white man accused of punching a black protester in the face during a rally in North Carolina for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump

The face of Donald J. Trump's racist fans. 100% of David Duke's Holocaust Deniers agree! What a country!

Oh boy, this is complicated. We got violence, free speech vs the hecklers veto vs incitement all mixed in here.

it is not ok to punch someone because you do not like them, what they stand for, what they say, or the color of their skin, or if they like Cheerios or not. Sheriff Earl “Moose” Butler is right. The attack is cowardly and unprovoked, and McGraw should be both ashamed of himself and be held criminally accountable.

Anyone who doesn't get that a dangerous crank, worthy of nothing but scorn.

Trump has every right to hold a rally, and say terrible things about immigrants, Obama, "Little Marco," the size of his hands, or the Queen of England. Free speech. AIn't it a b(*&thc.

The Heckler's Veto. People do not have the right to create disturbances that prevent Trump from exercising his right to speak 'offensive" things and be heard. This is the tough one for many. But its the law. And a good one at that.

Still, Trump's “I’d like to punch him in the face” is incitement to violence. And can't do it. At this point, with the pattern now that some in his crowd will take his words and act on them, he can't do it.

A parody of John Boehner's famous quote: "If you vote Trump, the racist's win."

What a bunch of jackasses. Too bad the GOP/Tea loves it's hatred so much. Most Americans don't deserve Trump's promotion of the America Land of the Bigot and Home of the Coward. But it does sell a lot of hats and tee-shirts and that's what a good haberdasher is supposed to do.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Go easy on the haberdasher punching. Truman was a haberdasher...

:)

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Oh god! Poor Mr. Truman.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Trump is not a racist! Unless you can find an interview or othe proof of that stop the desperate childish reach for something polarizing kc!

kc, If you actually take the time to research both political parties in US you may find the racists are not who you think.

Thank Obama for increased racial tensions. His comments and policies have done nothing to unite the nation.

-17 ( +5 / -22 )

Quick question: How many other rallies from other GOP/Tea candidates have the taint of racial violence? Some, all or none?

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Strangerland

Well, he certainly plays one on TV.....

0 ( +4 / -4 )

The guy who was arrested gave a comment. Next time,,, he will kill. He was arrested next day after video showed victim was arrested on floor.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

It is more important to recognize what in fact brings Neo-Nazis and the assorted racial hatred gangs to Trump's rallies.

It well might be Holocaust Denier David Duke's promotion of Trump's campaign.

It may well be Trump's religious prejudice, ("Islam hates America").

It might well be the demand to deport eleven million Mexicans. (More than Stalin's expulsions.)

Not thinking is the gate way to violence.

Trump's appeal is to the unthinking hatred fertilized by the likes of Holocaust Denier David Duke. (Whom Trump has not yet categorically condemned. "Disavow" is not condemnation.)

“You bet I liked it,” McGraw, wearing a cowboy hat, told the reporter. “Knocking hell out of that big mouth. We don’t know who he is, but we know he’s not acting like an American.”

The reporter asked McGraw if he deserved it and the 78-year-old responded, “every bit of it.”

McGraw added, “Yes he deserved it. The next time we see him, we might have to kill him. We don’t know who he is, he might be with a terrorist organization.”

“Number one, we don’t know if he’s ISIS,” McGraw said

Where have all the good racists gone, long time passing.

Where have all the racists gone, long time ago?

Gone to a Trump rally, gone with their hate for everyone. (ect. from some old song they once sang when Vietnam was the shame of all Americans.)

Obviously, this is no longer a question of a political nature.

It has become a purely moral question of right and wrong and Trump has put the GOP/Tea in the center of that. Well done Mr. Trump. What shall the GOP/Tea do?

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Really loving the high energy. Still can't stump Trump.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

kcjapan

Funny ain't it. Racists know that their racism is frowned upon, and so can't admit they are racists. And play all kind of word games with the word.

Trump is a kind of self help movement for racists.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

The sheriff’s office said it would conduct an internal investigation, adding that the deputies accompanying Jones did not see the assault.

