and no one calls for him to step down. He will be remembered in Ukraine's history.

Well, they can't, just like they can't tel Putin to step down.

Ukraine has elections but is not allowed under Martial Law.

Yeah, you buy that if you want. LOL

I get it you hate President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Ukrainians are free to call for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to stand out, unlike the Russians and Putin.

I see both men as the same.

We don't like to see cowardice inhibiting American national security.

Funny, the majority of people want to cut funding to Ukraine overwhelmingly. Cowardice? No, American first policies, all day long.

https://edition.cnn.com/2023/08/04/politics/cnn-poll-ukraine/index.html

Then it behoves you to see that anti-American Putin doesn't have anything left with which to fight us, regardless of the outcome.

I just want out and let the Europeans take the leading role in this.

However, over time, there has been a drastic shift in his perception by the public. Mr. Zelensky’s popularity has steadily declined during the war, and as of February of this year, KIIS found it reached just 60 per cent. Among his supporters, those who “strongly” did so dropped from 42 per cent in September, 2023, to 22 per cent as of February, according to the International Republican Institute.

After a high of 90% following the full-scale invasion, today around 65% of Ukrainians still trust President Zelensky to guide them through these times.

People that follow this stuff realize that Putin didn't lose 100k Russians because he was holding back and that non-nuclear missiles don't destroy entire cities. Ukraine is not 50% destroyed.

At this rate it will, give it time, Putin has enough of it.

They also know that no deal short of surrender has been offered to Zelenskyy. These facts are indisputable.

Well, then there won't be anything left in the near future.

No, just telling the truth. A coin has two sides, always.

And a villain to others.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a Ukrainian war hero who defended his country against the Russian invasion led by Putin. His name will be remembered in the history of the country.

Indeed, some people still view him that way. But to many he is just a guy who enriched himself by sacrificing his country to please America, whose goal was to destroy Russia because it interfered with America's hegemony.

And how did that result in tanks rolling towards Kyiv? Most animals can't be controlled as well as you think Russia was.

Zelensky's term expired. If he really was a hero, he would have had a free and open election and won. But for some reason, he didn't do that...

Up to this day Russia has not unleash it's full military might like what we are seeing in Palestine. A full out war with Russia by attacking it's mainland will need the full support and direct involvement of NATO then we are looking at a situation that non of us would want to experiance.

Better start Talking instead of Fighting.

This is what the left do not understand, good point, once Putin unleashes the full might of the Russian military, he would rather see that country burned to the ground than ever allow it to get near NATO. Again, if I were Zelenskyy, I would cut a deal why he can still salvage his country, if he doesn't there won't be a Ukraine left to return to.

It's not about Truman. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has a war hero who only matters to other Ukrainians.

Again, it is about how you see the individual, take your pick, Zelenskyy, Reagan, Khomeini, Chavez, depends on how the person views these individuals, that is just a fact, not everyone likes or trusts Zelenskyy, not everyone hates Putin, it just depends.

Yes, we know you don't hate Putin, an anti-American and a mass murderer. Now will you tell us you don't hate Democrats? Let's see if there is any patriotism left in you.

We can't believe any news today not western and especially not Russian!

Example of pure western news fiction.

Western news reported that the Russian 98th paratroopers division (this part division is important) was sent into Chasiv Yar in April with the job of taking it.

It took 3 months for the 98th to finally capture just the micro district!

Now Forbes and other news sites are claiming the in that battle Russia list 99,000 men!

Wait since when does a "division" have over 100,000 men.

Please don't claim they sent in ten times the division's size in replacement, a paratrooper division is an elite unit. They don't just send people in to it!

This is the type of wishful thinking and fake information given by Ukrainian and reprinted without verification by western news.

Ukraine (Zelensky )says "we are willing to keep fighting, Blah blah blah.. " but in reality men are in hiding, men are trying to flee the country, they have units grabbing men off the streets (this is not Russian propaganda but from the BBC CBC CNN, etc...) with a supposed 5 million fighting aged men available, if Ukrainians were really willing to fight, Ukraine wouldn't have a problem recruiting or a manpower shortage!

NATO and Zelensky talk while men die!

