be there

Maybe he'll run for President himself in 2028, with his chosen VP Vivek...in the new "TechBro" Party...

That would be great.

bass,

what a surprise! Half German?

So how come you don't understand what parties like AfD and BSW stand for?

They attend far-right meetings, they stand for many things that those in 1933 also stood for, they do call for a "Germany for Germans only", they do deny the Holocaust, they do state "The political correctness belongs to the trash of history", "We should establish an SA and clean up" (Andreas Geithe, AfD), "The big problem is that Hitler is represented as the absolute evil" (Bjoern Hoecke, AfD), "Send the Antifa to Buchenwald" (Mirko Welsch, AfD)

and the list continues endlessly!

Who are you quoting there? I suspect Germans and those of immediate German ancestry care at least a whisker about whether russia can overrun them again.

The Tesla Motors CEO also wrote that his investment in Germany gave him the right to comment on the country's condition.

Interesting logic by Musk there.

Does he know the USGov has the power to confiscate the assets under asset forfeiture seizure of people who misrepresented their immigration status and worked illegally?

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/washington-post-reports-elon-musk-briefly-worked-illegally-us-1990s-2024-10-26/

As President Musk exerts his influence he is making a lot of enemies at home and abroad.

About 5.5 million followers of Islam live in Germany. Nearly 3 million of them are German citizens. Muslims account for about 6.6% of Germany's total.

The German Hospital Federation estimates that 5,000 Syrian doctors work in hospitals, and the Health Minister estimates that there are over 6,000.

Yes, this exactly the Musk/Thiel philosophy and it is called pro-natalism.

The AfD is built on the principles of Nazism.

5 ( +11 / -6 )

Musk:

“The portrayal of the AfD as right-wing extremist is clearly false, considering that Alice Weidel, the party’s leader, has a same-sex partner from Sri Lanka! Does that sound like Hitler to you? Please!”

You don't need to be Hitler to be right wing extremist. A party with people like Höcke simply is far right extremist. Weidel herself is "just" far right, cut the extremist.

Bass

. I have a lot of German-Turkish friends, they were born and raised there, they are by all accounts German, some are 3rd generation, they’re not seen as Ausländern.

If you're going to claim authority over what Germans think, as a half German, getting Ausländer right might help. No need for the dative case here.

As for Germany, it is a keg that will explode

It will not

When the government puts its citizens last

They are not.

Claims without evidence are simply not convincing. Musk the same, no insight, simplistic claims. He's free to say whatever he wants, but being rich doesn't give you special insight into politics. When even people from the right wing (center right if you prefer) Welt don't agree with Elon, that should tell you how much his comment is worth.

5 ( +11 / -6 )

what a surprise! Half German?

Problem??

So how come you don't understand what parties like AfD and BSW stand for?

I know what they stand for and I also know that the SPD and CDU are largely to blame for the AfD and BSW rise.

And? You’re missing the point, Germany is at a breaking point, I don’t believe in what these nuts believe in other than Germany will not go on in this fashion, they will have a civil war if the Islam issue is not addressed. Liberals outside can call it whatever they wish, I really couldn’t care less, but I do care that Germans have had enough and if the politicians in power don’t do something, the people will elect someone that will, Poland and Hungary understands this.

and the list continues endlessly

It should

If you're going to claim authority over what Germans think, as a half German, getting Ausländer right might help. No need for the dative case here.

You worry about you, but appreciate the sentiment

It will not

Yes, it and has in many spots

https://youtu.be/W7CPOfiXirM?si=GBP28MPCkwrZWmZ9

They are not.

They are.

https://youtu.be/eS90uDEbJDI?si=B4_U3k0MU0501GiK

Claims without evidence are simply not convincing.

I don’t make claims

Musk the same, no insight, simplistic claims. He's free to say whatever he wants, but being rich doesn't give you special insight into politics.

Musk does have proof, it’s right there, of course he can see and here and speak to people and works with people that know and deal with these issues, and the negative reporting globally won’t change that.

When even people from the right wing (center right if you prefer) Welt don't agree with Elon, that should tell you how much his comment is worth.

That depends on who we are talking about, a lot of people agree, Poland and Hungary do and Sweden is slowly shifting in that same direction, this current mess is unsustainable.

leading to the resignation of the paper’s opinion editor in protest.

Oh no, the "wrong" opinion was expressed on the newspaper! The media must control the narrative. If not, the people might actually get what they need and want.

Guess we are lucky that nothing bad has ever come from letting a prominent person demonise a particular group of people in Germany. Like, not once, ever.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

The media must control the narrative. If not, the people might actually get what they need and want.

Unlikely. Need? SPD-Greens coalition. No liberals (that's the FDP) They won't get that. Want? CDU. Mysteriously, but that's what they want. And will get in coalition with either the SPD or the greens. Or both

The AfD simply isn't needed and definitely not wanted. Far right Americans can claim the opposite as much as they want. In roughly 2 months at least 80% of voters will still vote for something other than the AfD.

