NATO says four soldiers killed in 'insider' attack in Afghan south

ten years of training afghanistan "police' and "army" brings you to this:

Six Harrier jets were destroyed and two were significantly damaged in the raid on the camp airfield

And this.........

Four soldiers fighting with the NATO-led alliance were killed in an attack believed to involve members of the Afghan police

Well, at least they have democracy........so I guess it was all worth it. Democracy, girls at school, good relationship with the west, corruption free government. Took ten years but in the end Afghanistan is a free independent country. Or something.

Of course there is no end to these "insider" attacks.

When oh when will the Western government give up this foolish mission which accomplishes nothing but waste Western ressources and give endless propaganda fodder to the jihadis.

NATO needs to pull out and let the country sink into the hell of their own creation. America your "friends" Pakistan is behind all of this yet all you can do is punish Iran and reward your true enemy.

I'm not sure SimondB is being serious. However, I agree with everything else you said. I do however believe school attendance by girls is higher, but that's it. This mission should end. We don't need more dead Americans.

I agree with WillB, why does the west continue to waste valuable time and resourced on these places?

The Americans and their coalition partners are training Afghan forces to take over responsibility for the nations security and enable the United States to pull out its combat troops by the end of 2014.

It is very clear that the recruiting and hiring process of these Afgans are not well screened by the NATO. It should be suspended immediately and more evaluation is needed to stop these insider attacks.

This is an 'off-limits' war and thosekillings were definately not a gentlemem's war! It was the CIA's covert war provoking the islamic militants fighting like this way against their master the Soviets in 1980s! The one who you fed is the jaw now biting!

6 Harrier jets destroyed by Taliban raids disguised as US soldiers? Wasnt those scene take place only in that cold war movie 'Red dawn'? The Taliban brings Hollywood movie comes true!

This is all in the name of getting Harry?? I think somebody here said he, Harry was costing many lives for the UK, NATO etc..I got a feeling that person was right. Time to let Harry go back to Vegas or Miami etc..let the real soldiers kick some Talibani ass.