US Southern justice at its worst. While the deputies were escorting the man out - in my opinion he should have been escorted out - the man gets sucker punched by a white thug, and the deputies didn't see the assault? The hideous history of racism in the US, and especially in the US south, remains alive and could be seeing an ugly upswing given Trump's clarion calls to the bigoted elements of the WASP communities. These communities are usually heavily armed, making them a scary force. Remember, among the many US domestic terrorists groups are white supremacists and other ultra-right factions. And Trump's gaining support from them.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Missed opportunity . . .

Where have all the good racists gone, long time passing.

Where have all the racists gone, long time ago?

Gone to a Trump rally, gone with their hate for every one.

Oh, when will they ever learn?

Oh when will they ever learn?

Japan Today has to again be complimented as their careful tolerance has given the voice of Trump supporters fair play and fair hearing.

That's not easy given the gut turning racism some post so proudly, some who even claim service to the military. (That has been particularly hurtful here.)

What the reader has is a marvelous experience with the absolute ignorance of these operatives.

Too bad it reflects so harmfully on Americans.

The truth hurts, but, it is so sad then the innocent pay the price for the hatred mistaken as valid political comment.

Hating people for their skin color, religion or knowledge isn't political, it only confirms the depth of irrational fear Trump has demanded. It is still amazing this bigot administers "loyalty oaths" at his demented rallies.

The brave Americans are those who protest.

Racism has no friend greater than silence and no greater enforcer than fear. Trump has placed himself on the top of that podium and the world wretches.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Stranger

Well, there are racists and there are racists. Most Americans have some to a lot of messed up notions in our heads about race. Some think that makes you a racist. I don't. I think that makes you human.

Other's hold the idea-- popular in the black community -- that racism is a sliding scale, from a Saint on one end, to Adolf Hitler on the other, and almost most of us fall somewhere in between.

I prefer things more simply: racism is the belief that 1) human sub-groups can be classified as 'races', 2) there is an immutable genetic bases to 'race,' and 3) some races -- usually the ones they think they belong to -- are superior, better, smarter, whatever, than others.

Regardless, in America, racism really can't be separated from White Supremacy. And that is the problem in America. White supremacy.

IMO, white supremacy is the belief that white people are better, that America is a white country, that non-whites are not Real Americans, and that all the goodies the continent has to offer should go to white people.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Amen Black Sabbath.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

......adding that the deputies accompanying Jones did not see the assault.

That in itself says a lot.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

One comment on so called white supremacy.

This idea is a construct. In other words it must be taught and reinforced. What Trump is doing is providing the platform for the re-teaching in a public forum of his personal beliefs.

Please take one moment to consider this. No one would deliberately encourage the myriad prejudices Trump has done. Obviously they would use a shield of some kind if they had any sense.

Trump's danger is his is spreading racism in a network of the invisible empire of his cohort who can then use Trump's public demands for prejudice as a personal justification for themselves and those who agree with them. (see: Ku Klux Klan)

While the analysis is a good one it must be applied in the public theater of "politics" Trump has created. This is no accident. Had any other individual sponsored the 'hate the Muslim' or 'hate the Mexican' rallies of Trump it would be clearly what the Americans call a "hate crime".

The concern to Americans, and their perception by a wider world, is 'how can Trump urge hate and remain unaccountable personally'?

Where have all the brave racists gone? How can they answer the obvious cancer Trump has metastasized into the body politic? It is insulting to all Americans and it is perplexing how the RNC has slept walked through ten monthes of Trump's bigotry.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

As a person from NC, this is no surprise. Ignorance and racism are alive and well in NC. Sad...

4 ( +6 / -2 )

kc, If you actually take the time to research both political parties in US you may find the racists are not who you think.

Yeah, I took the time to research both political parties in the US and the racists are the ones in the GOP.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

The most shocking part of this video to me: the punch happens right in the FACE of TWO cops. The cops walk right by and barely LOOK at the guy who threw the punch.

How is that not the story? "Cops look on as Trump supporter sucker punches protestor, then tackle the PROTESTOR". It suggests the cops are not there to support the rule of law. They're there to support Trump.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Yeah, I took the time to research both political parties in the US and the racists are the ones in the GOP.

Not if you ask them. They have decided that being called out on their racism means that those who are calling them out on it are racists. "Anti-white racism". Just ask Wc3PO.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

People will stop calling Trump a racist when he stops using racially motivated speeches.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Please consider the roll the Republican National Committee has played in this pointless drama of Donald J. Trump.

