Total blithering idiots these "reporters." Having said that, I do await their interesting articles which should appear in about 20 years time.

As if a state run newspaper would be unbiased in reporting the " hostile acts " of two reporters.

Then again, they should have never been there in the first place. Who in their right mind walks into N. Korea while they're showcasing their warheads.

People talk about the conviction rate in Japan -- nothing compared to the North Korean circus.

Hmmm....before the articles said that the journalists were in China and that the North Korea soldiers crossed over to arrest them.....but now it seems a bit fuzzy...

Well, seems the did venture in NK after all, which is bloody stupid. I really hope they are not convicted, but I doubt they'll just get a slap on the wrists. It is, of course, NK we are talking about, and they don't take lightly to 'spying'. But clearly this is more as a bargaining chip for the missile/satellite launch... which makes the timing of these idiots even worse!

It seems that HK took hostages of American journalists as hostile act to BARGAIN something (HK wants) with the US. Maybe they want food, oil, money, etc, etc from the US.

I for one am very tired of these foreign journalists crossing over and getting away with it. It is monsterous and should be punished to the full extent of the law.

China is the country that is always quick to condemn any criticism from other countries as interference in domestic affairs, so it is hardly in any position to do anything about monchichi. Apparently China does not feel threatened by NK. Some things are going on the rest of the world doesn't know about.

Good to see people not defending these journalists too much. They did enter the country illegally, a country which they know is very strict against people entering, and especially at a time like this. Did they think that nothing would really happen and because they are journalists they would be allowed to go wherever they want?

Yeah, their fate is already sealed guilty as charged. The question is whether they are just tortured and re-educated or used as a bargaining chip for something the Dear Leader wants from the US?

I'm actually a bit surprised myself to not see more 'they are innocent' stuff on here. I think most people were pretty quick to realize that they so-called journalists were indeed in the wrong, and just have nothing to say about the matter. In fact, NKorea, whom I am NOT defending, has seemed pretty decent about it thusfar, given their extremely strict and grave punishments and all. And as I said before, these guys are all the more stupid for their timing.

Forget Jimmy carter send in big ears jenkins. He can work out a swell deal, look at the deal he managed so pull off.