It's not just a question of allowing to strike Russia. Some of the weapons used, such as the missiles (loaded with cluster bombs) that killed several beachgoers in Crimea, need to be programed by the US and use US intelligence and satellite data. So it would be Ukraine and US attacking Russia. Russia would be expected and entitled to respond against US targets....

More than Putinists here I see plenty persons who know nothing about history and geopolitics and are heavily invested in the economic interests of the warmongers in Washington. The present and past US administrations are the only responsible of these wars (including Gaza), and I cringe thinking about the lack of ethics and knowledge of past conflicts of European leaders, who are not ready to face off the Americans once for all.

And tell us again how NATO will be "weakened" - as Finland and Sweden bring in more than one million troops and modern equipment to the Alliance.

How many would commit to full combat commitment with Russia? When was the last time the Swedes fought in a war?

What? ROFL...

The only weakening that has been done is to Russian sovereignty, as Putin has been forced to turn the country into a vassal state of China.

That helps both nations

Thanks for agreeing with me....

Xi knows this, and will exploit it...

that Ukraine cannot win the war with Russia now in its third year

But the western media assured us that the Russian military was an incompetent pushover and that once the Leopards arrived it'd take a few hours to roll into Sevastopol in Crimea.

We were also assured that the Russian economy would collapse and citizens would revolt because of sanctions.

Zelensky keeps moving the goal post and he's moving it towards World War III.

All of those things were totally doable but the west was not serious. Russia is a lightweight at 1/5th the population of NATO.

No time is acceptable to surrender your sovereignty or your territory. Neither is the action of a "man".

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

5 ( +10 / -5 )

You’re nit winning the war mate. Time for peace.

We were assured that Ukraine would "roll over" within 72 hours. Kiev would be under Russian control.

It's been over 2 and a half years.

It's clear the fascist Russians being thrown into the meat grinder are suffering mass casualties. 100,000 plus dead, hundreds of thousands injured. 8 percent of an already weak Russian economy is being used up on this fascist war of expansion - modelled on Nazi Germany's lebensraum.

Keep up the good fight, brave Ukrainians. Keep sending the fascists back home in body bags - where they belong.

Ukraine has lost the war.

Really? What was supposed to be one of the world's strongest armies invades a country it shares a land border with, expecting it to be a cakewalk, and now finds itself in a war of attrition, fighting desperately over nameless hamlets in the sliver of the country it precariously controls, and is so desperate that it seeks aid from its longtime nemesis, China (and that aid won't come without strings that will take a decade to play out, no doubt), even as it loses its best and brightest of its increasingly shrinking (Russia's birthrate is far below replacement and is not replenished by immigration as it is in the US) population who are either killed on the battlefield or flee abroad, and you say Ukraine has lost?

Really, there are no winners here. But if past is prologue, Ukraine must continue its fight: if Russia is allowed an inch of Ukrainian territory, they will be back for a mile.

Ukrainians attacked Shebekino in the Belgorod region again — this time a drone dropped explisive device on a playground. Five teenagers were injured, two of them are in grave condition. They are being operated now.

In this case, the drone operator saw perfectly well who exactly he was attacking. The ukr operator absolutely consciously and purposefully sought to intentionally hit a group of children in the courtyard of an apartment building.

At the same time, what happened does not say anything fundamentally new about the enemy. Since 2014, it has similarly attacked the cities of Donbass, signing the shells with mocking phrases like "All the best for children." Everyone also remembers the relevant propaganda theses of the Kiev regime about "self-shootings" and "exploded air conditioners".

-3 ( +10 / -13 )

Ukraine has lost the war. No amount of money, arms or cope conferences with photo ops will change the reality on the battlefield.

Kyiv-regime forces have attrited their fighting forces in grinding battles since Bakhmut and throughout the summer/spring counteroffensive and now into the present. Clear the Loss Exchange Ratio has massively swung in RFAF favor (at least 5:1 if not higher), who now hold the strategic initiative and a geared up for the long haul.

Called this ballgame for Moscow long ago. Western media complex did a good job of convincing everyone Ukraine could win but the truth is they have been sent up a brown creek without a paddle as a temporary proxy.

Question from here on out is what a future truncated Ukraine rump state will look like and indeed whether they have suffered an irreparable blow to their statehood as the demographic and economic costs inevitably put them on the course to failed state status.