Had Reinhold Richard "Reince" Priebus, American attorney and politician, Chairman of the Republican National Committee issued strong and responsible comment on racism and the Republican Party none of this would have so effectively shamed the GOP/Tea and the American People.

As it is, the RNC has never admonished or censured Donald J. Trump's racist and prejudiced appeals.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Cops were escorting five protesters when this guy gave punch to one of them. The victim was put on floor and rolling and was arrested. Too many videos. Supporting or protesting, people may be mistaken as ISIS in political rally.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

This guy's only part of the Republican party base. The other part are millionaires and billionaires who manipulated people like him for their own selfish reasons and now have lost control.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Supporting or protesting, people may be mistaken as ISIS in political rally. - comments

Excellent example of fear mongering conclusion.

"Sit down, shut up and let the racists hate on Muslims, Mexicans and Americans who object to Trump's racism and his Neo-Nazi supporters."?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

On the bright side:

White racists who enjoy “every bit of" “knocking hell out of... big mouth (blacks)" who don't act "deserve it" 'cause they "don't act like an American,” and" just be with a terrorist organization," is just the kind of thing to drive blacks to the polls.

Add that to Trump's baiting Mexicans with his talk about deporting 11 million people, most of them criminals and racists, and building a big beautiful wall on the Mexican border, in a Clinton-Trump race, Trump might be lucky to get 15% of the Latino vote

The autopsy report commissioned by RNC chairman Reince Priebus after the Republicans' 2012 loss said that to win the White House, Republicans need 40% of the Latino vote.

Good luck with that.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

"If you actually take the time to research both political parties in US you may find the racists are not who you think."

Endorsements from the KKK, Nazis and the French National Front.

What do you think they see? What possible reason do you think they have for endorsing Trump? Whatever your view of Trump, you must admit there must be something he's saying which attracts these rodents.

You can't think of anything?

What a big man sucker punching someone. Lucky he's not in Australia, king-hitting is a known coward move and is punished incredibly harshly. Is there a tendency among Trump supporters to be cowards and weak?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

What's the big fuss? - comments

Exactly!

When at a Trump loyalty rally some simple rules can be followed to better enjoy the experience and let the whole know what you stand for.

First, wear an ole' tyme Nazi insignia.

Second, look for dark skin color.

Third, be sure to swing an elbow into their nose when Trump chants "Get Him Out of Here!"

Fourth, High five your racist buddy who drove you there because your drink drive conviction robbed you of the right to operate a motor vehicle and getting stopped might get the cops interested in your previous crystal meth conviction.

Finally, enjoy a celebratory whiskey from your Totenkopf flask and know you are confirming what Trump has worked so hard for his whole life to provide you with the opportunity for. If you served in the US Military be sure to write about it on Das Stormer.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

WC What's the big fuss? His assailant was 78 years old. Can't take a blow from an old geezer?

WC, if your purpose in writing racist and idiotic statements is to bring shame to your fellow US Department of Defense employees present and past, you're succeeding.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Trump has the support of some who have bravely written on public forums about their early twenties in the US Military, their employment in various Federal Agencies and their incessant blaming of people based on race, religion and education.

Luckily, Trump continues to validate racial, religious and even gender based prejudice. If Trump hadn't made the personal sacrifice in draft dodging to spend other people's money to achieve this, these brave self reporting "Americans" would have had to spend the whole winter in some dung heap of a racist bar hating President Obama because Trump said the President was a Kenyan.

The world should thank Mr. Trump as he gave otherwise unemployed degenerates something to show the world what Americans are all about. Why isn't anyone thanking Mr. Trump and his Neo-Nazi Ken and Klaus Barbies?

1 ( +3 / -2 )

The five people who were escorted out had hands up and they were not behaving. The old man must be irritated. People who don't like rally should just stay away, especially they are not judo or karate expert.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

blaming of people based on race, religion and education.

You're the one who is blaming by saying: Where have all the good racists gone, gone to the Trump rally with the hate for everyone.

