North Korea's greatest defense asset is that they don't have anything anyone wants.

Thats a bit rich coming from a nuclear armed pariah state. It's missiles and nukes are a danger to the region and beyond. It gets zero say in Australian military requirements for it's own defense.
wtfjapan
Seems like the sub deal was the right decision afterall, China and NK are now taking notice.
Funny how China now wants to join the TPP

+1, and no one wants to deal with 20+ million brainwashed drones in the event that anything should happen

Why don't these idiots first determine if it affects their security before making threats?

Launch more expiration date missiles into the Sea of Japan? Real mature…

The South Koreans just one-upped him with a successful underwater ballistic missile launch from a real submarine and brought out a big ballistic missile with a 2000kg hard target penetrator warhead that is about capable of defeating the Norks buried bunkers as a nuke, and then the Aussies tell the world they are going to build nuclear powered subs, something Kim makes noises about but never gets there. He's feeling not so much ignored as insecure.

Looks like lil is Kim feeling ignored now that the love of his life lost the elections!!!

So kissing their backsides is your preferred policy choice? Sucking up to the Norks and limiting your military options is somehow "strength"? Really?

Message to Kim: BLOW ME (a kiss as you’re leaving, honey.)

Why? The US has a vast stockpile of fissile material from warheads of weapons decommissioned under the terms of various arms control treaties. It is not even producing new fissile material. There is no need.

Except a land border with China and China very much wants to retain that, it doesn't wants a US allied South Korea right next door. Russia, despite having only a very short land border with North Korea, may feel the same way.

AUS is estimated to have 33% of the world's Uranium. Why wouldn't they use nuclear power?
The US wants access to their Uranium, which explains why there is a deal at all.
Whether they should build land-nuclear power plants is up to the Aussies. Get some of the newest MSR designs and build them 50 miles away from major cities. Stay away from water-cooled reactors unless you are on a ship/boat.

Thefu ,we have our own uranium, we are using MOX fission material from decommissioned nuclear warhead Google MOX Nuclear Material

The current US administration is displaying weakness on the world stage and that is inviting challenges from rogue states. North Korea had not been acting up for years but now are getting belligerent again due to biden’s bumbling foreign policy.