Musk really highlights the outright hypocrisy and self-contradictions of the MAGA movement...

No, he defines himself how he feels towards a situation in a country that is rooted in truth

OK, so you agree with him that Loomer and Bannon are "fools". Bannon called Musk a "toddler" - true or a lie?

They rail against illegal immigrants - yet revere Musk who overstayed his student visa and was an illegal immigrant himself...just like the ones they now want to round up and deport...

Absolutely, the law is the law

Indeed - 34 felony convictions...

One more self-contradiction and self-own - Defends Musk bringing in more immigrants - at same time says bringing in more immigrants bad... LMAO...what a meltdown...

But his greatest transgression, overlooked by the MAGA-faithful but not by their Great Orange Oracle, is Musk's talent for upstaging "The Boss" and making him look weak, small, and irrelevant...

According to the left,

So you think Trump's now a leftist? More MAGA self-contradictions...

Odds are Musk won't make it to inauguration day and will be "cast out" of MAGA-world...just like Mike Pence...

Absurd, Musk will be there

Said the same thing about Pence, Bolton, Mattis, Kelly, Cohn, Tillertson, et al....ROFL...

Maybe he'll run for President himself in 2028, with his chosen VP Vivek...in the new "TechBro" Party...

That would be great.

Indeed - it would complete the split within the Repub Party and end MAGA-world....glad you're for it....

bass,

Guess you can't call a possible 18% of voters for AfD "the Germans", because that leaves out the other 82% who still know what has to be done.

And I didn't intend to offend you with my "half German" remark, being myself a German who has lived over here in Japan for the past 30+ years. So, yes, I am concerned and worried about what's going on, not just in "meiner alten Heimat" (my old homeland), but also worldwide! This trend, the pendulum swinging too far to the extreme right, is not what I wish upon anyone!

Guess you can't call a possible 18% of voters for AfD "the Germans", because that leaves out the other 82% who still know what has to be done.

Let’s put it to you like this, more people came out and voted for Trump than anyone expected including myself and look who voted for him overwhelmingly, minorities, also a lot of people who were silent or didn’t want to admit or talk about the person they were going to vote for.

And I didn't intend to offend you with my "half German" remark, being myself a German who has lived over here in Japan for the past 30+ years. Well, I don’t wish that either, BUT having said that, there’s no one else and the people will always gravitate to the most extreme when the chips are done, that’s just reality. This is why I blame the two largest parties in Germany, they are the reasons why the AfD and BSW are gaining strength.

“The portrayal of the AfD as right-wing extremist is clearly false, considering that Alice Weidel, the party’s leader, has a same-sex partner from Sri Lanka! Does that sound like Hitler to you? Please!”

Very well said, Elon.

So why exactly do they refer to the party as extreme far right? Is it just because the powers that be don't like them?

-4 ( +6 / -10 )

Wick's pencil,

you are aware that Weidel's "same sex partner" lives in Switzerland, right!

Take a wild guess why!!

Oh, and don't forget AfD "preaches" against same sex relationships!

All had some 90 years ago - same location, just a different party name!

Manifesto for Germany

The Political Programme of the Alternative for Germany.

https://www.afd.de/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/2017-04-12_afd-grundsatzprogramm-englisch_web.pdf

Elon Musk as a close ally of President Elect Donald Trump should not be interfering, influencing with a democratic free ballot of a European country.

I am a little mystified as to why any German citizen with their head on the right way up would spare a moments thought attention to Elon Musk political lending in the first place.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

The German government is not amused by Musk's inflammatory meddling in their sand pit and neither will Starmer's lot when he teams up with Farage. Bored businessman Musk just can't help putting his spanner in the other people's works. The infantile Musk & cognitively questionable 47 will surely be a clown show ending in "another fine mess".

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Musk is meddling in the elections of other countries.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

The people of Europe, France, Germany, UK, Holland etc are utterly fed up with an incompetent "liberal" elite, that has failed them time and again.

There economies, immigration, law and order, health care, education, national security you name it.

Elon Musk political thoughts are irrelevant.

The pledges promises, the utter betrayal of the people of Ukraine to tyrant of Russia Putin.

Le Pen, Nigel Farage, Alice Weidel Afd are offering a complete change of direction, at the very least read the manifesto before make up your own minds.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Europe trusts centre ground political thinking, not ever returning to a despot past of 1930s national socialist tyranny anarchy.

Is Le Pen, Nigel Farage, Alice Weidel Afd " really main stream? No yet at least, populism has a long way to go.

Personally I would start from this fact.

Le Pen, Nigel Farage, Alice Weidel Afd are unlikely to form governments soon, electoral systems, tactical voting will see to that.