That ain't hate. That's Luuuuuv-

People who don't like rally should just stay away

Exactly. The Black thugs provoked the entire incident. Again, would Kramer go on Soul Train or BET event? No, he'd stay away or get a beat down.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Quick note: The best part of a Trump rally? Everyone gets their picture taken with the guy they beat up.

One of the most shocking revelations from the Trump experience has been the few posters who are the most limited in intellectual ability and competence are the most strident in their support of Trump's racism and prejudice. (Of course that exactly matches Trump's demographic.)

One of the most anguishing revelations? The ones who claim service in the United States Military. That has been so anger making it was the subject of some vigorous complaint.

Any Veteran who hates America so much as to publically post support of Trump's racist goals needs specialized care because they are harming the integrity of American Service Personnel by associating them with racial and religious prejudice.

Final conclusion, these few should be so deeply ashamed it can only be hoped they can be helped before they do any further damage to anyone's impression of the sacrifice and dignity of those who faithfully serve and respect the American Ideals of the United States Military, their Officers and Service Members. Just horrific.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

@Wc Where have all the good racists gone

Given the number of racist posts published on this site by people crowing about their military service, it's clear that many are here in Japan bringing shame to their country's various departments of defense.

T's poll numbers are up up again Protested Convention will benefit Trump, media opinions. The dr. Carsen announced he support T.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

How dare some black protesters have criticized Trump as racist? Calling Trump is a racist means calling Pope is not a Christian. Before the US civil war, North Carolina residents fiercely resisted for abolishing the slavery system. Abraham Lincoln who unified North and South went ahead for ripping off the slavery system and saved many black people from second class citizens.

Although Donald Trump will never be great like Lincoln, he will do his best for saving African Americans and Latino residents from 21 st century style slavery. He will improve their lives. He will unify the USA and abolish the unfair trade agreements which made the sky rocketing unemployment rate.

There is no doubt that Trump will be one of the greatest president of 21st century. He will make USA great again. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson will smile from heaven.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Punch a guy in the face who is being escorted out by police. The culture of Trump supporters.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

American entertainment at its best and live. Trump is Trump, though contradictory at times but not double-faced; that's why so many Americans are voting him. Many Americans are "Trump", but without the courage to say those things, and not as successful.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Quick note:

Impersonating United States Military Personnel for rhetorical purposes at Trump Loyalty Rallies or public forums is obscene.

Too many have paid too high a price for that distinction.

The very fact some cannot admit this simple point of respect is astonishing. Secondly they are proving they never served their country as they never learned the meaning of its most highly valued principles. The are a sham exactly like their fraudulent Donald J. Trump who never served his country and now revels in racial prejudice and religious bigotry.

These are imposters who do not represent America and never have. They do not represent the honor and integrity of the United States Military. Their prejudice should not be advertised along with their pretended service. Shame on them.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Rubio create lies on Trump. Then Cruz amend and spread TRump percent go up.

R said to vote Hillaton in prime is same as vote to Trump and Cruz changed to voting Trump is same as recommending Hillary as President in Vegas last year.

There are. Bunch of funny lies Cruz had to change. Result Trump became top.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

though contradictory at times but not double-faced;

Do you mean like when he says something and later denies having said it? Or when he claims the media misconstrued what he said, even though he was clearly shown to have said it?

His background as a star of the MSM has enabled him to get more free publicity than any candidate in history. His years as a marketer of schlock (steaks, vodka, shoddily built condos, ripoff casinos, etc.) has made him fully understand the value of PT Barnum's 'There's a sucker born every minute.' He's got his suckers following him and even got some so riled up they're throwing sucker punches for him. Attila the Drumpf. Promising his sheeple to take the US back in time to a mythical past that never was.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Another way of looking at it is, why was he being escorted out?

Why go into the Lion's den, flip the middle-finger at everyone and disrupt a lawful gathering and not expect to come out without a scratch?

Well you know, because assault is illegal and all that. And because a proper presidential candidate would strongly condemn any assault at one of their rallies, no matter what the reason.

So the answer to your question shows just how much of a disaster Trump and his Trumpets are.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Do any racists vote Democrat?

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Do any racists vote Democrat?

