Navalny's ideology is Russia for Russians.

His followers are 100% white and 95% young men.

Navalny opens disparages the "people from the Caucuses" (means non-white) and affirms that Crimea belongs to Russia.

Navalny also calls for Russia to reabsorb Ukraine and Belarus.

In the West, his views would be considered far right extremist, he makes Trump look woke and that's why he has a hardcore following among disgruntled young men.

Many Russians actually believe he works for the FSB as a double agent, basically a controlled opposition type figure that the West is duped into rallying around.

Wow, what a lot of false information. This is a typical russian propaganda narative. Take part of something that is true ("In the West, those views would be considered....") and change it into something you make up.

Russian government is trying to make people believe he works for CIA and other "western employers", but most common folks don't believe this anymore. Russian propaganda did not change since the Soviet times, so it's fairly easy to spot it in the wild.

Of course, anyone claiming else is labeled either "Employee of the West" or "brainwashed".

These protests appear to be a bit unusual in high-handed Russia. Perhaps Putin should take note of the severity of such sudden rise of populism.

Many Russians do not believe that He’s working for the FSB. That is laughable.
