North Korea sounds like a "Psycho girlfriend." One minute she wants to break-up them next minute she wants to be "lovey-dovey." I say kick the unstable h*% to the curve. It is better than getting your windshield smashed with a brick.

South Korea warned of launching a pre-emptive strike if the North was preparing a nuclear attack. The "if talk" is the typical talk of a Mafioso. The thug doesn't say "I am going to smash you because I want to". He would rather say "If you misbehave than I am going to smash you now". The South Korean government is a government of thugs and warmongers. The North is left with no choice but to try and respond somehow, and their response is very reasonable.

I think that is an extreme minority viewpoint on the matter. It's more reasonable to look at the situation through the viewpoint of North Korea's relentless militarism, needless pursuit of a nuclear arsenal, constant inflammatory rhetoric, and ceaseless paranoia as the main cause of instability on the peninsula.

The South Korean Defense Minister should send a message of LOVE and marriage proposal !! It's a fact no S. korean city babes would marry the S. Korean farmboys( hence all the SE Asian mail brides and subsequent discrimation of mixed blood children, a social problem ). Well, there are those N. Korean babes literally STARVING for a little love and food !! Simple matter, you think ?

YGHome: The thug doesn't say "I am going to smash you because I want to". He would rather say "If you misbehave than I am going to smash you now".

I've read that a few times but I don't really see how it makes any sense. Can you give it another try?

These two countries act like young Japanese thugs = much noise that keeps the populace from their much deserved nightly sleep.

I really think that we should make it a condition for any further aid of any kind to North Korea that they stop using the word "war".

A South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman Won Tae-jae dismissed the North’s statement Sunday as a predictable reaction.

In the eyes of the backward uncivilized starving nation, everything must be "an act of war" as evidenced by all the yapping that it has done over the years...

Farting towards the general direction of Pyongyang is an act of war accoring to the Troll Leader's standards.

There are days when I think that testing WMD on a certain group of lunatics North of the 38th might not be a bad idea. Today is one of them.

This is an internal Korean concern. They need to work this out themselves. If the south with its greater population and rich finances can not beat a lower populated bankrupt country. It lacks the will to continue. Japan needs to be neutral.

And on and on the saga goes. Any news on how the NK peasants have survived the winter or are the Chinese keeping them ded and warm these days?

In response to SuperLib's request, I now explain further what I mean: In many confrontations when there is an aggressive/criminal side and a non-aggressive side, the aggressive side, which initiates the confrontation, tries to attribute this confrontation to the other side in a manner that cannot make any sense. The absurd "if talk", with the void "if", is a typical example.

The question of who is the aggressor should be addressed in earnest. The North proposed replacing the armistice agreement with a peace treaty, but was dismissed. The North keeps saying that they are willing to give up their nukes in the framework of a comprehensive move which will put an end to all hostility, but is being rebuffed. The North says all the time that they want reunification on a federal basis, by implementing the joint declaration reached during the term of Kim Dae Jung, but is being ignored. On the other hand the South has harassed fishing boats of the North, and then went on to initiate maritime clashes near the shores of the North. This is the picture, as regards the aforementioned question.

Nah, South Korea is better than North Korea.

BTW, NK and SK are trading artillery fire across the border. Going to be a long day.