Probably. But they aren't the leaders.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Doesn't Trump realize that protesting peacefully is legal? Whatever happened to the right of free speech and demonstration? I guess if Trump is elected, he would punch the face and arrest all who don't agree with his beliefs. So much for freedom in the U.S of A! As long as you nod your head in agreement with what he says and pays him nice sums of donations, he'll won't violently attack you.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Trump on Thursday appeared to try to appear more presidential, something he has pledged often in the past to do so but never has.

Because openly racist and bigoted jackasses have the good sense to hide their stupidity from public view. But, then again, what does a one time Casino Owner who lost his shirt in a dollar printing factory know about anything?

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

I know its pretty serious but it reminds me of the 'Plebs" episode (British comedy) where the young lad is beaten up by a 79yo dude in front of the girl he fancies. How uncool is that!

As his mate told him later, 'the only thing more un-cool than getting roughed up by a bloke 50 years older than you is actually being the attacker". (which he was later in this episode still in front of his appalled gf).

But yeah THIS is serious.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Endorsements from the KKK, Nazis and the French National Front.

and? So what?

What do you think they see?

It doesn't matter what they see or think. These people are idiots and Trump doesn't need to worry or waste time with these loons. I don't blame him for ignoring them, he should.

What possible reason do you think they have for endorsing Trump?

Could Trump maybe convey his message a little better to not give the false impression, I'm not sure, that would depend on what and how the person views his words.

Whatever your view of Trump, you must admit there must be something he's saying which attracts these rodents.

I don't see that much of a difference between progressives and the Klan to be honest, with the huge exception that the Klan did kill people, but the verbal rhetoric is not all that much different. One group hates minorities and the other hates Whites.

Probably. But they aren't the leaders.

Obama.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

I don't see that much of a difference between progressives and the Klan to be honest, with the huge exception that the Klan did kill people, but the verbal rhetoric is not all that much different. One group hates minorities and the other hates Whites.

Ridiculous. I'm a progressive, and I most definitely don't hate whites. Don't try to attribute racism to everyone just because your anointed one is a racist supported by racists.

Once again you're trying to paint the other side as having problems too, so you don't have to feel alone in supporting a side that is broken and imploding upon itself.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Only the security and law enforcement should be allowed to remove protesters period. This jerk went out of the way from the other side of the arena to give that guy a sucker punch. Well deserved arrest.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I don't see that much of a difference between progressives and the Klan to be honest

with the huge exception that the Klan did kill people

????? Is it a big difference or not?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Most telling is that Trump, despite supposedly calling for no violence against hecklers, in the next sentence promised to pay the legal fees of any of his Brownshirts that did.

Fascism is alive and well at Trump rallies.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Because I think progressively, and everything I say is progressive.

So then that means, its just another accusation.

When you say racist things, and do racist actions, yes, I will state the fact that you are a racist (I'm not painting anything, I'm pointing out fact). That's how things work.

I'm a racist? LOL. Couldn't be further from the truth.

Well I only have his own comments and actions.

Which you know is everything.

I think Trump is a lot of things, but racist? Naw! Now Obama on the other hand.....

Once again you're trying to pretend that the other side has problems even remotely close to your side, so that you don't feel alone in supporting morons.

Naw, just pointing out the truth, dude.

No, they don't. One side has serious problems, like disagreements on each others' penis sizes.

So that problem with Bill wasn't about.....well...ROFL

The other side discusses issues. Not even comparable.

If you call backstabbing, swindling, cheating, subverting, lying, scheming, dishonesty talking, well then you are right, the Dems do these definitely better.

Sorry, but as much as you would like to pretend that the democrats have problems even remotely resembling the imploding party on the right, reality says otherwise.

Not pretending and when you have a prominent progressive like Van Jones that will even admit to that, there is absolutely no other way to put it, unless anyone wants to keep their heads in the sand, but the Dems didn't see the writing on the wall in 2010, 2014 and didn't see Trump rising or even Sanders to the level that they are at.

If you ever stuck your head out of the bubble, you'd see that too.

I would NEVER frequent the liberal Unicornverse so that wouldn't happen and wouldn't need to worry about it.

Moderator: Sorry but you and strangerland will not be permitted to address each other, since both of you just bicker.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It's very unfair the way this young black man was treated at the Trump rally. But I cannot help thinking what the would would be like if Trump was elected president of the US. Hilary has received too much money from the 1 percent mega rich. Trump, being a billionaire and financing his own presidential campagn, might well be a better president than her.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

being a billionaire and financing his own presidential campagn, might well be a better president than her.

