Which means what - state governments take the lead, local councils or should the whole country just drift?? .. peace out or just cop out??

@nostromo It means I would like as much government out of my hair as possible. Belgium went along fine without anything but the bureaucracy in place for years. Mostly all the federal governments do in modern stable countries these days is stir up trouble. I would be happy with weak governments all around. However, those people that panic at the slightest shadow need their proxy Papa's, whether its government or God, and feel much better for all this "strong" talk. The world is full of little sissies IMHO. And politicians like this know how to hook them.

"Turnbull’s elevation has cemented a culture of disposable leaders as the new norm in Australian politics since the 11-year tenure of Prime Minister John Howard ended in 2007." - article

When's the flag re-design scheduled?

Shorten is scum. If he ever became PM you can be assured he'd send the country into the 3rd world.

Never mind Mr. Shorten - the conservatives are themselves doing pretty good job of it. Unemployment levels not seen since the grubby little-Johnny-Howard days; secret trade deals with China (and those who question these deals are labelled as "racist"); increasing national debt; companies shutting down left, right and centre. But, hey, we've put some criminal asylum-seeker toddlers on boats in permanent detention, and got some jets over there bombing the Syrians, woo-hoo!

Tony Abbott, too genuine for his own good. We are now left with a back-stabbing left-leaning elitist. The only difference between Fraser and Shorten is the fact he isn't controlled by Unions. Shorten is scum. If he ever became PM you can be assured he'd send the country into the 3rd world.

A message about how Australia and the government are still strong. A message for the sheeple of the nation of Australia who just cannot even conceive that they might be able to get by without a strong hand to direct them.

I will take a weak federal government any day.
