There is no reason for North Korea to BE isolated. If they will stop this nuclear weaponry nonsense, then we can all start on the road to friendship. But we can not start on that road while they are exploding weapons and making threats.

To think, if this N Korea space launch succeeds, it's going to put a shame to the failed S. Korean launch a few years ago. Like, N. Korea is so isolated you'd wonder how they get these types of things to begin with.

The Chinese? Iran or Don Putin perhaps?
Could even be from the West we all know how unscrupulous arms dealers are.

That would be an interesting scenario. S. Korea would also be overwhelmed by refugees too. I wonder if Japan would accept any of these refugees, after all they're not islamic.

A short time ago, they launched their missile. ABC is covering it... badly.

Think it may be closer to the 7th, just a hunch ^_^
Farmboy
Sorry, your hunch is wrong.

It's all over the news this morning ! It went over Okinawa ! What's the point of having a U.S army base there spending millions if not billions in keeping it there if they are unable to stop such things ? Surely they would have the technology to detected this so why the delay in any intervention like shooting it down ! It wasn't long ago that NK supposedly detonated a weapon of mass destruction !

Glad to see that the headline on JT is accurate..The all TV media (including the govt what a coincidence) is loudly insisting calling this launch a "missile" when it seems to be only a rocket carrying a satellite, rocket are something that every country are doing, including Japan. So NK is maybe learning also how to propel missile on the way but I had like the news to report the clear fact and not build-up stories around.

I think Aaron means 'closer to the 7th than the 14th', how is that wrong?
If they shoot it down, the debris could fall on Okinawa. If they let it fall in the ocean, it is really, really unlikely to damage even a fishing boat.
Although DPRK should be severely criticized for using the area beyond Okinawa as their experimental proving ground. Assuming they even meant for it to land there.

Yes, Madverts, or even company connivance. For example, Toshiba famously supplied tech to the erstwhile enemy, the USSR, for "silent" submarines and "Japanese companies played a key role in supplying equipment used for Pakistan's nuclear development," Japan's Kyodo News reported in February, 2009.

turbostat,
Oh, sorry, I see what you're saying. I think you may be right about the intended meaning. Sorry, Aaron.

Ah yes, the axis of evil. I almost forgot that they need to help each other so that evil will dominate the entire world, silly me.
