“The Trump campaign's attitude was that the president was not contagious anymore, but we’re going to go with our medical advisers,"

Not contagious anymore? Who knows what to believe especially after Trump and his doctors have misled the public so many times.

Yet another example of Trump's shaky, faith based reasoning v. that of the scientific medical community. Trump and his followers believe what's posted on Qanon, what's been posted by US and 'foreign' troll armies, what televangelists say from their studio pulpits, and even what's been channelled by Ramtha the 35,000 year old man.

Trump is nutter

A mute button? Trump needs to be fitted with a muzzle.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

So, we're going to have (in a one hour debate), approximately two minutes of intro, and two minutes of outro. We'll also grant the moderator approximately five minutes total where both candidates should be on mute as she introduces the questions, and then approximately 24 minutes where one candidate will be muted.

This makes about 33 minutes where civility and decorum might actually be theoretically possible. The other 27 minutes, expect to see Donald Trump going off like a bottle of Diet Coke someone dropped a pack of Mentos into.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

The election is over as far as I am concerned, look like Biden will be the next President, you Trump supporters should spend you time and energy, repairing your family ties, than supporting a loser Trump campaign

It about the Covid stupid Republican

...expect to see Donald Trump going off like a bottle of Diet Coke someone dropped a pack of Mentos into.

Whatever he actually says or does, however good or bad it is, we can also expect the usual stream of sycophancy afterwards from the usual cheerleaders - "wiped the floor with Biden... hit it out of the park... aced the debate.... Trump-Pence landslide... one of the prettiest politicians ever to rise to high office in this country... I want to have his babies..." etc etc.

6 ( +11 / -5 )

one of the prettiest politicians ever to rise to high office in this country... I want to have his babies..." etc etc.

Did someone actually say this, or are you making this up? Show me the source. If it’s true, then that’s messed up.

Anyway, it would be nice if we could hear clear policy views from both candidates. No personal insults from anybody. And last of all, let’s hope the moderator will be less of a figurehead this time.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

For what comes out of his dirty mouth, dunce Trump should be muted. As Biden said,"Americans don't panic,Trump panicked." Because the fool doesn't listen.

I've been trying hard to imagine just what Trump could say or project at this last debate that could possibly turn those who are still "undecided" in his favor. I can't.

Of course it's not true. I borrowed it from Peter Cook and Rowan Atkinson actually, but it's no less ridiculous than some of the nauseating stuff that Trump supporters do come out with. Otherwise, you wouldn't have had to ask if I'd made it up - it would have been obvious straight away.

5 ( +10 / -5 )

Mute button? Check

Plexiglass? Check

Kevlar diapers?

4 ( +6 / -2 )

What a waste of time... this election is already decided, don't even bother to donate to your candidate anymore.

Even if you could he probably won't say anything like it. I don't think even many of his diehard supporters like him for the deranged, rambling stream of self-aggrandizement, fantasy, lies, accusations and repetition that comes out of his mouth. However some it resembles a lot of their online comments quite closely.

2 ( +8 / -6 )

You know who is “inside the final 2020 debate”?

Tony Bobulinski, he’s inside it.

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

Safety precautions. How ridiculous to listen to the experts. Trump’s protected anyway. No chance he ever contracts COVID-19.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

I suspect they'll use the mute button to prevent him from bringing up all the dirt (Hunter's PC, Clinton's E-mails,....) that recently came up on the Dems, but which the MSM and social media are censoring.

Spot on.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Mute button?

lol, do they really think that's going to work? Trump will just rant and scream and shout to be heard.

What a farce, thank goodness only a few more weeks left of this presidency

1 ( +6 / -5 )

You know Tony will have a press conference sometime before the actual debate right?

Of course it's not true. I borrowed it from Peter Cook and Rowan Atkinson

These Trump supporters have never heard of Cook/Atkinson, let alone know their famous lines. Quoting stuff like this just gets them all riled up, which is amusing in itself.

One poster used Ali G's famous line "Is it coz I'm black" yesterday, which immediately provoked fury among the crackpots, who took it seriously. The moderators, who clearly didn't know it either, deleted all the comments. Lol, as people used to say.

5 ( +10 / -5 )

Tony Bobulinski isn’t on the Ballot. Neither is Hunter Biden.

This election is a referendum on 4 years of Trump.

221k+ dead Americans in 10 months. 11 million unemployed. An economy that is about to double-dip into recession.

These are the issues. Trump has no answers.

1 ( +7 / -6 )

Of course it's not true. I borrowed it from Peter Cook and Rowan Atkinson actually, but it's no less ridiculous than some of the nauseating stuff that Trump supporters do come out with.

Sounds to me like the unhinged stuff certain people continue to say about Trump and his supporters with zero substance to back it up. So it’s just fluff then. Great!

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

The images keep running through my head, already. The mute button will go on. Trump will keep on talking, and his ranting and raving with no sound will be too good...his unhinged and crazy mad expressions making stuff memes live for.

Or at least SNL and Alec Baldwin should have a lot of fun, with this one. I'm pretty sure SNL's going to be even funnier than the debate itself, but there's a lot of competition.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

Sounds to me like the unhinged stuff certain people continue to say about Trump

Dude, Trump is the source of the unhinged stuff.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

221k+ dead Americans in 10 months. 11 million unemployed. An economy that is about to double-dip into recession.

