The country’s latest death toll reported Friday was 69, setting its mortality rate at 0.002%, an extremely low count that no other country, including advanced economies, has reported in the fight against COVID-19.

I guess that authoritarian regimens only option to reduce important number of deaths is to hide them and hope the world don't notice how far from the reality are their numbers.

Terribly sad situation for the population that now will have to deal with the deaths and the lockdowns making their difficult situation even worse. And as said in the article this only makes Kim stronger and more difficult to oppose, so there is no end in sight for their suffering.

Again, it's quite possible that the low reported death count is due to a lack among the population of the one most commonly reported characteristics of those who die, lifestyle generated CO-MORBIDITIES. The greatest 'suffering' that Bukhan has endured has been the poisonous economic restrictions imposed on the people by the overbearing United States who cannot tolerate a 'disobedient' state small enough to bully. Genocides, military dictatorships, fascists, all okay as long as they are obedient or claim to be 'allies' however much they betray the U.S. and pay off its politicians. But disobedient? Bad juju...only the boot heel for them...and, of course, unlike the U.S. whose 'honesty' is unquestioned, THEY lie, although we are not allowed to hear anything directly from them...just 'reports'...

We see Japan also underreporting. And the US. And Australia, to name a few other countries represented by "authoritarian regimes".

This is true, and is supported by "global experts."

Do you have any evidence these countries underreport deaths to the point of the rates becoming unbelievable? that is the what is being criticized from countries like North Korea and China

Can you bring a source that say the malnourished population of North Korea that have poor access to medical services and preventive medicine do not have comorbidities? becaue if you cant then there is no support from the experts as you say.

"becoming unbelievable" are your added words as are "malnourished population" so you are trying to argue something that diverts from the main point, but regardless it is up to you to present evidence to the contrary; otherwise it is just your same old, 'I'm right, you're wrong' fallacious "argument."

The numbers being unbelievable is included in the comment you are replying to, and the only thing supported by experts is that vaccinated people without comorbidities do better against covid, the vast majority of the population of North Korea are not considered either for the reasons exposed. It is not may fault your arguments depend completely on misrepresenting what other people (and the experts) say.