Why? Please tell me you're not making the argument that he's too rich to be bought or traded, that all of a sudden when he enters the White House he's going to actually stop trying to accumulate even more personal wealth, that for the first time in his life he's going to show compassion and concern for people of all races, religions and colours, those not in his 1% of the 1% class, those that he's looked down on all his life.

I'd encourage you to look up how he's actually financing his campaign; he is taking contributions.

I don't like HRC, but at least she's, in the words of Donald Rumsfeld, one of the 21st century's most evil men, a known known. Though Trump is a well-known WASP establishment nabob, as a politician he's an unknown unknown, and a potentially frightening one at that. Bernie!

1 ( +3 / -2 )

If I were to go to protest and not support by heckling and jeering then I would expect to receive a few thumps at least. Jones was in the wrong place, an in my opinion got off lightly !

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

The whole arena cheered as I was being escorted out and even more so after I got hit

Leftists who go to a meeting like this looking for trouble, then whine like little girls when they find it. Trying to muster up some pity for the "victim", but just can't do it. . . .

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Hilary has received too much money from the 1 percent mega rich. Trump, being a billionaire and financing his own presidential campagn, might well be a better president than her.

What? Whatever makes you think Trump is financing his own campaign? Seems like you need to do a little fact checking.

If I were to go to protest and not support by heckling and jeering then I would expect to receive a few thumps at least.

So at a rally that is supposed to be to elect the guy who will lead the law and order of the country, you are suggesting that assault and extrajudicial beatings is appropriate?

This is exactly why Trump supporters are morons.

Leftists who go to a meeting like this looking for trouble, then whine like little girls when they find it. Trying to muster up some pity for the "victim", but just can't do it. . . .

You don't feel pity for someone who was violently assaulted, and then handcuffed after being violently assaulted, by the very people who are supposed to be protecting the people?

Again, this is what is wrong with Trump supporters.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

The comments from Trump's Brownshirts applauding a cowardly sucker punch are shocking, but to be expected. Bullies are always abject cowards themselves.

Behold the thing of beauty as the Republican party implodes under the colossal weight of its' own ugliness.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

At all of Mr. Trump's rallys, which are private events, there are zones designated for protesters outside the venues This guy knew that he was going in there to protest and therefore he was trespassing. Also, as he was being escorted out he began provoking those in attendance by yelling racial epitaphs and cursing at them. His initial criminal act and subsequent baiting the crowd led to him getting hit by another person. He has no one to blame but himself. . . .

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

He has no one to blame but himself. . . .

And the violent criminal who assaulted him, and Trump for creating an environment that allows for anarchy and extra-judicial assaults, and the rednecks who think it's ok to beat someone for holding a different opinion.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

"Trump, being a billionaire and financing his own presidential campagn, might well be a better president than her." Bill Gates for president. Many times better than the Donald since he has a lot more money. but I think Gates is a Liberal.

"This guy knew that he was going in there to protest and therefore he was trespassing. Also, as he was being escorted out he began provoking" Is he being charged with a crime like the old white dude who thinks all non whites are terrorists as he implied? It shows the Bundy mentality who blame everyone else for their problems except for themselves.

" an in my opinion got off lightly !" Is he under arrest?

"It's very unfair the way this young black man was treated at the Trump rally. " Yes, it was easy to judge this by seeing who was charged with the actual crime. The law is the best judge for that.

“He deserved it,”.....“The next time we see him, we might have to kill him. We don’t know who he is. He might be with a terrorist organization.” (Quote from the old dude who hit this guy and is under arrest) I can't believe some people on this board support this guy with homicidal tendencies.

-When you have the incredible media coverage like Trump has you do not need to spend as much.

These "protesters" come to these events to cause chaos (middle fingers in the air, swearing etc) and want to be thrown out. This may work in the USA somewhat, but do not try this sort of crap in Japan because some old grumpy person (bad liver) will jump you for real with 100% effort. You need to be more respectful and have a silent protest and people will consider and listen more.

"What possible reason do you think they have for endorsing Trump?"

