Pretty amazing stuff that sky-crane.

People could watch it live on the NASA website too. Not many agencies do that. It adds an air of transparency and confidence whatever happens. That's how to be a leading space program.

Awesome work! I look forward, very much, to seeing what Curiosity sees and does.

That is one amazing engineering feat! I watched the coverage live on the NASA website and you could feel the thrill when they got confirmation it was down safe! I can't wait to see what new discoveries will be made.

this is about the only positive thing i have seen, witnessed or experienced in years, that was amazing, watching everyones emotions included after all that epic hard work and dedication ... mankind gained about 0.01% trust back this morning

LOL! mrmalice, you gained more in trust than money in a Japanese earns in interest! I say you scored a pretty good deal! I do agree, this was the most amazing thing I've seen in a long time!

So keep an eye on the images for little green men hiding behind rocks and throwing things at it.

Seriously, well done NASA... now find evidence of life... please!

Great! Well done! Now, if they can just find a way to feed all the people now starving in the world...

I congratulate Nasa but also agree with Serrano.

Those 2.6 Billion USD(for the rover) plus other expenses could have been put to a better use here on earth.

This ain't pocket-change how many wells or similar could have been dug, how many jobs could have been created?

CNSA should feed the starving people in the world instead of going to the moon. They have the money.
