Thanks, N. Korea. I was worried there wouldn't be any news from AP this week and then there you were -- always coming through when needed!

Oh noooo! Strong measures!? The whole wide world is shaking in their knickers now!
biglittleman
Will they please just play Janken so they can finally decide who wins this stupid war?
kokorocloud
biglittleman-- It's true, janken solves almost everything!
In all seriousness though, this news frightens me a little. Not so much for the rest of the world, but I have a friend in South Korea right now, so it's probably disconcerting for her and everyone else there right now more than it is elsewhere.

I think Kim Jong was dropped on his head as a child.
stirfry
nothing like a bit of paranoia with your cornflakes, eh Kimmie ?

I just want to let everyone in JT community know that any attempts to personally bring me down will be met with strong measures. Just, you know, throwing that out there.

South Korea threatened a preemptive strike to take out North Korea first. North Korea is sitting with 50 million mortars and bombs pointed at Seoul, 10k down the road. South Korea's economy will be destroyed in the event of a war. Someone better do some major butt kissing down south.

Would someone please remind "Dear Leader" that a missile fired from the USA would take only 20 minutes to scatter his sphincter all over his lovely country!

You exaggerate. It's at least 30km between most of Seoul and the DMZ.

Kim Jong Il is doing a good enough job of bringing down his country, namely the November 30 redenomination of the NK won. There has been civil unrest and the head economic leader has been sacked. Markets are back in place after being outlawed, showing that the "all-knowing" government has lost control of the economy.
It's just a matter of time before NK implodes.

That's the dear little pipsqueak for you. His Chinese masters come to call and all he can do is prattle on about violence. I wish the Chinese would re-educate this guy. He's a bloody nuisance.
That would be progress.

True, but, NK artillery can fire hundreds of kilos

How much lower can it possibly get? Get a Clue Kim boy. Eat your sushi, watch your cds and get a life.

sounds an internal Korean affair. I am against Japan getting involved in the 59 year old civil war. Japan is not worried about Korean artillery. The best thing for the North would be for a neutral Japan. Both the north and south hate Japan so we should stay out of it.

The best thing is no wars.
Japan would reunite Korea against Japan, its best not to worry about that, anyway, the USA is in the hood, keeping things nice, and peaceful..

What's new, do we know if the Dear Leader is even still alive. Maybe one of his body doubles is parading around.
adaydream
Is this Kim or are there leaders who are actually calling the shots that are pulling this crap? < :-)

South Korea should stop spreading propaganda leaflets inside North Korea using balloons.

Are you suggesting hundreds of kilograms or hundreds of kilometers?