"Could Trump maybe convey his message a little better to not give the false impression, I'm not sure, that would depend on what and how the person views his words."

What in the name of ROFLing are you ROFLing about? Answer the question. You have a good angle on this given that you saw how Trump appealed to lunatics. What was it before your conversion to Trump that led you to believe he attracted 'loons' like the KKK? This could be edifying for those who still believe Trump appeals to unsavoury characters.

@Strangerland

You sure are not living in the real world are you? Try going out in the street here and making a noise, guess where you'll end up? Maybe, go out in front of a yakuza chapter and complain about organized crime? Have a slanging match with whoever in the street, you'll see where that all gets you!

You need to take off those rose colored specs and take a look at the real world!

I repeat ! Jones got his ass kicked as he should have.......

And I repeat, anyone looking to become the leader of a country who creates an environment where extra-judicial assault is appropriate is not fit to the the leader of any country. The leader is supposed to enforce the rule of law, not go around it.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Trump has no sway over what laws are made. Nor is he responsible for what others do! As for creating the environment? I think Mr Jones was responsible for that, don't you?

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Trump has no sway over what laws are made.

But he's trying to show that he could do so effectively if he was leader. Yet he encourages beatings of protesters at his rallies. Verdict: Unfit to be president.

Nor is he responsible for what others do!

When he is the speaker, riling up his Trumpets to do violence, he certainly is.

As for creating the environment? I think Mr Jones was responsible for that, don't you?

No. That's the most ridiculous thing I've read all day. Which says a lot, as there have been some pretty ridiculous things said on this site today.

The Heckler's Veto. People do not have the right to create disturbances that prevent Trump from exercising his right to speak 'offensive" things and be heard. This is the tough one for many. But its the law. And a good one at that.

What does this have to do with this story? The article clearly says the victim was there to observe, not protest.

A looney liberal breaks the law by trespassing into a Mr. Trump event with the goal of looking for trouble. He swears at and flips off Mr. Trump's supporters and winds up getting hit by a guy who's 50 years older than him. As an undecided voter, the only backlash I can see coming from this is even more support for Mr. Trump. . . .

Ha-ha! Well said TX. He went into the Lion's den and got dealt with. It reminds me of the scene from Ice Cube's "Friday." When Chris Tucker said, " You got Knocked the Ef -Out " !!

Fadamor: "The article clearly says the victim was there to observe, not protest."

That is contested. Since I don't know what happened, I put that in. Regardless, people showing up at political rallies to protest is nothing new. People preventing the speaker from being heard is also nothing new, but went away for a while.

"What was worse was when Trump pulled out a semi-automatic assault-style carbine and sprayed the audience with gunfire." Since I don't know what happened, I put that in.

This is how falsehoods become "facts"... when somebody decides to make things up to suit themselves at the expense of the truth.

Since when did a campaign rally become the proper venue for a beat down in America?

When the wrong people go there looking for trouble. It didn't see other Trump supporters physically assaulting other Trump supporters.

Also, if the "black thugs" started it, shouldn't the ralliers, by way of their superiority, higher intelligence, increased engineering and sophistication, and ultimate gentlemanliness-- I mean, they're voting for Trump, aren't they?

You're correct. That old man should NOT have stooped down to those Black thugs' level. But with all this political drama in 2016, sometimes our emotions get the better of us. He only got elbowed in the face. He'll live.

Is it possible that there are "white thugs" too? Oh, no! Let's not shatter your world that you have so neatly and scientifically categorized.

I'll wear that shoe. Yeah, there are "white thugs." But did you see any of them disrespecting obama's campaign & even going as fa as to flip-off the entire venue and curse?

Your apology for those thugs, the white ones, is on the same level as a kindergartner: "well, Jimmy started it".

(yawn) It is what it is. Don't go into the Lion's den. Don't shake the hornets nest. "Well, Jimmy started it . . . " and the other kid should "finish" it.

Fascism is alive and well at Trump rallies.

Stupidity and big balls are alive and well too for thuggish hecklers who have the nerve to kick-up dust at those Trump rallies.

Fadamour

From the MSNBC interview, It seems to me that Rakeem Jones and Ronnie Rouse are reasonable people, and Rekem is the victim here. Still, I wasn't there. I am very interested getting the whole story, and it appears that that we will get it soon.