No, those are not the issues no matter how much Trump haters try to claim it is. The issues are illegal immigration, products not being made in the USA, smaller government vs. bigger government; lower taxes, the green new deal, socialism vs. free market capitalism; 1st and 2nd amendments; unfair trade deals; protecting the border; crime and the dems failures in every city they run. As a voter, I realize Trump could have done better with the virus, but to assume that everything in discussion before March is now obsolete is crazy. Dems seems to only care about coronavirus. Hell, Nancy has weaponized it and is trying to make a policy issue. Dems think, with good reason, that their constituents are stupid enough to run around like the sky is falling over coronavirus and forget about their sinister plans beforehand. Joe talks about absolutely nothing except higher taxes and mask mandates because that’s all he’s got. And that’s not enough for me.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

the Trump campaign opposed the use of plexiglass for Thursday's event, just as they did ahead of the vice presidential debate earlier this month.

The plexiglass is a visual reminder that Covid-19 is still with us. The Trump campaign would like us to believe it's in the past because it makes their boss look bad.

Expect to hear lots of deflections and distractions from Trump, bringing up fictions about socialism, banning the suburbs and fossil fuels and red meat, doubling taxes, Hunter Biden, rigged election, dishonest media, greatest and most persecuted POTUS in history, etc.

Unless Biden really screws up, Trump is going to come out of this looking even worse than now.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

dont worry, Fauci approved to remove the plexiglass.

UPDATE: The debate commission has removed the plexiglass barriers after their medical advisors (1) learned Trump and Biden tested negative for COVID today and (2) consulted w Dr. Fauci.

The medical team changed its recommendation, per CPD, and both campaigns have agreed.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

I suspect they'll use the mute button to prevent him from bringing up all the dirt (Hunter's PC, Clinton's E-mails,....) that recently came up on the Dems, but which the MSM and social media are censoring.

Oh yeah, the huge cover up which apparently is so secret that everyone knows about it. And isn’t allowed to be mentioned on any form of media, well except those where it is.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

I hope Trump will mention 50 Cent and that 50’s officially supporting Trump (who knew 50 Cent was a redneck white supremacist—I know right). And then Trump should call Biden a wangster.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

I hope Trump will mention 50 Cent and that 50’s officially supporting Trump (who knew 50 Cent was a redneck white supremacist—I know right). And then Trump should call Biden a wangster.

I hope Biden will mention Putin, and that Putin is officially supporting Trump (who knew Putin was a redneck white supremecist - I know right!). And then Biden should point out Trump's treason.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

actually 95% of Americans likely know nothing about this due to the liberal media not covering it and social media censoring it.

The liberal media didnt even attend the news conference that was just held.

an actual whistleblower with a name, ex military, registered Democrat, has texts and emails and phones.

CNN.com: Your search for Bobulinski did not match any documents.

try that search yourself.

that everyone knows about it.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

The idea of making Biden into a socialist is laughable everywhere except the Faux news bubble.

For the rest of America, COVID and Trump’s utter failure are issues 1-3.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

I'm looking foward to this debate. I've got my popcorn all ready.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

actually 95% of Americans likely know nothing about this due to the liberal media not covering it and social media censoring it.

Whoa, sounds salacious! It sounds like there are people conspiring! At least, your team has a theory that people are conspiring. I mean, you could almost call it a conspiracy theory!

Of course, it can't just be a theory, you guys have never been suckered into a conspiracy theory before. You aren't so stupid as to be sucked into literally every conspiracy you come across. I mean, only the stupidest human beings on the planet would be sucked into conspiracy theories like behngahzi, emails, the president being born in Kenya etc. This one MUST be real, because otherwise it would mean your amongst the group of the stupidest humans on this planet! Not your team, say it ain't so!

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Yeah, and your team hasn't been so stupid as to fall for Russian disinformation ever, right?

Give me all of the proof you can here as a non-American on the outside looking in. Do study about Biden's buddies Thurmond and Byrd while you continue to study about U.S. politics.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

I don't think I have the stomach to watch it. I'm sick to death of watching and listening to Trump and this whole Trump nightmare.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Biden needn’t really say anything at this point. Just need to put trump in a room, and give him enough rope. Ask Rudy, he knows all about it.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Biden needn’t really say anything at this point.

That’s the problem and why I probably won’t vote for Biden: he hasn’t said anything at all up to this point.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

That’s the problem and why I probably won’t vote for Biden:

After years of your hyper partisanship it’s silly that you think we’d believe there is any reason other than hyper partisanship as your reason for not voting Biden.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

No, those are not the issues no matter how much Trump haters try to claim it is.

They are, actually. The virus, mass unemployment and a cratered economy don't just go away because you don't like them.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

And unlike trump, Biden has actually laid out his policy (requires the intelligence to do a “search” on the “internet”)

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Mr. NoidallToday  08:41 am JST

Sounds to me like the unhinged stuff certain people continue to say about Trump and his supporters with zero substance to back it up. So it’s just fluff then. Great!

Including the stuff I didn't lift from the biased judge sketch and Blackadder?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Joe Biden is mopping up the floor with Trump!

1 ( +2 / -1 )

The fumbling, bumbling, whining, liar that can't string two complete sentences together that walked out of the 60 Minutes interview in humiliation has showed up again on the debate stage tonight...

I mean Trump was incoherent enough - then they filed him with a cocktail of drugs that sent him off the mental cliff...

It's unfortunate tonight for Trump that we have a female Moderator - you know what that means, some juvenile misogynistic remark and then he'll storm off stage like a two-year old...

2 ( +3 / -1 )

The issues are illegal immigration,

What would Chief Sitting Bull say?

products not being made in the USA,

Thank the Gipper for that one. If you want to go isolationist, can you take all your aggressively marketed garbage back?

smaller government vs. bigger government;

Trump's properties aren't complaining about government largesse. Nor are his family.

socialism...

I love it when trailer park residents (for example) rail against public healthcare.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Ha ha, Trump is really grasping at straws here, throwing punches that are missing by a mile.

He is a loser, just like all his low-education supporters.
