Really this is quite mild. Denver airport design/murals are far worse "Globalist" type art.

Poor taste but global publicity but a double edged sword this. And by the way Jews were not the only victims of the nazi regime.

What a crappy looking entrance.

This article portray's Jews as the only victims of Nazi blood thirst.

But In reality, not only Jews died an unnecessary and gruesome death, but also millions of other civilians, among them many children, internal political rivals, young soldiers, partisans, political activists, Christians (http://www.ksta.de/region/sie-wurden-verschleppt-und-ermordet,15189102,13315450.html) you name it, they didn't stop anywhere. Just look it up on wikipedia.

Secondly, you don't need to publish assumptions about who would "most likely" protest what. Just report on what actually happens. Like: there was no protest whatsoever against that Nazi cafe.

And by the way Jews were not the only victims of the nazi regime.

Always an ignorant statement bordering on the antisemitic (but for now Ill give you the benefit of the doubt)

No one, including the Simon Wiesenthal Center, argued that Jews were the only victims, but no other group was targeted for extermination like the European Jews. A full 90% of Poland's Jews were wiped out, for example.

I recommend doing some research before creating any more innuendo.

“If we want to speak up about humanity, why don’t they stop wars in this world now, like in Afghanistan? War always claims so many lives,” he said.

He makes a very good point.

However, when contacted by AFP on Saturday Mulyana said he had decided to close down the cafe temporarily, refusing to give further details.

The powers that be have a far reach...

But In reality, not only Jews died an unnecessary and gruesome death, but also millions of other civilians, among them many children,

Very true.

From a painting hung high on a blood-red wall, ...

Did they really need to add the word "blood". They seem to go out of their way to make this place seem as gruesome as possible.

His cafe could not contrast more deeply with attitudes in Europe, where several countries have criminalised the promotion of Nazi ideology and the denial of the Holocaust.

On the other hand, there are a number of massacres that are denied or taken lightly in Europe, but which sicken the Indonesian people.

So, are they going to have riots in in western countries.

-.-... Why use a "NAZI SWASTICA" for a cafe/restraunt. Sure Indonesia may not have been effected the NAZI ERA but come on, millions of European's have been effected and this will only cause outrage.

Rather then closing temporarily, they could name it something else or change themes.....but using NAZI stuff is not nice.

This is like one of those accidentally horrific taste fails that happens in Japan all the time.

@hoserfella- Yes Jews were the worst target. I agree, article references the Jewish concerns.

Do your homework. Jews, homosexuals, mentally and physically handicapped, political and social outcasts Slavic people....... Virtually ANY non Arian who was not beneficial to naziism. If the nazi's made it to Indonesia numerous indigenous people's would have been in labor camps also.

My point was "not only Jews should be concerned with the worship of naziisn or hitler"! Naziism is alive globally and fortunately minutely.

Better not to read between the lines, Assumptions are made.

Readers, please do not bicker.

@MarkG - Did my homework long ago, thanks. But you're still not addressing your veiled jab at protesting Jewish groups

Sounds like a whinge, let the cafe do what it wants - it hardly concerns anyone else.
