The glitter has fallen and faded. time to sweep it up and get onto business again.

Now back to the real world of out of control immigration, soaring inflation, knife crime, food banks, soon to be no gas and the realization that somehow Lis Truss has become PM.

and the realization that somehow Lis Truss has become PM.

Yep. How did that happen? Why are our world leaders no better than second-rate lower management lackeys?

The big clean-up? What big clean-up? Taking down some decorations hardly compares to the binmen strikes of late. Now that was a big clean-up!

Thank the god's that nonsense is over.

Around 250,000 people queued round the clock to view the queen's coffin as it lay in state in the days leading up to the funeral, the UK government said, while more than 26 million watched the event on television.

26 million = just 40%. Seems low.

Thats on TV sets in the UK alone - the majority of people will have been watching over the internet

"Rather than take on the impossible task of monitoring all UK screens at once, BARB instead relies on a sample of 5,300 households – about 12,000 people in total – to represent the viewing habits of the entire country, selecting them on factors like age, a number of children, ethnicity, house size, and many others to help ensure they give a realistic cross-section of the country."

**It was predicted that 4 billion would watch the funeral across the world.

"The figure appears to be based on one estimate, from a TV analyst from the WatchTVAbroad.com website, and it’s unclear how it was calculated. We couldn’t find any data to support this claim."

**What about claims the BBC reported an audience of 5.1 billion?

"Claims that 5.1 billion people worldwide watched the Queen’s funeral have also gone viral."

**"The combined population of all 56 countries in the Commonwealth is about 2.5 billion. If viewership followed the same pattern as Australia, that would translate to about 500 million people."

@zulander That's on TV sets in the UK alone - the majority of people will have been watching over the internet

That's true. I live streamed on youtube.

Just before the funeral I was sitting in the garden with a cup of tea, away from the TV set. Friends from all over the world were sending the pictures and videos to me on my phone. I could have stayed in the garden all day.

For those who did'nt watch it, I think that they missed out on a piece of unforgettable history being made before our eyes. In years to come we will all remember where, we were, who we were with. And what we did on that day.

The estimated global TV audience for Queen Elizabeth's II is 4 billion.

4 Billion viewers? Wow, just imagine if the auctioned advertising on the coffin, gun carriage and hearse. It could have save the tax payers a small fortune.

All three are state property, the gun carriage is maintained by the Royal Navy, so I doubt that they would ever be up for auction.

King Charles III has indicated that he wants a smaller scale coronation, as he also wants to address the question of saving tax payers money in difficult times.
