"North Korea said it would turn Seoul into a “sea of fire”

They could very well do it. But it would mean a bunch of North Koreans would then be killed or maimed in the counter attack, and the end of the North Korean government, and then the enormously expensive rebuilding of both the north and the south with the help of maybe China?

Landmine attack? How do landmines attack? Why are there no details of where these landmines were located? Were they in NK, SK or in the no go area?

After all those SK's bullying Japan on many issues particularly comfort women, Japan stays out of it.

" “an all-out military action of justice to blow up all means for ‘anti-North psychological warfare’ in all areas along the front,”

“indiscriminate strikes which envisage even possible challenge and escalating counteraction,”

These guys need a better speechwriter.

Who is selling North Korea arms and military technology ... China?

NK does not shop much, they just don't have enough money. But they have own weapons industry - designs are rather rude, but with Seoul within the range of field artillery they do not need many precise munitions.

Complete BS. The little fat Kim does not have the military power to attack anyone; he is busy enough oppressing his own people. This posturing is just the usual prelude for some demand for more foreign aid..... are the Americans seriously stupid enough to believe it, or is just a slow news day?

The landmines were evidently placed across the border in South Korea or South Korean Soldiers on border patrol wouldn't have been injured. And they certainly were not in the north. In 1976 several, perhaps 5 or 6, North Korean soldiers beat an American army officer to death in the so called neutral zone with axe handles and avoided retaliation by apologizing, a lot of good that did for the American and almost started an active war again. They purposely do such things to "raise the morale" of North Korea and test the determination of the US and South Korea. If the north starts an invasion again they will lose it all.
