He is right. Russia will go back in its cage as a regional power.

Because some ah launched an invasion of a sovereign country in violation of the UN Charter. Also once the war is on, Ukraine is entitled to defend itself anywhere it needs to against military targets.

....the military aid from the US which will be phased out, as the Middle East gets priority? This Dutch warmonger will have to eat his worth. Without the US, NATO is nothing. Rather than spouting more war propaganda, he should remember what Nato was supposed to be.... a defensive alliance and not a tool to fight American proxy wars.

You seem still unaware that for the US this is a proxy war they can walk away from at any time, while for Russia this is an existential crisis. The only way to end this is to stop Nato expansion and write neutrality into the UKR constitution. I have many times recommended to read up on the background of the conflict, starting in 2008, or, one can argue, in 2002.

About 3 weeks to start the negotiations and wrap this up.

You mean before (in your dream scenario) Trump wins the election and promptly gives Putin carte blanche to go all-out.
What a patriot, eh?

"Our existence hinges on our ability to attack Ukraine for no good reason whatsoever".
Interesting take.
I assume you also consider that going into Poland in 1939 was due to Germany's "existential crisis".

NATO sees this as a war.
Russia sees this as an economic policy. Most of the Russian economy, that isn't oil-based, is tied to the war and production of items for it. Until Moscow is afraid of bombing, Russia will keep the war going. Russian leaders don't care how many men they get killed on either side. If Russia ever really though as Ukraine as a little brother, as we've seen claimed, then they wouldn't be killing them.

yep my dream and your nightmare. It’s happening.

No. It is not a proxy war for the US. Russia started this imperial war and they can end it.
Nope. Nobody was ever threatening Russia.
Quite the opposite. The only way to peace is security guarantees for Ukraine, and that means memebership of NATO.
You could do with your own advice.
Putin didn't invade Ukraine in 2022 because he feared NATO. He invaded because he believed that NATO was weak, that his efforts to regain control of Ukraine by other means had failed, and that installing a pro-Russian government in Kyiv would be safe and easy. His aim was not to defend Russia against some non-existent threat but rather to expand Russia's power, eradicate Ukraine's statehood, and destroy NATO, goals he still pursues.

Nightmare? Hardly. If he gets elected, I'll just laugh at you from a distance, along with most of the rest of the civilised world. (Xi, Putin et al. will be jumping for joy, though, at four more years of the useful idiot).
I live in Japan, I'm not American, so any effects of electing Trump again are going to be secondary or tertiary effects at most.
I would feel worse for the decent people living in the US, but hey. That's democracy.

Hahaha- Kamala leading in 4 of 7 battleground states, Harris up 49%-47% nationally. You’re having a laugh.

He still thinks Trump won the last election and supports Trump saying he’s going to send the military after people who disagree with him

I don't need to read the words of apologists. Russia is not entitled to lobotomize its neighbors.

yet you negatively post about it 10 times a day like it’s the most important thing in your life: lol

You flatter yourself. I do this to kill time when it's quiet at work.
If you think I take your attempts at provocation seriously, you are really quite mistaken.
That's one reason I am hoping for a Harris victory (preferably landslide, so that Von Shitzenpantz can't try and raise a riot to overturn it): you will have to come up with a new shtick.

Moscow will not tolerate Minsk Agreements 2.0 and all the trickery that will lead to renewed conflict.
The only way to settle this is once and for all and that also means a major attitude adjustment by the NATO Atlanticists in tandem with a security architecture and geopolitical realignment that fits into a multipolar world.
(What is left over of Ukraine being a neutral buffer state is just part of it, there is a larger issue to be addressed)
Some dude
The only way to settle this is once and for all is to drive the Russian scum out of Ukraine and send someone to take Putin out.
As the acronym goes, FIFY.

Agreed. Ukraine needs to join NATO.
TaiwanIsNotChina
That's fine: you're not getting any other agreements but a dmz demarcation.
Russia's tiny pole won't be able to finish off Ukraine or make demands from NATO.

Certain quarters continue to operate under the assumed stance that Ukraine’s “capitulation” merely represents signing an unfavourable peace deal with Russia to create a Korean-style DMZ at the current contact line and "freeze" the conflict (and restore 2014 borders down the track).
If only and dream on. Moscow is not going to play along.

Many of your compatriots bleating "peace nao" should be taking this message to heart.
Very well then. I am fine with further russian casualties and so is Ukraine.

And so if Russia didn't invade Ukraine, how would America fight this "proxy war"?
They wouldn't be ale to do it.
So, you have to ask yourself, why do you think it is a "proxy war" if Russia could end it tomorrow?
