A totally dysfunctional family.

Unable or unwilling to accept the fact.

William and Harry have betrayed the promise they made to their Mother. It is an public embarrassment.

The situation is made worst with a toady press corps.

All have more faces than Fu Manchu, back stabbing press briefing, sneering discontent, a King and Queen up to their necks in adultery.

The Duke of York, gross behaviour, his sordid acquaintance with a convicted pedophile.

It is a damning testament to a monarchy in terminal decline.

A totally dysfunctional family

Plenty of other dysfunctional families but not as high profile as this one.

I don’t know if it will be a death by a thousand cuts to the monarchy. Certainly can’t be taken seriously as role models. Nor should they be.

My dog, not these two 'grifters' again. They will do anything for money, even destroying their own families. I feel quite sorry for Markle's father though, he gave her every thing growing up, only for her to cut him off and totally ignore him in his time of need, whilst he was in hospital suffering heart problems. And they did the same to the Queen in her dying days. What a lovely couple....../s

I suppose they are all playing a PR game now with Harry and Meghan being the more egregious.

All needing to stay relevant.

It is toe curling, all families have their up and downs.

Dysfunctionality can be a reflection of modern life, however monarchy function, the entitlement, must have a purpose, the Crown seem intent on bemerching its own existence.

What is so eye watering, is the ruthless brutality, such perfidiousness, the smiles, the snideness.

The whispering campaigns, shallow, hollow displays of family togetherness.

The rather embarrassing media circus over speculation into the hue of Harry and Meghan first child skin colour is an example of how crazy and insensitive such conversations can be misinterpreted.

I think you still have the idea that they should be some kind of role models. Affairs, divorces, disliking the in-laws, backstabbing etc. isn’t uncommon in families - rich or poor- and this is a weirder family than most.

William has gone more plebby - appearing on footy podcasts with ‘Crouchy’, asking to be addressed simply as ‘William’ etc.

They’ll probably continue to sell a more downmarket brand rather than being pristine. It could help to lessen the blow of any future shenanigans they get up to as long as it isn’t pure filth like Andrew. They won’t get away so easily with anything like that again.

Mr and Mrs Wales. Why do they still have titles?

I feel bad that Meghan was a target of systematic racism in the UK.

A royal disgrace.

Role models .....?

It is the undignified lack of forbearance.

The Royal family role is to promote unity, a sense of pride in UK heritage culture.

Not to display disloyalty, to betray each other, the toxic infighting, the refusal to compromise, to bitterly feud, to disown, and finally insist that closeness of family is broken beyond repair.

There is a dark cloud hanging over the Royal Family.

A fractured broken shell of what monarchy once stood for.

“It's a nasty and deliberate attack,” the insider said. The names of the king and the Princess of Wales appear in a passage of the Dutch edition ...

Mostly from the rightwing trash press.

I wouldn’t give you odds of 50/1 on guessing who they are.

I suppose Charles can still attempt to do that. Having one of his kids playing silly buggers doesn’t necessarily stop this.

I think the Andrew business was the biggest dent in their reputation. The Harry and Meghan business is soap opera fluff.

Andrew being matey with Epstein and having an accuser paid off ( who paid? ) stunk the country out. This is far worse than a sideshow about what may or may not have been said about how brown a baby would be.

The royal who made the racist remarks is part of the rightwing trash press?

It hasn’t been established that the remark from a royal was made.

I’m no apologist for the UK royal family.

Odds on the remark being made? I’d go lower than 50/1.

It hasn’t been established that the remark from a royal was made.

The letters between Meghan and Charles referring to the person who made the remarks establishes it; unless the left-wingers want to deny this.

I’m no apologist for the UK royal family.

Except it seems when it comes to royals making racist remarks.

Odds on the remark being made? I’d go lower than 50/1.

I'll take any odds, as the remarks were made as per the article and other sources.

Kate and Charles worried about Archie’s colour?

The Windsors have a history of racist remarks but I’m surprised that such crassness could come out of Kate’s young mouth…