The victim of assault gets to be the one tackled by the cops. It makes sense in America.

At least the old fart got arrested (most likely will get a slap on the wrist).

You all must have seen the video? http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/video/2016/mar/11/more-footage-surfaces-of-trump-supporter-punching-protester-in-the-face-video

Did you know that people are instructed to leave the protesters alone at the beginning of Trump rallies. Just raise their signs and yell "Trump, Trump."

I would have seen the old man coming and blocked. 78 years old throws a punch and looks pretty fragile.

I wonder how high the guy was he hit. He had his arms up enjoying his few seconds of fame. Didn't even react, I would have by instinct.

Anyway, it was wrong to do.

Drumpf needs to be prosecuted for inciting, inducing. He likes "bling", give him a couple of silver bracelets !

Here's something you won't see on this site. A political sign could get a gun pulled on me by the anti-Trump crowd.

Both sides have stupid people. Indeed an electrifying presidential race.

news show evert Trump rally, some anti people are disrupting street trafftc and damaging street signs

1 ( +2 / -1 )

As Rakeem Jones, 26 was walking out of a Trump rally, he can be seen yelling at the crowd and extending the middle fingers on both of his hands. A 78 year old man objected to Jones obscenities and allowed himself to be provoked into hitting him. Jones's antics elicited the response he was hoping to provoke.

Talk about ditching responsibility. The old man made the decision to hit him. No one else can 'make' someone hit them, a person can only make the decision to hit someone on their own. For if one can't control themselves, then who is controlling them?

Jones's antics elicited the response he was hoping to provoke.

Maybe. It exposed the disgusting and twisted actions of a crowed that has been riled up to the point of violence, by a racist moron orangutan.

So if someone had elbowed you in the face, I guess you'll just brush it off as innocent playfulness in the heat of a 'political drama' then. As for me, I would punch that person right back in their face.

. . . If I was "asking for it" and provoking, inciting a potential flare-up, then Yeah -I guess I'd just have to take my lumps.

. . . .If you want to dance, you've got to pay the fiddler.

The video clearly shows Mr. McGraw running from a far distance to sucker punch the guy. That was both uncalled for and cowardly; even the sheriff said so himself. I could see if Mr. Jones was throwing punches too, or even yelling and spitting directly in Mr. McGraw's face, but he did no such a thing. In fact, he said nothing to Mr. McGraw at all. Since when does free speech in America give others the right to respond with violence? Yet that is what Trump wants; an America where free speech is not allowed (unless it agrees with what he says). He said that if you don't believe in and follow what he says, he'll "punch you in the face".

Much of the mainstream media have had to face the inconvenient news today that, yep, Donald Trump’s racist birther beliefs are alive and well.

Inconvenient because, although the MSM has given Trump’s presidential campaign extraordinary amounts of coverage, they’ve largely forgotten—willfully or not—that in his view Barack Obama is some kind of Kenyan-born Muslim.

source: http://www.thenation.com/article/the-media-can-no-longer-pretend-that-trumps-racist-birtherism-is-old-news/

Live by racism, end a buffoon's campaign with racism. And go round and round and round in the circle jackass game. Trump's always in the lead. What a joke.

Too bad those Police Officers got injured at Chicago. Will Trump pay their hospital bills the same way he wants to pay for the legal costs of his racists who assault protesters?

It is very hard to "Stump the Trump." There is no reason to get upset or resort to violence since you will only lose and steamroll Trump's popularity even more. I do enjoy media/Libs getting upset over it, but the reality is the US needs some changes to push the corruption and debt out/down. It will be a cleaning of the White House with some new paint and wallpaper and many off these ObamaJobs will be expunged. Net effect will be a much more effective Gov, lower interest for school loans, more jobs/innovation. =All these neoLib, brain-dead, paper-pushers will be forced to use their brains for once, which at first is very un-nerving and upsetting, but long term they will do ok if they stay away from the corruption and do not try to regroup their criminal empire.

Jones 26 vs McGraw 78

If I were Jones I'd be way too embarrassed to keep on saying that a 78 year whipped me!!!

What a pussy!

If ya are gonna do it, don't be a pussy and sucker punch

Challenge him like a true fighter
